I’m sorry and I mean no disrespect but honestly I’m a true foodie and I love to eat and I love good foods from different cultures, but this was my first and last experience I’ll have from this restaurant my fish was over cooked and dried out and was very salty ain’t no way this is Harold’s. Had I stopped and checked my food before I left the restaurant I would of told them and asked for new food it literally tasted like old refried fish, but unfortunately I was tired and wanted to go home and eat in my comfort zone. At the end of the day as a paying customer who paid a little over $40 I would expect to be served good quality food so to avoid this problem I just won’t shop here anymore because what they gave me any human with common sense would of none that wasn’t even acceptable to give to a dog.

This place is expensive and their wings are super small I ordered a 8 piece and it was 15$ but the wings was not worth it and I know sometimes a small piece my slip through the cracks but all of my wings was like this hey, if you ask me I'd rather go to Honey's Chicken on Torrence right off Sibley best chicken in the city. Try it!

The food is decent. I actually like going to this location. No longer though. Young man working there, the only young man working and has absolutely no training. He has been the only worker I’ve had issues with. He has been the only disrespectful worker and only one speaking to me, a customer, with an attitude every time I pick up my order. It’s so annoying I’m tempted to ask which days he work so I can stop coming on his work days. Today was the last straw. This Harold’s, as much as I appreciate it, will no longer be seeing me because I am tired of his services.

Visiting the area and I've heard about this place. I enjoyed the food especially the catfish. The mild sauce was also good.

Waste of money on these wings. I always check the inside of my wings and this is why. I ordered a three wing and a four wing tonight. And they are not cheap. I could have went somewhere else or just kept my money in my pocket if I was going to throw it away. No wonder I heard ppl ordering tenders and fish but not wings. Horrible

First time at this location and I'm very disappointed. This chicken taste NOTHING like Harold's I don't know if they didn't marinate it or whatever they do to give it the Harold's unique flavor but this chicken taste plain no seasoning at all and on top of that my fries were old and dried out. Anyone that worked in the restaurant business know when those fries turn brown and shriveled up they've been sitting up too long. I feel like I wasted my money and I'm hungry because I couldn't enjoy it. As you see from the picture I didn't eat it. I drove 25 miles from Dupage County just to be disappointed. I mean just look at it, it doesn't even look like Harold's Chicken. If you look at the other photos from the reviews you will see the major difference between mine and other customers.

Regular customer here for decades. Specialty is chicken - don't get anything else. Your chicken is cooked to order, so it might be slower, but you get it fresh and hot. I always laugh at the logo of Harold chasing a chicken with an axe. Phone/delivery orders are not reliable, but an advantage of this location is ample free parking, so go there yourself. Look for discounts for students, seniors, etc. on certain days. The trick is to go there and order your chicken, go next door to the liquor store and buy beer, come back and pick up your chicken, and take it all home for a feast. Best fried chicken anywhere, but there's a certain choreography to getting it.

This place is TRASH…. The lady at the register might be retarded…. Why take call in orders and say 20 mins, if y’all not even gone start cookin till the person get there and pay…. You ask for mild sauce they give you hot, you ask for hot they give you Mild. And it stank in there most of the time.

If I could give this 0 stars I would! Called in an order about 30 minutes before showing up and they didn’t even start preparing it! I wasn’t the only one either. There had to have been about 7 other call ins that showed up and of course their orders weren’t prepared. Everyone had to wait about 45 minutes or longer for their orders whether it was already called in, an Uber ears order or a new one altogether! Very disappointed and I won’t be coming back to this location.

My chicken was refried I called to complain and was hung up on twice. The person I spoke to claimed her name was Mary. The chicken wings where so dry when you bite into them the whole bone would Crack. They refused to give me a credit and advised me to bring it back the next day. Yall will never get my money ever again and I was a frequent.

Basically, times I have eaten at this Harold's, the food has been good. Employees are respectful and courteous. It is expensive now.

