Some highs and some lows at this place. We'll start with the highs: Probably the best shower I've had. Took a little while to warm up, but had really good pressure and felt really nice. You could use both the shower and the handheld shower at the same time. The is no grips on the floor of the shower so it becomes slippery with soap. If I'd have been travelling with my wife then the separate toilet and bathroom is a good feature. The room I booked was spacious. Lots of pillows on the bed and a good area to work. A few of the TV channels didn't work, but as the TV is a smart TV then I just used the YouTube app. Live entertainment in the restaurant was good and they played a wide range of music. The lows: Probably the worst meal of my trip. Nothing really suited my preference from the starters menu so I ended up ordering Nachos. They should have called it chips and salsa as thats all it came with. Very plain and unappealing. Only ended up eating 1/5 of them. I then ordered ribs as again nothing took May fancy. Burgered and beefed out from my trip. Some chicken would have been nice, settled on Ribs. When they arrived they were so dry. The portion size was good though. Chips and salad was nice. Didn't get any real attention from the waiting staff to ensure the food was OK. I saw burgers going past that looked like they could have been a better choice. Booked the transfer service from he front desk as I needed to get to Charleroi airport for my flight in the morning. They charged me €20 for a shared minibus taxi for the 10 minute journey. Not a bad days work for them, a little steep for the guests. The ultimate question, would I come back? The quality of the room was good and maybe I was unlucky with my choice of dishes. I think I'd try another hotel in the area next time to see if the overall experience is any better. So I suppose the answer is maybe. Not a no, but not a yes. Let's see what time has in store.

This hotel serves its purpose well, being an airport hotel! Very clean and large enough rooms! Restaurant is good but overpriced! Thanks!

Hotel well situated at the entry of Charleròi-Gosselies... Room 👌 OK with restaurant with good proposals even if a little bit high from proce structure ... For some dishes availability to choose YOURSELF the piece of meet YOU need... Would recommend it for business trip

We had an unacceptable experience with the reception of the hotel. Even do everything was paid online, we had to wait for 1/2 hour for the check-in at 12:30 AM. There was obviously no other client in front of us at that time. Our Child was crying of tireness and because of the long wait. The receptionist was busy on a (personal) phone call. He could see that we were waiting and our son (6 years old) was crying. Despite this unfortunate situation, the facility were outstanding, confortable bed and good shower. We will never go back to this hôtel!

Best steak we've had for a long time. Rare was cooked perfectly - pink, not blue. The restaurant staff took good care of us, and the Friday night music was not too intrusive or loud. Room was a comfortable and cool, just a slightly odd layout. Being able to charge our car overnight was very helpful

We stuck at Brussels due to a cancelled flight, and have decided to choose this hotel for a night accommodation. The Hotel reception have allocated us a room and the keycard didn’t work . We asked the receptionist to kindly reissues our keycards which they have- only to see that someone else already is in the room . We travelled down to reception again to ask for assistance . The receptionist first struggled to speak to English to us due to “our accent “ but soon have figured out what we mean . He said “oh it’s a different number “ and sent us to the ground floor room . We had no apology and no one has offered any complimentary gesture. When my wife asked if they willing to do anything due to we’re technically being bumped down a class - he said “ well that’s what you’re getting for your money at least there’s no one in the room “ which is an extremely poor customer service after trying to check in for over half an hour !

A 4-star hotel which bills dinner to a group of 50 passengers from the cancelled flight on that evening, but then "does not serve dinner after 22:00", although hotel was informed that the group would be transferred from the Charleroi airport around 22:30-22:40... Really? Seriously? (P.s.: rooms and common spaces are fairly decent, though not necessarily 4-star level...) Hopefully hotel reexamines its service/guests attitude.

I have spent here 2 nights this time. The rooms are clean and big. The shower does not have a door so if the sewer is clogged the water might flood the bathroom and the room as well. Actually this always happened I stayed in this hotel. :) Some of the waitresses speak poor English, maybe this is the reason why my order was messed up and I was paying for a meal I never ordered. The restaurant can not issue an invoice (I was refused), only when the bill added to the room - so if you walk in for a business dinner it might be a problem…. Also the take away breakfast is very poor for the price and coming with a bottle of drink for what you need opener (could be problem when you dont have one 🧐) when I asked to change it for something else (i.e standard bottle of water) I was refused…. 😳 When all these things happening in a budget hotel I have no complaint, but here….

