I absolutely loved my stay here. So much that I cancelled my other hostel I had booked for my return to come back here. Location: Amazing - Getsemani is a wonderful neighbourhood with tons to do & see. I felt very safe at all times of the day here. Cleanliness: One of my main reasons for coming back here...if you find a clean hostel you don't want to risk going to another! The shared bathrooms were always in tip-top shape. Dorms: I was in a 4-bed female dorm. The AC was great, beds very comfortable. Had lockers for luggage and main door locked as well (which was a rarity in my travels through Colombia) Staff: The staff was incredible - another big reason I chose to come back. They were helpful via email from before I even arrived to help me know my airport options...they helped me book tours, find a running route, and even had a great recommendation for a tattoo shop. They were all so absolutely amazing and always made me smile whenever I'd run into one of them. Atmosphere: This was a very quiet hostel - very rare to run into others. I sometimes felt like I was the only one here. There's a great rooftop but I was always alone. Great if you want peace & quiet, but might be too quiet for some. Only great things to say! :)

This review is for the restaurant. A rare find of a thoughtful, well crafted, deliciously cooked menu with local ingredients and flavours. It makes for a unique experience, our most liked and surprising during a week in Cartagena. Prices were reasonable, and less than expected in the area. Service is very kind. We ordered and enjoyed their take on the street arepa with sausage, their ratatouille with local flavors which felt really unique and was very well presented, and eggplant with sweet onions. Many veggie and vegan options. I suggested and do hope they expand into Bogotá!

I absolutely love this hostel!! I’ve stayed here twice and it’s amazing! The 24/7 AC is a godsend, the multiple choices for the included breakfast are incredible, there’s free ice and filtered water, and the staff are lovely. The rooftop is cute and the jacuzzis are cold water which is amazing with the heat of Cartagena. If you get the chance to do the cooking class, it is so much fun and if you visit the hostel’s restaurant, be sure to try the garlic sea bass! It was the best meal I’ve had in Cartagena without a doubt.

Participated in an authentic cooking class this afternoon with Jennifer & Adrian. Cannot rate this experience enough - WOW!!! 10/10. Firstly, if you’re looking for a way to learn about Colombian cuisine and the secrets of their flavours, this is a must do. Set on the rooftop area of their boutique hostel/restaurant, it’s the perfect spot! Just myself and a friend, with their chef Jennifer and assistant Adrian who was also very helpful with translation when needed. Bonus, they played great music to enhance the experience even more! Multiple choices of dishes to make, also catering for vegetarians. Included in the price is a complimentary drink (wine/beer/soda), an appetiser and main (that you make) plus a sweet coconut treat for dessert. All for $150,000 COP! (Approx $50 CAD) Such a fun vibe and great way to spend 1.5hrs of an afternoon. Multiple time slots available. Thank you so much for such a great experience, I hope you continue to be successful!

I stayed at this hostel recently, and absolutely loved it. It is considered pricey for a hostel in Cartagena but it is like staying in a hotel; the most friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to offer suggestions and tips to make sure my trip was great, it felt like a family. Breakfast was delicious and the Colombian breakfast changed everyday so I was able to try lots of different typical styles (there are also other options available). It wasn’t so busy when I was there a week ago, however this did not change the experience for me at all. Thanks so much to everyone who works here - all fantastic people and I will definitely be recommending this hostel to people😃

My partner and I attended the cooking class with Jennifer and Yoli as my anniversary gift to him and we had an amazing time. Everything was very clean and organized and the kitchen space was the right size for all of us to engage. The food we made was AMAZING and they did a wonderful job explaining the process and creating a fun environment (which is what cooking should be)! I am a Colombian adoptee and Jennifer and Yoli made me feel especially special with their kindness and thoughtfulness as I reconnect with my culture and food. 10/10 we would do this experience again. Thank you Jennifer and Yoli!

I took the Cooking class here. 10/10 !! I would highly recommend this activity to any visitor coming to Cartagena. It is set in a beautiful roof top kitchen. Very good value at 150,000 COP. The local chief Jennifer and assistant Adrian create a warm and fun atmosphere. I really felt it was a great way to immerse oneself in the Colombian culture. And you get to eat the yummy meal you create!

👍👍 One of the nicest hostels in Cartagena. Staff is as friendly as human beings can be! Very very helpful and fun to have a chat with. They even recognised me when going out after not having stayed there for a week! Location is perfect as it is in the centre of Getsemaní! Highly recommend going and b...

😠 A very bad rip-off experience: My review concerns the restaurant (not the hotel). A tour from Cartagena took us to this place to eat lunch which was "included" in the price. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter asked us whether we wanted to eat fish, shrimps, ceviche (and some other option...
