Excellent burgers by any standard, and for being vegan specifically they are a cut above. The atmosphere is nice and all the food we tried was delicious. We both got burgers and shakes and then shared an order of the loaded tator tots. The "cheese" all tasted very close to real, same as the burgers and bacon and milkshakes. If you're on the fence about vegan burgers, give this place a try.

The food here was delightful. I had the steakhouse special with blue cheese burger and a large portion of save the animals fries (burger sauce and caramelised onions). Both were delicious and I couldn't finish all the fries. I also got one of the thick chocolate shakes which was sweet and satisfying. All of that came to around $30 Definitely worth checking out.

Absolutely LOVED the cheesy hot dog with bacon, OG cheeseburger & fries! The strawberry milkshake is a little too sweet. Next time I’d like to try the Buffalo Chick’n Sandwich which the staff said is very popular. Also very happy with the eco friendly packaging! Reasonable prices too! Highly recommend this place for non-vegans and vegans alike! My non-vegan family members enjoyed it!

Listen to me this place is amazing!! Here in Chicago from Atlanta and I ate here twice on my visit. Soon as I get back to Chicago I’m coming to get that stand up burger, chili dog, and chocolate shake. No one is doing food and service like them. Period.

So delicious. Fries and BBQ perfect. The location is cool under the L tracks. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and try everything. Who needs meat? Amazing Vegan junk food!

Lots of choices for a vegan from out of town. The staff was really sweet and they made recommendations and even suggested some modifications based on my taste. Going after leg day was an amazing choice and you know I had to visit again within the week to get a vegan strawberry milkshake! I'd go back soon if I was closer to Chicago! 🍓

Food was pretty good. Would’ve been nicer if it was hot. The restaurant was very cold!!! They could definitely make it warmer a thus a more enjoyable environment.

Awesome vegan comfort food on a cold cold night! I had crispy cauliflower, vegan bacon mac-n-cheese, and the lentil soup. They were super yummy. The best news was that Grubhub was able to deliver the food to Hilton Chicago.

The burgers were ehh. They were very plain and did not really taste super amazing. Just tasted like any other burger. The animal style fries were very sweet and not too savory. Great that they have a gluten free bun though!

Super friendly staff. All vegan menu. Some of the food seems a bit ....I can get this at the store and reheat it just as well. However fake meat is processed and will be that way in any sitting, I did not do their more original meals. I will go back on future visits to the city.

Delicious vegan fast-food. The burgers are saucy and messy (in the best way possible). Tried the OG burger, bbq bacon burger, fries, tots with cheese sauce, chocolate and strawberry milk shakes, everything was 10/10. Super friendly service, delicious food and reasonable prices. Second visit: ordered the Buffalo chicken burger and OG burger. Mind blown. These burgers are out of this world. Third visit: ordered the Stand Up burger and the Buffalo chicken burger once again. I wanted to try the loaded dog but they were sold out. I also figured I should have some greens so I ordered the Caesar salad and I was not disappointed. I went 4 times durning my week in Chicago, it is hands down the best vegan fast food I’ve ever had.

My vegan guilty pleasure. Love that everything is 100% plant based and always fresh. The silverware, plates and boxes are all compostable which makes a strong statement about reducing the carbon footprint from their side.

So good!! I was there with several folks and we all tried different things. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was awesome. The burger my sister had and the bowl my mom had were also awesome. The only dish we had that was just OK was the Mac and cheese. I wish they had a location near me. I would make this a weekly habit!

YOU GOTTA TRY IT HERE!! The salad was delicious!! The “chicken” was also spicy which I loveeddddd. The mac n cheese was warm and creamy, I guess it could’ve had a more cheesy flavor but it was fine the way it was. I also added “chicken” pieces to it and it was the bomb! I also tried the chocolate chip + raisin oatmeal cookies and they were yummmyy. The fries were also delicious + thick and gave a generous amount.

Got the O.G burger on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. That was the best meatless burger I've ever had. The burger was so juicy that it seemed like a beef burger. Next time I will get a double! May not even eat meat burgers again since I've tried Stand-Up burgers! My Wife tried the Tex-Mex burger which was awesome too!

Tried their wild wings.. it tasted so much like chicken and the flavour reminded me of buffalo wile wings. For those who want to turn vegan, this is the place you must not miss. They have lots of vegetarian options. Don't worry if you see chicken or beef in their menu, it's just alternate meat. Whether you will like it or not, you must give it a try..

