When I found out that Chengeta was having a promotion and charging only $20 for a full day trip inclusive of lunch and game drive I I absolutely had to hop onto this opportunity. The staff were so welcoming and the environment was so peaceful. There were lots of animals to see on the game drive and I particularly enjoyed the intimate elephant interaction. The food was delicious and served enthusiastically. Next time I'll remember to carry a swimming costume though cause they had the most beautiful and calming swimming pool, but could only put my feet in.

This is an amazing place to get away from the city life. So serene, the green lawns and the beautiful pool, Breathtaking! I loved how we were hosted, We had made a booking jn advance with specifics and they honoured it. Thw food was divine with their game meat so on point. For $35pp with one activity and access to the whole place and a Kids jumping castle and kids pool, its entertainment for everyone. The DJ was on fire during our visit with everyone vibing to his music. This was FUN and Relaxing!!!!

Loved every Minute at Chengeta. It was a little hard to spot game because the grass is still tall and very green. Heart broken because we did not get to see the elephants. The food was amazing loved the game sausage.

It was an OK stay. The staff however was fairly hospitable. I think they could improve their menu and quality of food to match their standards. The game drive was informative. Would rather go in the morning or sunset when it's less hot because most animals will be hiding from the heat.

Reception was welcoming. The game reserve was beautiful. Tranquil environment. Clean rooms. Would suggest bedside tables next to bed. The food was scrumptious. Can't fault anything. Lovely drive, roads good, safe environment within the reserve 👍 😀.

Good outing with tha family, I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a short day trip over the weekend or on holidays. The food was good. Had great variety and was fresh. I did have an issue with the payments which definitely took away from the experience, they quoted me incorrectly and asked for a top up on the day of travel.

Nice to spend time away from the City, this was my 3rd time visiting and disappointed they ddnt serve game meat, the lion is now solo, i hope they get a permit to keep more lions. I loved the rooms, the renovated them and they look amazing now.

Did a day trip to Chengeta from Harare. There was a bouncy castle for the kids, lunch was excellent, cash bar for refreshments. Game drive viewing very informative.

Elliott was a great waiter... There needs to be more information on the page or what's available and dress code especially if you would like to do canoeing and horse riding

The game drive was very good, enjoyed the swimming pool as well. Had trouble with the bees in the pool area though. The rooms were top notch, a great African experience. The hospitality was also good.

Enjoyed the place, service, the game drive and the fresh food as we requested for special vegan meals. However there is need to improve on power supply by installing a solar system. The open plan for the bathroom is also not the best setup. Smoking at public places, like the bar should also consider other non smoking guests. Really didnt like the passive smoking from the other guests, whom i suspect were senior employees. In general it was a very nice stay that we enjoyed so much, the scenery and tranquility was excellent

Best game drive. However, next time when doing the holiday packages like the Independence Day one try to make food that's at par with your guests.

We went there on a day trip. The reception service was terrible and they kept messing up our payments. The food was okay and the tour guide and the other workers were excellent and polite.

Zimbabwe wildlife- different animals ie lions, (Shumba)are found here, loved the elephants in particular. Zimbabwe has the second largest herd of elephants after Botswana. Chengeta Safari lodge is a weekend getaway with different activities to do. Friendly staff & great service. Beautiful, evergreen vegetation- plus the cool fresh air, will definitely take your breath away!

This was an Amazing place for a weekend getaway with my family.Chengeta has the BEST service ever, literally the sweetest staff 💯From the food to the Environment..it was blissful and a calming .Loved it!!. highly recommend.
