Overall I would stay here again. It's a nice hotel. The lobby is spacious and clean with plenty of seating. There's a little convenience shelf near the check in desk with amenities you might need, drinks and some freezer meals. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, although a bit outdated. The downside is housekeeping doesn't come every day. But they have plenty of towels and soap in the bathrooms along with makeup removing wipes. There's a small kitchenette area in the rooms with dishes, cups, a dishwasher, a sink, and dish soap with a towel. There is lots of storage space in the room too. The pressure in the shower wasn't great but adequate enough. The breakfast was very good. There's lots of options including waffles and several juices and everything was fresh. Right outside the main lobby there's a nice fire pit area with seating all around. It's a propane fire pit. There's also a private patio area where you can grill and relax on your own. This place is pet friendly, so if you don't have pets that can be a downside. It's family friendly for sure. You can't really walk anywhere, but there are lots of things within close proximity to drive or Uber. There is also a gym that looks decent and washing machines/dryer on the first floor but we couldn't find the pool we thought was there. Overall it's a nice hotel and the price is very fair. I would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Initially I thought I was going to have a pleasant stay; I was sadly mistaken. my first night the room was extremely cold and when I tried to turn on the heater it didn't work. naturally I grabbed the phone to call the front desk, but it didn't work. I decided I would just let the front desk know in the morning when I went down for breakfast. The breakfast bar was definitely sub-par. I decided not to eat, I didn't eat any of the nights I stayed actually. There was food there, just not the greatest looking or a very clean environment. While I was there, I decided to let the front desk know about the heater. I might as well have been explaining calculus to a 1st grader, she just didn't get that the thermostat on the wall wasn't controlling anything and the wall unit, while operational, wasn't doing what either control unit was telling it to do. Second night was about the same, But the third night was when It turned into a nightmare. The smoke alarm in my room went off multiple times. waking up on one of the occasions is when I noticed the extreme cockroach infestation. I understand cockroaches are not uncommon in the south, but a little cleaning goes a long way. I had to use my cell phone that morning to call the hotel and let them know i was a guest there and that my smoke alarm was going off every couple of hours. I was told that maintenance would be up first thing in the morning to fix it. I waited as long as I could before I had to leave for work, and I actually ran into the maintenance man on my way out. I asked him if he had been told about my smoke alarm and he said that he had not been told (big surprise). the one good thing I will say about this place is that he fixed it immediately and was very pleasant to talk to. Overall, a terribly dirty place for the price. I would definitely not stay again.

What a COMPLETE DUMP THIS HOTEL IS well at least my room … but the hotel itself needs work… to start the elevator is slow and moves as if it will fall in on you VERY SCARY AND CAUSED ME ANXIETY… my room had roaches the sheets were not cleaned microwave light wasn’t worked … these things haven’t been checked ?? The room seems old or uncared for… I hope and pray I don’t get bed bugs … floor feels dirty … I was so tired I just dealt with it and being a high Diamond member we shouldn’t have to put up with this mess with all the money we put into the Hilton company so I’m going to start going to Marriott because they have something as simple as a late check out that Hilton employees struggle to want to give that to even loyal members..: I’m tired of it … that should be a given and simple thing to make mandatory… my room looks like wasn’t cleaned the last few times someone used it … and I feel disgusted in it having to lay my head on a dirty pillow etc .. I should sue Hilton for such nonsense … START HIRING BETTER WORKERS because they are quick to rush you out a room in the morning but don’t even clean them … so if I get any bacteria or covid I’m suing them because they should make sure employees clean the room so make sure you listen to reviews this time for this property it’s true the rooms are dirty and sheets aren’t cleaned

As an Honors Reward member I was disappointed. The room had no smoke detector. The four lights in the kitchen didn’t work. There was no phone in the room. The air conditioner leaked all night and in the morning the carpet was soaked. Although the room was supposedly recently renovated, the sofa was filthy. I will say that the beds were comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The staff were kind and helpful but I doubt we’ll return

Poor service and I do not recommend. Asked for extra pillows first night and was told none available at all..they hung up with no further assistance. Halls were lined and obstructed with new furniture to squeeze by, thank God there wasn't a fire or emergency. Woke up next morning to find no body towels, only washcloths and hand towels. Was told no one could bring any. Came back later that day to find room not made up and trash from unpacking the new sofa all over. No towels delivered to room as was requested. Wednesday morning was tired of the mess left but was told they could not do room service unless I requested 24 hours in advance. Seriously...at 7 am you haven't even started cleaning and can't arrange it? It's your mess even though I'm paying $150/night. Very poor experience.