This place was sensational. I'm floored by how awesome the service was and how welcome we were made to feel, despite being a herd of 7 people, 3 of which were tired kiddos. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking for an easy nights stay near Charleroi.

Bathroom floor was dirty, toilet door handle almost falling off, rainforest shower so scaled, it’s hardly working anymore, quite some bugs: silverfish, wood lice, spiders and even a cockroach. Reception staff was unresponsive to the issues. Other than that rooms are modern, beds are good. Breakfast is good. HVAC and wifi were good. Restaurant staff were excellent and friendly.

Good Hotel. But too expensive for the service offered. Especially for the restaurant. The receptionist are very polite and helpful. But the taxi service is poor. I had to wait 40 minutes 2 times for going just to the airport. I was on a trip for work at the airport and this was unacceptable. Its not full responsibility of the hotel but would be best to provide an alternate service. The waitress at the restaurant was very unprofessional and rude. She was inespressive and more importantly she didn’t take the right order. She added me a side to the plate without saying specifying that it was an extra and not included in the meal. Overall the rooms are satisfactory.

Great hotel. Advantages: spacious rooms, excellent bathroom, modern and luxurious hotel, lot of parking, there is an elevator. Disadvantages: There are no chairs on the balcony

It's a disgrace that this hotel be in the Van Der Valk Hotel Group! **** (four stars)???? TV doesn't work! No toilet paper in the room, en when they bring it, the sheet type toilet paper, you are requested to put it in yourself, and oooh, you need a key to open the toilet sheet dispenser!!! EN not even WATER in the room to drink... Clown Hotel Galore!!!

Great choice for groups. Stayed for a few days with professional football team from Spain, facilities and service are ideal for a short to medium stay in Charleroi.

Pretentious. Obviously renovated but rooms look worn already. Lobby/restaurant look the part, but service is terrible, slow and arrogant, forget orders or leave you to soak for 15 min or more, refuse to speak English. Business travel with an EV? Don’t bother, all EV charging spots are permanently occupied by Tesla’s, you will need to find one of scarce chargers elsewhere, several km away. I will not recommend or consider returning.

Very nice hotel to stay, nice service, nice personal and kind they are very helpfull. Also the evironment inside hotel is pretty, bedroom very clean and minimal. The food in the breakfast is amazing, a lot of variety and very well prepared and orgnized, they have an automatic orange juicer. And a lot of everything. The two things that I miss are that they don't habe 24h food service. They close restaurant at 22:00 so if you arrive late you will need to find something outside. The other point that i didn't like was the bed (king size one) It sinks a little on the sides but not in the middle, I like more homogeneous beds, For everything else it is highly recommended

Very nice hotel, close to Charleroi Airport and highways. Rooms have been made with great taste and materials.

When you are stuck in a place like Charleroi it is probably the one choice. Hotel is renovated, but you can see how it is aged everywhere. We didn’t really feel great. What matters a lot to me is a comfortable bed. And this is unfortunately the thing that was really not good. Mattress far too soft and pillow like a giant stone. I ended up using the morning gown as a pillow. Food in the restaurant was only ok. And some of the staff‘s ability to speak English is limited which is unfortunate in an airport hotel.

Hotels interior is much more inviting than initial exterior visibility suggests. Good food too. Rooms are good although tv channels (if that's ones need) are not all working. Smart TV is easy to cast to. Cleanliness mostly good, but a few of the lesser accessed areas dusty (back of WC and top of the bead head board). Balcony's too are a nice room feature. I'd stay again for sure.

This was quite a surpprise in a positive way. Hotel is really nice. Rooms spacious, well maintained and super clean. Free parking which is not common for airport hotels. Service staff well trained and polite. Definitely to stay if you need hotel close to the airport.

Hotel is fine, rooms are nice. The resteraunt is absolutly terrible. I was here with 2 coworkers and we had dinner at the resteraunt twice. We never ordered the same thing twice, 2 out of the 6 meals were good. 2 of the meals were ok, but not good for what they charged. 2 of the meals where almost inedible. Service was also amongst the worst I've ever experienced at a resteraunt. I understand dinner in europe is conducted different than in the US, but this service was BAD!

