Having spent two terrible nights in another hostel very close by and reading lots of similar reviews of other places near by I was delighted with my stay as Casa Teresa. LOCATION: It's close to the old town you can walk there in 20 mins, or grab a cheap Uber/Taxi for around 6-8000COP the area is safe to walk even at night and there are some good places to eat near by and 24 hour convenience stores. ACCOMMODATION: It's a new hostel, it's only been open about 3 months as of June'23. It was clean and comfortable, the rooms had great A/C, I stayed in the 6 bed dorm room, it had privacy curtains a personal electrical socket and reading light. A decent sized bed with very comfortable mattress and linen. The kitchen had what it needed to cook basic food. The toilets and showers were all clean and functioned well. The decor was also very nice, giving a very relaxed feel. The only downside I can think of was the front door was a little difficult to open from the inside but really that's all.

If you like places with noise, disorganized and heavy atmosphere, then NO NO NO!!! THE HOSTAL CASA TERESA has what I was looking for, I stayed 10 days that were the best, I felt like arriving home after touring this wonderful city, you will not miss your mattress because your beds do magic for sleep OMG!! It is close to the historic area, shopping centers, you can walk in the neighborhood to Getsemani, it has a bay and several delicious restaurants nearby...
