👍👍 If your looking for a shallow beech this is the one, the water is maybe 3feet deep in the areas they allow swimming. It is never too crowded and there is always a life guard on duty People often mention beach,

This was a really lovely public beach on the North Shore of Chicago. It's quite clean and well maintained. The highlight for me was the dunes that are being preserved and brought back to their natural state. I'd like to see more signs and trash cans but overall I appreciate the minimalism of this beach.

Plenty of room for tons of people. If you want to sunbathe, toss around a frisbee, run with your dog, or just take a walk, this place has plenty of space and relatively soft sand. The water is never warm, though, so don't expect to be spending too much time in the lake.

I love the Chicago lakefront and this spot is great. There is a long winding concrete ribbon, and people from the community have painted it. People are allocated space to paint, so it is orderly. There are protected grasses nearby. The beach is a refreshing place to visit in the winter as well as the summer. Very still and unhurried

Really great neighborhood beach! Lots of sand & open space. Dog-friendly (but still bring your leash). Scenic. I didn't expect to find this kind of beach in such a busy city. Also has Naturalist path, Beautiful views, I've never been there in warm months, but I understand it's a popular place in the summer & great place to swim.

The best beach has even a tree nearby to have shade, I recommend you go on weekdays as Saturday and Sunday is very full and you won't be able to enjoy it 100.

Loved this little beach! Super chill. A couple trees you can sit under for shade. Free street parking if you can find it.

A smaller, more intimate beach, this one is usually filled with locals or the occasional galle of students. Clean and tons of space, with an almost permanent nice breeze 👌 I recommend checking it out if you're walking around the area.

Very cute calm beach! Not very deep, I'd say about thigh high.

😐 You can park for as little as $2 for 1 hour. While I came here to see The Secret Mermaid, I was disturbed by the amount of trash, plastic, and glass on the beach. There are trash cans and recycling containers every 50 feet but trash everywhere. I started to pick up trash to keep it from going into...