Overall our stay was pretty decent until we found a cockroach running around our toothbrushes one morning. It is kind of disappointing to think how much lower quality Hilton hotels are these days. I would be embarrassed to have the Hilton name of this hotel even without the roach. The rooms are pretty dated and could all use a really thorough cleaning. On the bright side, the staff was pretty nice upon check-in. When I showed them this roach video they couldn't help me since I booked with a third party website....

This hotel is not worth the money paid. For a hotel this modern I would expect much better quality. The most glaring issues are the maintenance issues with our room. 1) the door has been ripped part way off the hinges and a shoddy repair has led to the door being difficult to open, as well as one must lift it to close the door. 2) The outlets in the kitchenette do not work, had to move the coffee maker to find a working outlet. I tried resetting the gfci, but that has been painted over so the buttons are inoperable. 3) a switch in the kitchenette is not screwed in which could be a safety issue. When we arrived the staff informed us the pool was down for maintenance, the desk attendant indicated it has been down so long they have asked to take it off the website. This was a big disappointment as we were hoping to relax by the pool. The window in our room had berry old painters tap on it. The lobby and Elevators are dirty and not welcoming, the floors look like they haven’t been cleaned in months. There are broken and damaged tiles in multiple areas. In the elevator, the walls have what looks like someone spilled food or vomited. The shower in our suite was not well cleaned, with mold through out and hair left behind. The last issue was with breakfast. The only thing available was enough batter for one waffle a few English muffins and a bowl of cereal. I would expect these issues from a $40 a night motel, not a Hilton Property. The management at this hotel must be absent for so many issues to be compounded. I can forgive one of two of each of these issues, but as a collective, this is unacceptable.

Here's my experience - I walked into my room and put my bags on the table. I then walked around and started my inspection. The bed was clear, behind the headboard was clear, and the living room was clear. I walked into the bathroom, turned the lights on and I was appalled by the amount of roaches I saw. I immediately grabbed my bags and left. I booked a room in the hotel next door and the place was way cleaner and it passed my inspection. A few of my friends couldn't close their door (broken hinges) and others also saw roaches. We all left. This place has a nice lobby and outdoor space. But the rest was gross. They need to close the hotel and fumigate the place for a few days before reopening. If you care about not bringing back any roaches to your car or home, I would advise you to book somewhere else until they really care and clean the place. Noemi was a nice. But she could only do so much.

Ms. Rita and the rest of the front staff were amazing. 5 star rating is about them. Rooms are a little worn but will do. Cleaning staff left my door proped open, unlocked, and didnt really do a great job.

The front desk staff was very friendly. They made you feel very welcomed. I stayed in room 214 from Jan 2-4. The shower still had hair and an open soap box on the shelf. Probably need some checks and balances that all areas are covered. Also the shower gel was completely empty. I also had to mention that I was a gold member and was to get a snack and drink. It was a nice display of breakfast every morning. Only one elevator is working. Definitely not game changer items. I would stay again.

The front desk lady(young AA) was nice. The room was clean, but the mattress in rm 314 (first bed) is worn out. My back hurt all night. My first time experiencing this at Homes 2 by Hilton. I won't be staying at this location anymore. The fire alarm in my room was missing. The heat in the room wasn't working and the first elevator was broken.

Home2 suites is typically one of our favorite Hilton brands and while the staff was very nice, this hotel is slowly falling into disrepair. It’s just little things now like chipped paint, random furniture through out the place, dresser drawers that won’t stay closed, and dead light bulbs in the shower. HOWEVER it seems they’ve completely abandoned their pool from the way the staff talked about and it sad to see such a good hotel slipping. It is clean and a decent value. But not what we expect from the Home2 Suites brand.

