My siblings and I had a wonderful stay here. It was such a treat as we are all Frank Lloyd Wright fans. We enjoyed just sitting around and absorbing the feeling of being in this home and feeling Mr. Wright's vision. The grounds are beautifully manicured. The tea house was fun to relax in on a Spring day. Peggy was very helpful with our booking and answered any questions I had before our arrival. We hope to do it again soon.

This is one of the smaller houses that Frank Lloyd Wright designed later. A few years ago it was restored and is now incredible! The house is available to rent for groups or just a getaway. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own small outside deck. There is a roof terrace sun room and a detached day room and garage. Guaranteed you'll enjoy your time here.

Stayed the weekend with a few girlfriends at this beautiful house. Very clean and secure with a garage. The master and queen beds were very comfortable but the pull out was pretty firm. 2.5 bathrooms and a full kitchen. The only bad thing was the noisy traffic that kept me up at night.

This is my childhood home. I was born and raised here and my family were the last family to ever live here. With my first hand knowledge I believe I am the only person to actually be born and raised in this house. I’m both flattered and hurt that my house has brought so much pleasure to so many people. I understand my family sold it and it is what it is but I can’t help feeling slightly violated as a result. I’m seriously flattered as well but I’m sure you can understand that sense of ownership only a child who grew up here can feel. I sincerely thank you all for your admiration and only ask that you all remember that this home belonged to real families at some point. People like myself who love it like a member of my family. Kisses to you all and thank you for your kindness. Frank L Miller Jr By the way, it was my father that had it registered as a national landmark.

Beautifully maintained FLW property. Knowledgeable docent took her time guiding through the property.

My husband and I had a fantastic 25th anniversary celebration staying for 3 nights in this pristine FLW designed house. We enjoyed just hanging out in the house appreciating the architecture and furnishings, as well as the lovely yard and tea house. We walked the neighborhoods and especially liked the walk north along the lake to the outskirts of Evanston. Found a couple of restaurants a few blocks away, so easy to walk everywhere. Highly recommend reading the book about the house to enhance understanding and history. Hospitality by Peggy and Carmen was exceptional. We also visited Oak Park and the FLW home and studio as a prelude to staying.

Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding was because of the staff and venue at Emil Bach. My partner and I had to postpone our wedding for two years because of the pandemic but Peggy (staff at Emil Bach) made this process seamless. Peggy is one of the most thoughtful people we know and she walked through every single step with us to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. She worked tirelessly to make sure we had the caterer we wanted and was kind and patient throughout it all. Dana (also staff at Emil Bach) is also an incredible wedding planner and event coordinator. In the months leading up to our wedding and on the day of, she made sure every single detail was accounted for and made us feel like we were well taken care of. On top of the incredible staff, the venue is absolutely stunning. We booked Lang House and Emil Bach for the weekend and our family and friends were so comfortable, happy and loved everything about both houses. They are both historical homes with modern luxuries and every amenity you could want and imagine. We had our ceremony in the elegant AC tent, our cocktail hour on the rooftop, a mezcal tasting in the tea house and the rest of the evening in the garden. It felt like every space we utilized was tailor made for our gathering. Luckily for us, our August wedding meant we got to enjoy the flowers in full bloom which elevated the venue even more and made for great pictures. Our family even asked if we could renew our vows every year at Emil Bach just to have an excuse to come back again! If I could give any venue and staff 10 stars, this is the place. Peggy, Carmen and Dana will give you their full attention and this venue offers you everything you could want to celebrate your union.

Be careful of your equipment you bring to the venue, they scoop it up and keep it. Good luck getting it back

There’s no way to quantify the number of “wow” comments we received about this venue where we had our wedding. We knew the second we visited Emil Bach House and Lang House that this was the right place for our event, to the point that we didn’t even look at anywhere else. Our experience confirmed our inclination many times over. The grounds are unique, the houses’ history is front and center, the guest rooms are comfortable and each have their own aesthetic personality, and the housekeeping is thorough. If you are considering this house for a special event (rather than for a regular Airbnb-style weekend stay) I cannot give a higher recommendation for event coordinators Dana and Peggy. Thanks to their professionalism, we were able to completely enjoy our party and never had to worry about anything. This is an ideal choice for an event especially if you are looking for an alternative or off-the-beaten-path choice.

My wife and I had our wedding here recently, with us staying in the Emil Bach House and our families staying next door in the Lang House. Everything was spectacular, from the properties themselves to the team who helped us every step of the way (shout out to Peggy, Eric and the rest of the staff, who couldn't have been more wonderful throughout the weekend). I would highly recommend both the Emil Bach House and Lang House for your next special event. Our wedding was truly special, and these properties (including their amazing grounds in the back!) were a big part of it. Thank you!

Absolutely delightful experience. I hosted an event where a large percentage of the attendees were formally trained architects and designers. Living - cooking, sleeping and laughing - in a perfectly restored historic house was a top 5 experience for this group of world travellers. Also if you have a chance to work with Dana and Peggy, do it!

Lovingly restored Frank Lloyd Wright home with a tea house added later. Stay here if you are able! The gardens are beautiful also.
