Went to five Michelin starred restaurants on a trip up to Chicago. The best tasting food of the week was at Elizabeth. What George and Ian are doing is refreshing in the Windy City: cooking delicious, not just meticulous plated food. Yes it’s beautiful, but the flavor is what takes the cake and has been on top of mind since we left. Bravo chefs.

Went there last night and got the 10th anniversary menu with premium wine pairings and it was fantastic. Worth every penny. Beautiful food, delicious and surprising, and excellent wine pairings. Very relaxed environment, very friendly and accommodating staff, and super cool playlist. Can’t wait to come back one day.

This is truly a hidden gem in the windy city. I almost do not want to share this restaurant. Great value and great food. Food is tasty. Good vibe in a quaint atmosphere. Nothing pretentious. I would definitely come back from time to time. This is a good place for all sorts of occasions.

An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. In Chicago for only two weeks, and I want to go back already. The non-alcoholic, non-carbonated, drink pairings were PERFECTION. The desserts were absolutely mind-blowing. Everything was totally unexpected and so very, very enthusiastically welcome. It's a must try, out-of-body experience.

Overall I enjoyed my meal. Lots of interesting and unique dishes. 5 for the menu. 3 for the interior design. For a dinner that takes 2.5 hours I wish I didn't have to sit on a wooden chair with no padded back.

🫐🌸🥗Hidden gem among the Michelin starred restaurants in Chicago. Elizabeth, situated in an unassuming building on Western in Lincoln Square, is a like a doorway to culinary Narnia. The hyper-seasonal tasting menu paired with expertly selected wines and adroitly crafted drinks teleports you to a foodie’s utopia. All 10+ courses have distinct intricate earthen flavors engendered by ingredients foraged from rustic gardens from across the world. Add to that De Stijl art inspired plating, a transcendent service and comely interiors to complete the fine dining experience of the highest quality. While the base tasting menu costs about $217, you can get caviar and beverage pairing add-ons which might bring you at $355 for spirit-free beverage pairing and $400 for wine-pairing (incl. taxes + gratuity). It’s worth every penny as the experience has some exceptional touches like the savory lunchbox course towards the end which contrasts exotic and unique flavors with a kid-menu vibe. It tastes like you had a bacon burger and milkshake meal in one bite (in a good way). This place deserves more Michelin stars.

Elizabeth feels in many ways antithetical to other Michelin star restaurants in Chicago. Tucked away on a random street corner in the quieter neighborhood of Ravenswood, Elizabeth eschews the glitz and glamour of upscale restaurants in River North or West Loop. Instead, the interior creates a homey, farm-to-table atmosphere perfect for a night out with family or friends. The ingredients and technical skills speak for themselves. The meal has a very rustic theme, highlighting a wide variety of harvested fruits and vegetables. It wasn't necessarily the most creative Michelin starred meal I've enjoyed, but the flavors still came together beautifully. I particularly loved the sweet breads, the mushroom tea, and the venison. The wine pairing and spirit free pairing were also delicious and an excellent value. I'm very satisfied with my meal at Elizabeth and look forward to coming back!

The vibe was a terrific blend of fine dining without being pretentious. Service was outstanding, perhaps only topped by the wine offerings. Though most every dish was good, only a few really stood out in the way I'd expect from a restaurant of this reputation. The mushroom tea/chocolate/truffle course blew me away, and the closing tart was a mind-blowing explosion of flavor (it was actually one of 3 snack offered in closing, and I would recommend trying it last in that course despite the staff's recommendation). On the other hand, the wagyu was entirely forgettable.

A culinary tour-de-force, over three hours of back-to-back delights. The service was extraordinary, and attention to detail doesn’t even begin to describe the precision. Excellent drink menu if you don’t do the pairing, which I kind of wish we did. Parking on Western leaves something to be desired, probably best to get a ride if you can.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, truly top notch. Food was inventive and at times super weird, but always left me wanting just one more bite. Reserve wine pairing was worth every penny. Service was stellar..I repeat STELLAR! Friendly, unpretentious, and honestly, it felt like being at a friends house. I mean, I wore jeans! Very unlike the many other Michelin restaurants I’ve eaten at (in the best possible way). Location was so confusing for a Michelin star restaurant that it wound up being quite charming. One of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory. This place is a WHOLE VIBE. I’m not going to divulge the menu, because I personally believe it ruins the experience…just shut up, eat what the chef gives you, and be happy. If you want drinks, order a pairing, trust the somm and be happy. 10/10

Incredibly delicious flavors and textures in all kinds of inventive ways. Plan for a very long leisurely meal with many courses. The alcohol free pairing is really good lots of different beverages with flavors that match the food better than you would expect. Top notch service.

My favorite part of the Elizabeth experience was the caring and considerate staff that turned a nice night out with friends into a memorable one. I enjoyed the current vegan tasting menu. Though not a vegan myself it was a great delivery of flavor and unique dishes that you are looking for at this level of dining. Looking forward to my next Elizabeth reservation.

Incredible food, service, and experience at this fine dining restaurant in Chicago. Deserves it's Michelin star and extra props for such attentive and super friendly service (zero pretension/snobbiness). Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants in Chicago.

A really lovely experience - the staff was incredibly helpful (including being very responsive via email!) and the food was fantastic. As a vegetarian, I always appreciate it when a restaurant makes effort to accommodate with an equally impressive menu. It felt like we really got an amazing meal experience, especially for the price. Would definitely go again!

We chose to visit Elizabeth because we wanted to support a female chef Michelin Star restaurant. She did not disappoint. Everything we had was absolutely amazing and it was an incredible choice for our last day in Chicago. The place is quaint, makes you feel like you have been personally invited by Chef Iliana Regan and her friends for dinner. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Here for the Wicked and Wild School of Wizardly Wonder (Harry Potter themed) menu. I was told by my dining companion and HP fanatic that a couple of dishes had some deep cuts that were straight from the books. Weaving these influences into the menu while maintaining the restaurants concept of local and foraged worked brilliantly and deliciously. The intimate setting (about 10 2 tops) was a very comfortable dining experience as the kitchen was very much part or the dining space and made for fascinating viewing between each of the 13 courses.

Wonderful meal from start to finish. Well thought out menu, perfect wine pairings. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. My favorite was probably the wagyu course. I've had a lot of Michelin restaurant wagyu, but something about this one was special. The umami was right on with the accompanying housemade bread and butter. And in another course the mushroom tea had such a deep, rich flavor. Well balanced with the chocolate cake with fresh shaved truffle on top. Yum!

We had an amazing dinner for the Star Wars themed special! The restaurant was purposefully decorated with outer space and movie themed memorabilia, and even the music was space themed! The food was divine. The explanations and the connections to the Star Wars canon made the whole evening fun. My wife has grown tired of my pure excitement since Rise of Skywalker was released, but even she appreciated the fresh look at the stories. Your team is incredibly talented and courteous. Chef Regan made sure we had enough paired drinks so that we could fully enjoy the menu as she intended. This was our first time doing a non-alcoholic pairing, and it was truly a home-run. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