We stayed at Home 2 Suites by Hilton in Charlotte on May 11. We checked in and went out to dinner that evening. Upon returning to the hotel for the night and to shower, we realized that there was not hot water. I let the shower run for about 20 minutes. It got just a touch warmer, but it was not hot. I decided to take a chance and I got in the shower only to realize that it was still quite cold. I showered quickly and then called the front desk. The lady informed me that the plumber had just left and that the water should be getting hot now. She told me that they had checked several rooms to see if the water was hot before the plumber left, and it was. She said that the hotel had been without hot water all day, which we were not informed of upon check-in, otherwise we would have gone to another hotel. She told me to let it run for a while to see if it got hot. She never offered to move us to one of the rooms that they knew the water was hot in. Not to mention the fact that we have been Gold Members with Hilton for a very long time. We let the water run in the shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink for around 2 hours, at which time my husband said it wasn't hot but it was warm enough for him to shower. The next morning the water still was not what I consider hot but it was warm enough to shower quickly. In addition to the hot water issues, this hotel is very outdated, as you can see by the pictures. The actual living space in the suites is plenty big, but once again the decor is very outdated. There are several hotels in this same location. If you have to stay in this area, please pick another of the available hotels nearby.

Great last minute stay in the Charlotte area. Daryll at the desk was great as well. Room was pretty clean and spacious. Guests in room upstairs were quite loud and room door would not open or close without a good deal of force.

Very old hotel. Breakfast was very meager compared to other Home2 Suites hotels. Heating doesn't work properly. No hot water for showers in some rooms. Noisy fridges. Unable to lock the room. Not coming back.

My 3 day two night stay If I could give this place a zero star, I would the fact that when I checked in the night of there was an overdose the next room over from me also I asked the manager if they could have housekeeping clean our room change the sheets. The manager told me that housekeeping changes sheet ever 3 to 4 days that’s hotel policy Also, when u would like to take a shower afterdriving 10 hours straight no toiletries at all in the bathroom also no shower curtain, toilet roll wasn’t even on Hook. I work in healthcare field. I never heard of such a thing. The pool was unavailable breakfast was basic as it could be microwave bacon, spicy sausage. Lobby smell and whole hotel was so hot it was like ac was broken. Homeless people screaming outside the front lobby. Little cockroaches in the room as well. Not worth the stay. I would’ve stayed at the motel inn or something. I also called back tell them I left pair of dress shoes there they told me no one found or return it in. So hard to believe that. My room key didn’t work so went back to front desk ask fix it they said come back in hr our system down we are in 2023 about to go into 2024 come on

My overall experience with this hotel was dreadful. Despite being a Hilton's Rewards member for nearly three years and having positive encounters at various locations, this particular franchise was among my worst within the Hilton umbrella. During check-in on a Thursday afternoon, I booked a room for Friday and Saturday, specifically choosing this location for its indoor pool. Unfortunately, the website did not mention the inoperative pool, leading to a frustrating check-in experience. The front desk staff displayed a strange disposition, and my constructive feedback about updating the website was met with disrespect. The assigned room, chosen due to availability, was subpar with dim lighting, non-functional lights, and trash under the sofa bed. Requesting additional amenities for the sofa bed revealed another shortcoming in the hotel's service. The hotel lacked smart televisions, and being on the first floor posed challenges with loud tenants and music during late hours. Despite these issues, the digital check-out process was a positive aspect. In summary, this was not the hotel for me. My attempt to address concerns with the general manager went unanswered, signaling a lack of quality in staff, business, and customer experience, pointing to a leadership issue. I hope others have a better stay. Thank you for your attention.

Room was nice, but all the public accommodations weren't run well at all. Pool was closed, water bottle filling station needed a new filter the entire time I was there, coffee was routinely "out" at breakfast in the morning. Anything that required basic maintenance was completely lacking. Rooms above me were insanely loud like it was a Chuck E. Cheese with kids throwing themselves against the wall. Rooms without kids had dogs barking in them anytime someone walked by. Thankfully I'm a heavy sleeper but it was ridiculous. Staff weren't rude in anyway, but they simply weren't doing their jobs in any way, shape or form.