Overall good hotel, clean and well maitained room, with friendly and helpfull staff. Restaurant serves delicious foods with wide variety of beers and wines. As it is situated close to the highway, a bit noisy

Not available iron at the hotel as other customers used all. What do we do if we are on a business trip but we arrive at the hotel late at night? The website indicated iron in the room. Don t trust them. That is how a business trip starts in a terrible way for sure.

We only went there to eat. The volume of the pianist/singer performing was so loud it was difficult to talk. We had to wait more than 45 minutes for 3 poke bowls. The portions were ridiculously small, you'd expect more for 18 euro each. And finally the wine that we ordered twice never arrived. This is disappointing and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go and eat there if they're hungry.

Nice hotel and friendly service. Restaurant was very good. Only negative point was that the Wifi on the 5th floor was very very very slow....

Deceiving Hotel at first the outside looks like your average but inside it is very modern and very classy. Beautiful hotel. Lovely bar downstairs. Has a restaurant with outdoor seating. They have a butchers fridge on show where you can choose your steaks these can be 9+ marbling rate so check your prices. We chose a steak to share it was beautifully cooked. Staff are friendly. Rooms very clean and presentable. Felt luxury. The jacuzzi bath was amazing and so relaxing. Parking at hotel adequate. Great stay comfy bed. Only 19 min from the air port which is very handy.

Room was far too hot, no air con or fans provided. When I asked for bottled water they didn’t have enough to for all guests because everyone was complaining about the heat. I spent two nights here for business with very little sleep because the rooms were far too hot. On the plus side the restaurant was nice, good breakfast menu and evening options

Do not stay there. The guy in the reception on the 12th of September 2022 19:00 is responsible for the following: First he didn’t speak good english and he didn’t ask for help for his colleagues who do speak english. Then he kept telling me in my phone that there is a shuttle bus which didn’t arrive after 30 minutes me waiting at airport parking. Then he wrote an order that I want a wakeup call at 4:30am but I never asked for that and realized that just in my last night when I managed to hear the fixed line ringing. He destroyed my business trip cause I never had enough sleep.

Lovely to see veuve clicquot served by the glass. Food is not the best though, not sure how anyone can mess up smoked salmon, it was tasteless like it was passed under water before serving. Service was intrusive with self deprecating, offensive, jokes.

Very nice hotel. The restaurant and bar is a VERY lively place the last Thursday of the month. One of the managers in the bar/restaurant, Andries, is the best! Great guy who took a little time to talk basketball with us and made sure our issues at the bar were handled quickly! I may make a trip back on a last Thursday just to get the full breath of the entertainment. I wasn’t dressed to partake as much as I wanted and it looked like everyone was having a great time.

Nice specious rooms, most of which have a balcony. Quiet hotel with comfortable rooms. Receptionists speak English, but at the bar/restaurant it is mainly French. Restaurant is nice and varied, but a bit limited on the vegetarian options. The location is good to reach the Charleroi airport, and in 20 min one can get to the town centre for restaurants.

Got a family room for euro150 a night. Spacious room but missing a bath tub. Kids enjoyed the space. But , they should have a hot water kettle - as when traveling with kids, easy to make milk. Would recommend as a short stop if you are driving the long distance. Also the Tesla chargers are not super chargers- so it can take a night to charge. Furthermore , there were also cars parked in the charging stations ( not electric cars or Tesla) . Mgmt should look into this.

Only first feeling. Location of hotel is perfect, near to highway. Staff on reception speak English and French. Room is nice and clean. In the room is little bit noise from near highway. I will add review from night if it was ok or still was so noise. In the room is coffe machine, safe deposit box and what is unbelievable - iron 🙂 Additional information after one night. Noise from highway at night was not disturbing. Breakfast is one from the best which I visit in Hotels all of my time of traveling.

No room service for drinks, although it does not say anything about it in the room menu. The "ipad" (a tablet from 2005) in the room is not working so I had to call the reception and hear that my room service order was not even received. Some people say it is a 5 star hotel, others say 4, but in fact they have tons of 1-2 stars rooms and only some high luxury rooms. The view is "exciting", you see a parking and a loud autobahn.
