A beautiful, relaxing and calming reserve. Good to visit during the summers to have a great natural air conditioning, breathe in some really fresh, clean air... soothing and calming for the eyes and all the senses... worth visiting to admire the beauty of Himalayan mountains...

This reserve forest sanctuary has always been one of my favourite trails and places to be in whenever I get time to explore it. Also known as the Hasan valley catchment area. Established from the British period it has a history of lifting water from here and much more. Very serene peaceful and pulchritudinous views just leaves you gazing at this green green valley. One can just sit hours and hours and spend time here. Totally relaxing and adventurous place. Entry fee is there per person and parking fee too in case if you bring your vehicle. Vehicles are not allowed Inside but one can walk or rent bicycles by paying the security which later on gets refunded when you return back. You are only allowed to be inside till 16:00 PM evening only. Request : Please do not litter plastic, garbage and pluck flowers inside the sanctuary.

Great place for short hikes and picnic with kids. There are many camp sites, mountain stays available near by. Camp Mashobra greens, Small victories mountain stay and cafe to name a few.

Nice place to spend leisure time. Peaceful and woods all around. Nice artificial work as well (still in progress). Sitting on top near Buddha's statue is special experience. A small tree house and children park is also there.

Whenever you to Kufri Please make sure don't book or pay for Horse ridding because they are just making us fool only pay for shoes only (pay for dress only when you want to play with snow other wise it doesn't need and they are charging for dress 500₹ and for shoes 200₹ for Horse 500₹ and for skiing 1000 per person.)

Imagine how would it feel to wake up to a tiny little home with fog and greenery filled all around? An 8-hour amazing drive from Delhi, the national capital territory is this queen of hills called Shimla. It's a lovely place to spend your weekends by. You can always head to this hilly place in Himachal with a bunch of friends or family as it's situated in the centremost region of all the northern states thereby being a convenient location for some hours drive. Shimla never fails to give you some picture perfect snowy moments and unforgettable memories! Head to the place for some fresh air & an aroma of happiness.

If you are on bike or driving to Shimla... Do take this road. Its so peaceful and beautiful. Offers lesser traffic as well.

Beautiful spot to see Asia's one of the densest forest area.Too crowded on weekends. please take your water bottles with you and also avoid thrashing the place with wrappers etc. Respect the place and its beauty.

It's a Wildlife Sanctuary with a major objective of providing hydrological ecosystem services to Shimla city. Marked by dense deodar and oak forests, the sanctuary is an example of nature's beauty. A walk through the forest road leads to good view points. It's peaceful, with lots of birds around. The Forest Department provides cycle on rent for those interested in cycling along the forest path for about 7 km. It's a must visit place in Shimla for only those people who are genuine nature lovers.

Craignano Nature Park is located in Mashobra and it's secret of Shimla, 13km away from Shimla bus stand. They charge 50 Rs for adult and childrens are free. The park is very good for children, the main attraction of this that greenery, peace, Pine tree, flavours and the children special tree house. CraigNano Nature Park is a valley of pine & oak forests and flowers like hyacinths, daffodils, celandine and roses. There are a lot of statue and the Buddha statue is main. You can go there with your family on a picnic and feel relax.

This park looks like you are in another country. British name, kids playground and a lot of open space to walk. Don't miss the top of this where there is a canopy and a grass lawn. Real flat. Image are only on the top lawn. Also there was a tree house to get some amazing pics and some family were enjoying a nice picnic. Not much cars in November 3rd week due to nice cold weather.

A pristine coniferous forest mainly consists of Ceder (Deodar) stands under Shimla Wild Life Sanctuary, the greenness is really relieving for my eyes and lungs as the landscape is far from the congested Shimla. Please don't pollute the place by plastics and other garbage.

Not as much as they advertise. The adventure activities they provide here are pure garbage . The zip line is only 100 meter long . The rope ladder is just for show. The apple garden has like 3-4 apple trees , dont know why they call it a garden. The horse ride to the area is quite exciting. Won't recommend this as a "must visit" location.

This is one of the most beautiful place on mother earth. This forest is too green and range is very wide. You can enjoy it from your car when travel from Shimla to kufri.

Beautiful place to visit. Nature walk and convenient to reach there just 16km from shimla. Garden and different kinds of flowers and trees is the main attraction. Kids will also enjoy in a small kids park. But there are no shops inside so please carry your own water bottle and eating items..

This perhaps is the least timed drive that can get you in true lush green mountains. Very isolated. Serene. Tranquil. Feel the nature here.

Its located in kufri & One can see few species of deer 🦌 & on some lucky day a brown bear and leopard. This zoo lacks the different variety of animal species that's one would like to see. This is one of tourist spot in kufri with a entry fee of Rs 50 per adult.

A beautiful n quaint place being run by the most gracious and courteous Mrs n Mr Sharma. Nice place crisp rooms with most scenic view ever. And the food cooked by the lady of the house herself is a blessing,is a treat for your taste buds

I have always loved this place but I am cutting 3 stars because of the following reasons : 1) There is no management for litter dropped from hassan valley which comes down to this sanctuary road. Very disgusting. 2) The cycles are very very old and in a very poor condition. Renting one is a nightmare because some part or the other breaks down midway and they ask you to pay for the damage which you aren't even responsible for. It's been 6 years they are telling me that they have sent quotations for a fresh batch of bicycles but well... 3) It's still very expensive if you get yor own bicycle as they have a separate charge for that. So it's best to take a walk and use your student ID if you have it for a 50% rebate.

There is no maintenance of sanctuary here... Only animals we can able to see ... Not that great for recommendation to visit. If you have time to spend, you can visit here. It will take half an hour to watch here that's it.

We'll i expected the place to be more serene, and green with fresher air. Unfortunately, i was a little disappointed. But the experience was still above average. The rented cycle seemed expensive to me 200 per cycle.

Some jaw dropping scenary on this peaceful walk. We didn't see hardly any animals, the odd bird and butterfly. Not sure if this is seasonal or due to the time of day. Well worth the visit and views :-)