The cashier is really off putting. She made a mistake with my order and instead of taking responsibility for her mistake, she blamed me. However she did correct it but this other person that bagged the food (Man w/a very Gingerly Voice) was extremely RUDE, ARROGANT AND DISRESPECTFUL for no reason. Needless to say I ended up having to bring my food back because it was not fully cooked. It's ashame, you pay these places the astronomical prices that they're asking for but they are giving you a very poor quality of food and have the nerve to get mad when you're not satisfied and bring it to their attention. Restaurants Do Better. Quality Food = Successful Business.

This Harold's has been a staple in the community for many years. People love this Harold's chicken as they add the great tasting mild sauce on the chicken piping hot. This gives you a great saucy taste on your chicken and fries. Food is made to order so there is a wait time for the food. This store is always packed and busy so don't expect a quick in and out, you will wait for your food. There is a waiting area and plenty of parking. The chicken is fresh and prices have gone up, as with most fast food stores, due to COVID inflation ☺️. Great food to say the least.

Gas station food disguised as a Chicago delicacy. The chicken was lukewarm and oily and the "classic" mild sauce tasted like bottom shelf ketchup. Do yourself the favor of driving a bit further down the road to Red Snapper for some real Chicago fried chicken.

I mainly order through GrubHub. No issues ever. Harold's has been my fav since the 90s. Still the same. 🔥 Harold's is known for its chicken, and occasionally pizza puff on top. So reading these bad comments about food other than chicken is just funny. Harold's is notorious for its chicken. U went and bought something else, that's yo fault 😂. BTW, when u buy chicken, if u like it kinda crunchy, yet u also want mild sauce put on top, tell the chef to fry the chicken hard. Then u can enjoy your sauce AND crunchy skin. If then don't fry hard, u get increased chances of soggy chicken skin

a busy signal..that long..in 2022.smh. 3 weeks later 10/6- same B.S! only this time it rang for 2 minutes and then went to a fax machine! That lady there is nice..but dam.

Y’all it’s harold’s. It tastes like you expect and the service is bad. I love this location because it has the 5$ half dark special, which is an absolute steal, so definitely come here for that mon-wed. Otherwise it’s a totally average location and can take a while to get your food, definitely not fast. I kinda love the vibes but it’s not for everyone. Chicken can’t be beat though.

Barely any sauce on my food. Wongs were small asl for that price and it wasn’t fried hard like I requested. Idrc about bad service but that was bad too.

3 wings and only 1 was eatable. 7.49+ down the drain, upon sitting to eat at home, meat was dark and the bones were black. Sauce good and white bread was fresh, that's all.

I tried one time this spring. The chicken wings were very tasty, I think. Don’t order the chicken gizzard since these are so hard to bite. I wondered if the gizzard was fresh enough. Try something that others order. I waited for 40 mins and still think the chicken wings were worth it. They offer discount for UChicago student if you order directly with them. Next time, I may try call ahead!

This entire franchise is a horrible location. The first time I catered a large order over the phone which took a very long time once you finally got through to them, only to arrive ready to pay on the day of service and they don't have an order placed. The customer service was typical black people sass and attitude. Today I decided I would try one more time to promote a black business> Nope never even got to order over phone because they won't pick up. I'm good. I'm going to go that chicken place down the street I think its KFC. Should probably go to Northside for that though. better customer service.

MY SON STOPPED BY THIS HAROLD TODAY FOR ME AND GOT AN 8 PIECE WINGS. THEY ARE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE OVER COOKED THEY WERE OLD WINGS!!! JUST PLAIN NASTY 🤮 NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE SO I CAN COMPLAINANT.I HAD TO GIVE THEM AT LEAST ONE STAR. IN ORDER TO LIVE A POST.

One of the better experiences I've experienced. Fat deals, super thicc servings for a gr8 price, not to mention lovely décor! 5/5 would dine again
