The facility is not a dedicated hostel. It is half hotel and half hostel. Outside was super dirty, trash and junk all over the parking lot and around the outside of the building. There was a fight and yelling in the parking lot for about an hour after I got there. There maintenance guy said it had been going on for a month. Seemed like the hostel had the third floor and the bottom two levels were the hotel, some type of extended stay. Rooms were clean enough, bathroom shower was pretty dirty, but I've been in worse. I would say the pics on the website made it out to look much nicer than it was. Having said that, there was remodeling being done, so they are maybe fixing it up, but the building looks run down and trashy on the outside with trash all over the parking lot.

DO NOT BOOK THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. I contacted them within 24 hours of my booking to change my reservation dates and they did not respond. When I reached out to them again they said they couldn't help me and it was past the deadline...Despite having proof I contacted them. They them stole the money out of my account. This is a problematic company that lies and steals.

Bposhtels is doing Hostelling differently than most. As A result, I and others have been a little confused about staying at the “Hostel”. Therefore, I write this review in hopes of clearing up much misunderstanding as to whether Bposhtels is a hostel, a motel or both. The truth is in my opinion, it's neither. Bposhtels leases rooms at various motels around the US that are then rented out in the form of hostel rooms rather than regular motel rooms. That is why when you arrive to get your room key you go to the desk of the same people that runs the motel. For this reason, I have opted to not include an evaluation of the motel employees, the building or the property as much as I would normally do so. Because Bposhtels has no control over the motel employees, the building or the property only the 3 to 4 rooms they lease in Charlette, NC which at the time of my stay on Labour Day Weekend 2023 was the Motel “Studios & Suites 4 Less Airport Location”. The motel at the time of my stay was in the middle of renovations and from the looks of old photos on Google the motel has come a long way however, there was/is still much work to be done. As a result, the Lobby was closed and the pool as well. For further information on the Bposhtels room I stayed in please scroll down to “Rooms”. Thank you for your time.

I've been here at this bphostels in Charlotte for some weeks, Rob does a great job an more of making this facility at the top. However, I wish they had complimentary coffee in the morning. He makes things a lot easier by being communicative to each person.

My stay at the Bposhtel in Charlotte, NC was an experience. Not a good one for sure. First, online & even on their cards they list a cafe and a pool for the meetup locations. Neither existed and I could not even go in the lobby because its closed to all customers due to renovations, indefinitely. I was told by an employee that others have been just as upset finding out there is NO pool or cafe. Second, I walk into the room and there is a huge A/C water leak, refrigerator was dirty & beat up, there is no washcloth given to people, not even kleenex and dont get me started on the floors. I dont believe they own vacuum cleaners. I would be more then fair saying the place is a hot mess. I have to say this location is one step away from closing due to neglect. This type of doing business makes the corporate company look bad and deceitful. They need to go to this location and check it out for themselves.

Not terrible as far as hostel go. Bathroom was clean. But it smelled really bad when we first walked in and took about an hour to air it out when we arrived. Other than that it wasn’t bad.

I thought it would be weird bunking with people I don't know but it's actually not bad at all. It was safe affordable and convenient. And if I contacted them for anything they took no time to help. So thank you Bposhtels for a great stay.

Not bad....if you don't mind messy construction..service people always have their own style at every hotel ...the ones that work here are decent....in my eyes that means not nosey....positive vibes.

Genuine workers here, cool community. Not the best neighborhood, but overall pleasurable experience bunking with my guys. Robert C. made sure I was covered.