If you are staying at this hotel, do not use your digital app. I use Hilton for all mine and my crews stays as needed. I've never had an issue with the digital check in or check out untill this hotel. Make sure you guys check out at the front desk and get physical copy. These people are thieves and will charge for a full stay if you check out early. I'm willing to bet they rented the room because my digital key no longer worked but they say some how I was still checked in. Do not trust this hotel. I did reach out to dimond desk but can't do much. Not like they can't check the camaras or anything. I would stay away from this hotel.

The hotel and room were decent. Wish the pool was open but was closed for renovations. The staff was very friendly coming and going and helpful when needed. If the hotel was crowded we couldn't notice. The bathroom could've been cleaner in our room. Most of the light switches had to be jiggled a little for the lights to come on. When the water got hot it was only for a moment.

Under staffed, under supplied, and under cleaned. When we checked in we noticed all trash receptacles were completely full. Went to our room and found that we had no soap or personal products. The floors had not been washed, our door had a a chunk out of its exterior, and the sink had no receptacle to hold water. The mattress was comfortable but had ti y particles over entire sheets that was like sand. When we checked out there was no breakfast at 630. The receptionist made us coffee but said she did not know how to provide the hot breakfast. The staff was nice but overworked. The receptionist had been there for 3 days and stated that she was relieved 2 hours late and dobted she would stY as everyone complained. Yikes.

I have to say, this has been one of my favorite stays in a hotel. The staff was extremely courteous, efficient, and friendly. The room was spotless, inviting, and the shower was perfect (water pressure and temperature were on point). There is a young woman there, I believe her name is Naomi, went above and beyond for me, and a customer who was booking an extended stay before I was checked in. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay whether you are on business or vacation. The location is just off the beaten path, yet not too far away from a bustling area of restaurants and shops. Great location and people!

I should have read the reviews before I booked here. The front desk is not helpful/ just sitting at a table to the side in front of a laptop. Genuinely didn’t even know they worked there and thought they were a guest. The whole 4th floor smells like cigarette smoke/weed. The room door doesn’t close and you have to jam your hip against it to get it to shut. The pool is closed and they didn’t tell us at booking. I booking adjoining rooms as traveling with small children, confirmed before paying onsite that the rooms are adjoining, then went up to the rooms and they absolutely were not adjoining. They couldn’t find us alternative rooms but we had already paid and it was too late to find an alternate hotel. There are about 5 other cleanliness/ inconvenience things I could mention. There are lots of other choices very near by- don’t stay here.

The suites were quite amazing!! To top it off- the complimentary breakfast was over the charts! The food was cooked with love and excitement! They also offered HOT TURKEY ITEMS for breakfast! Their were so many options! Very delicious!! I would definitely recommend trying rhis place!

Beautiful hotel. New modern rooms which are very comfortable. Windows have perfect dark shades. Only negatives are very loud mechanical noises (not near and elevator). And breakfast was terrible. But if you don’t care about breakfast you will be happy

The hotel lobby and grounds were great. There was construction going on just outside the parking lot but that’s temporary and forgivable. The rooms seemed pretty clean but sorely in need of updating. The bed and bathroom were both clean but the couch was torn and stained so bad I didn’t want to sit on it. There was an abundance of stains in the carpet too. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick stop to sleep, it’s great. No bugs, roaches, or anything else that I could find (and trust me, I looked!). If you’re looking for luxury or your typical Hilton standard, this isn’t it. At least not until they update these rooms. Why are soundproof rooms not a thing? Someone knocked on either my door or the one next to me at 4 am. People slammed doors and spoke loudly in the hall most of the night. Oh - and Ebony at the front desk was fantastic! So helpful and greeted my by name every time she saw me.

Stayed for two weeks for a business trip. Housekeeping did not do their jobs to the fullest ability. Had to get my own towels, toilet, paper, shampoo and conditioner, and remind the front staff and manager to take out the trash in my room several times. No control over the temperature of the hotel or rooms. Breakfast over cooked eggs like they were microwaved and running out of plates and utensils during breakfast cold coffee the only thing that I would recommend to eat would’ve been the waffles that you made yourself as far as staff goes. They were friendly and kind workout room I have the equipment was broken. Laundry room was OK. But mainly the housekeeping was a major issue. I am not a person that complains and or writes too many reviews so, I must’ve had one of the worst experiences for me to actually state something .

My friends and I came to Charlotte for a Panthers game & stayed at this hotel. Noemi was awesome & very professional. She was also training two new employees—Sydney and Ayanna, who were great & courteous. Rodney, who was the maintenance guy (I think) was always smiling and kind. Very professional gentleman. We highly recommend staying at this hotel. We’re coming back soon.

The customer service was outstanding, but that did not account for the terrible shape the hotel was in. Our first room, you could not open the door without a running start. They moved us, as we were staying for 2 weeks, but the next room was only slightly better we just had to hip check the door open(yes I have a bruise from doing this). The pool and gym were closed the whole time we were there. The complimentary breakfast did not follow the hours posted.

I have stayed at many hotels this year, with the majority of my stays at Hilton properties. Absolutely, no doubt this was the worst experience. I am a Diamond member and was not greeted at all or recognized for my loyalty. The gentleman at the desk last night was great. The other employee was not. She has no customer service skills at all. She interrupted her co-worker while he was helping me. As he was helping me, the phone kept ringing. She sat at a table on a laptop. He had to stop helping me to answer the phone. When she finally checked in another guest she kept talking over her co-worker as he was assisting me. The first room I went to, the door was open, dust was all over the fridge, all drawers and cabinets were wide open and the sofa sleeper was half-open. The gentleman offered to check the next room before I went up. Guess what - - - it took him to check two additional rooms before assigning me to one. Yes, it took 3 rooms. The hotel had so many areas that were dirty. Papers on the floor, dust everywhere. Not even cleaned to 50% of what I normally experience with Hilton. NOEMI, the Assistant Manager, walked by the desk when I was communicating how unhappy I was. She stopped walking, turned around and looked at me. Said nothing. She continued to the "back area" behind the desk. I did let her know how unhappy I was with my experience and that of her. All she said; I was on the phone. To top it off, her dog was off a leash and was jumping all over me. Not even an apology. She just picked it up and walked away. Each time, I left my room, my key would not work requiring me to get a new one. Breakfast this morning was a joke. So many crumbs all over the food counter. Cream cheese is out but no bagels. When I asked the attendant if there were bagels, the only response I got back was "no." -- no apology. The eggs were cold and the bread was dry. I mentioned this to the desk clerk this morning. His response: we are a new staff and the management company is new. So? These basic items should not occur at all. He at least wished me a good day. I was shocked that every employee I interacted with had on street clothes and only the one at the desk this morning had on a name badge. I will never stay here again! Thank you.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The reason we booked the hotel was for my granddaughter's 21st birthday. She wanted to stay in a nice hotel, swim and go to Carowinds . We found out this morning the pool is closed for inspection and the breakfast selection was very limited. What items they had available were burnt or still frozen. Trash was running over in the floor by the coffee area and the staff said they didn't have to change it out, directed us to a trash can around the corner. I have pictures of this. The room was great but I would not stay at this location again . You can't sleep in because the house keeping ladies are so loud. The hall floors and elevator are very dirty. As far as the pool being closed the manager did give us the address to another hotel with permission to use their pool. Very inconvenient to use a pool when we were told at booking we had a pool here

In response to an email from HOME2 Suite to check-in on-line (to skip the desk, selected your preferred room, and use your phone as your key), I did so the night before arrival. When we arrived, the digital key would not unlock the room. Trip to desk to get a card key. That didn't work either. Maintenance guy offered to help. Determined battery in the lock was dead. Opened the door with a physical key. The room had not been cleaned. Another trip to the desk to get assigned to a different room. Higher floor. Only had Queen beds, none of the King rooms were cleaned. (It was 3pm). Asked to speak to the manager, never got called back. That night there was an area-wide power outage. It lasted all night. There was no generator power or air conditioning; no hot water available in the morning; no emergency lighting in the windowless stairwell; no breakfast available. The hotel has a sign that if you're not completely satisfied, the night is free. Although the power outage was not their fault, we certainly didn't get what we paid for and there was no offer to compensate the people who stayed there for the inconveniences. I will never stay there again and it is the worst Home2 Suites we have ever visited.