I stayed in this hostel for 5 days and I have a lot to say about my experience. Firstly it is in an unsafe area. There are signs posted every where that the hotel will not be liable for any theft with your car. Of course I made sure to never leave my bags or valuables in the car but one woman parked on the side of the building, because of construction being done she could only park there, and someone stole her car! I spent my entire trip looking out the window paranoid that my car would be stolen! The website states that fresh towels would be provided everyday, most of us never even got a towel let alone a fresh one daily. One day we had a girl check out and no one came and changed the sheets and remade the bed after she left! A new girl came in and she had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. Also if you can't sleep in the top bunk make sure you let them know in advance because they will not allow you to switch. On my 4th day the sink got clogged and a man came to unclog the sink, spoiler alert it did not get unclogged so the sink was completely filled with water that wouldn't go down. I had to brush my teeth in the bathtub. Also, the website says you must prove you are from a certain amount a way to prove you are a traveler and not a local but it is not enforced. Local homeless people checked into the hostel and one girl tired to steal my bunk mates wallet and she had to call the police to have her dealt with. The common room is not open to the public so don't expect to go to that space and make friends and have a place to hang out outside of your dorm room. Also, please bring plenty of water bottles because they do not have a place for you to fill up your water bottles there, they have an ice machine but not water. The soda machine only has soda in it. The staff as not that friendly either. I'm used to having friendly staff who are eager to tell me about the area and help me find fun places to go and eat etc. The staff there did not care. As I stated earlier there is construction going on as well so everyday was different at the hostel trying to avoid the chaos. Also a man outside of the hostel asked if I had a cigarette, no idea if he was a guest, construction, or homeless but I felt uncomfortable. The hallways were disgusting! They look as if they had never been vacuumed before. And our keys would randomly stop working so we would have to go downstairs and get them fixed multiple times. I know this place is a cheap place for an overnight stay but if you plan on staying longer I'd say it's worth it to go and pay the extra amount for a nicer hotel and peace of mind.

The whole place smells like cigarettes, the bathroom was not very clean and the bed was springy. But this is an acceptable place for people travelling close to the airport on a super tight budget. Awesome that they do female-only shared rooms.

This is a wonderful place to stay whilst in town! I am very pleased with the service I received. Robert was the most helpful employee that I have ever come into contact with! Robert still went above and beyond the call of duty. I have made a friend for life with Robert and Marcos. Marcos likewise deserves the same glowing review that I am given to Robert. I would recommend continuing with these Bposhtels Hostels, I will continue again. Thank you to Robert and Marcos. Warmest regards, Mark Andrew Hunter Jarnigan

This is not a hostel. There is no community or things to do close enough to walk. This is in an old hotel made in 1989 and it looks it. That doesn't really bother me though. Things were clean but just a bummer of a place to stay. Great for a late night followed by an early morning but don't plan on hanging out here unless you book the whole room for you and your friends. Nothing like the hostels in other countries in Europe or Australia/NZ etc.

I came to stay here through the Hostelworld app, thinking it was a new backpackers hostel in Charlotte. They are still creating that part. So although dorm rooms for 4 people and a cheap price are the way to go there is still much to be done here to become a hostel. The are renovating so for now no common area and breakfast. The room was clean and cleaned daily. They have safes and include a lock and keys at check in. Fresh towel everyday. The card key always stopped working but as soon as you took it down stairs to reception they fixed it. The bus id close but fosn't run often. Apparently there is a light rail from the airport that is close, a 15 min walk. Would reccomend if your looking for cheap and close to the airport, remmember its a DORM! 4 people together! I hope they someone to be more of a host type at desk for the day to help backpackers to get around and see Charlotte.

I stayed at Bposhtels Charlotte for a week and loved it. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the facilities were top-notch. I especially enjoyed the outdoor courtyard, which was a nice spot to relax after a day of exploring the city.

Bposhtels Charlotte is a great budget option for travelers who want to stay in a central location. The dorm rooms are basic but clean, and the common areas offer plenty of space to hang out with other guests.

Booked this place for being cheap and all regretted. I’d say it’s unsafe for women, but actually is unsafe for everyone. Woke up in the middle of the night with the room phone ringing, 2min later heard three shots in na row and some cars leaving the parking lot. I called 911 and they said there was a car in its way because they received other calls for the same address. Later, I called to the receptionist to ask what happened and she said nothing “just a regular security round”, when I asked about the shots, she said it was next door, when it was clearly in the hotel. I don’t even know how in dangerous I was, I never knew what was going on, because of the hotel's negligence not passing on information.

I had booked an entire room but they split up our group -- why did they do that when they could have kept everyone in the same room? Also the room was not sanitary with only dirty towels provided. In general the inside was dilapidated and dirty. The room smelled.

Great place to stay on the cheap. The room was clean. Thin comforter but you can adjust the heat. In room lockers a plus. Was not truthful about how many people were expected in the 4-room unit. Male staff curt and hostile when asked simple questions about accommodations. The pictures on the website do not depict actual beds, lounge area, etc. A resturant within walking distance. I would stay with them agin.