I love this place for so many reasons. Their food is delicious and 100% vegan, the guys that work at the front are super nice, and they’re one of the few places to grab food in the loop that are open past 3 PM on weekdays.

This is new favorite restaurant in Chicago! The food is awesome; It's all vegan and nut-free. The people who work there are awesome. They made us feel welcome and taken care of. 10/10

The food was amazing!!! I happened upon this place purely by chance and I am so happy I did! I had the BBQ bacon burger, chili cheese fries and Buzz shake, all vegan! The only reason I did not give it five stars is because my friend's order was wrong and an argument ensued between the staff because the kitchen had to remake a few orders, an actual argument with swearing and food tossing, totally unprofessional! I would definitely go back for the food but would like to skip the "show"!

Pretty good vegan fast food. I usually get the free bird chicken sandwich - pretty fire. The loaded fries they have are really good too. Shakes are really sweet, remind me of the classic McDonald’s one. So if you’re looking for that, this is the place. Overall, great place in the downtown area for a quick stop.

In the past I ordered bean burrito and liked it. This time, I ordered cheesesteak sandwich. It tasted very different from normal cheesesteak sandwich. Cheese was very fake and the “pretend” meat was awful. I finished eating it but later that evening I was as feeling sick and had to throw up. Will never buy “pretend meat” again.

Have visited twice. service is always friendly, the place is always clean. I have tried the steakhouse burger, the regular fries, “not” animal fries, chocolate shake, and the chik’in sandwich. Everything has been really really good. Chikn freakishly realistic. Burger tasted better than a moo burger. Not animal fries were better than real animal fries. Chocolate shake super chocolatey without any other funny flavors that might happen when you make a milkshake vegan. The place is a little pricey, you are looking at $20 for a burger with fries, but they can get away with it.

NAILED IT!!! Visiting from out of town and NEEDED a vegan chicken meal in my life after a long week of work. Saw that they had great reviews so decided to give it a shot. They did not disappoint!! Friendly and amazing staff, did not wait long at all for my food, and was absolutely delicious! The Freebird Buffalo Chickin' sandwich and fries made my night!!

The OG Burger was good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce. I also got a black tea that had really good taste. They serve vegan impossible meat for anyone who hasn’t been here. They also have gluten free options.

  • 4/5 Dorea R. 1 year ago on Google
I wanted to love Standup Burgers, and I am happy that they exist! But the food was just okay. I ordered a vegan chicken burger, Caesar salad and a strawberry shake. The salad was definitely 5 stars, the burger was edible, and the shake was awful. It was way too sweet and gave me a stomach ache. The staff were really friendly. I probably won't go back the next time I'm in Chicago unless someone I'm with wants to try it out.

everything was amazing!! i found out about this place when searching for new vegan restaurants to try out! and decided to try it out with my boyfriend! we both liked the food a lot. the milkshakes were so delicious, will be visiting this restaurant a lot :)

  • 4/5 David K. 1 year ago on Google
First time visit. I will second and third many of the previous comments. No dairy shakes with oat milk and a solid selection of burgers makes this worth your visit. Looking for a 5 buck burger...move on. Fries were hot and burger was appetizing. Option to go with the lettuce wrap vs bread for add on fee or chickpea base in burger. One star deduction for eating in a health conscious restaurant and giving out ketchup packets with high fructose corn syrup.

  • 5/5 Sera D. 1 year ago on Google
So happy I tried this place! Definitely worth going to again when I'm in Chicago. Got the blue cheese burger with the gluten-free bun which was really good, but definitely heavy on the blue cheese. Also got 2 ice cream shakes vanilla and mocha. Vanilla was definitely the better one, the mocha tasted like plain chocolate no coffee flavor at all. The Save the animal style fries were really good and worth getting. A sold vegan restaurant to try even for non vegan people.

This place was SO DAMN GOOD, one of the best vego/vegan places we've been to in America! Ordered the chickpea masala curry with "fried chicken" (they ran out of normal fried tofu, apparently there's a tofu shortage in Chicago), and fried chicken burger. SO TASTY and very good prices for the serving size. I only wished it was closer to where we were staying! P.S Get the house soda pink lemonade, no regrets!

I was very excited to go here and went for dinner. I ordered the Buffalo chik'n sandwich and got a cookie. I was the only one in line. The cashier was friendly and my order taken quickly. It was a long wait for my food and some things are a bit pricy. My sandwich was very good, even better than I thought. Cookie was dry and not worth the price. Definitely would go back.

  • 5/5 Grant P. 4 years ago on Google
I love this place! Cost is a little up there, but the portions are large. If I had a complaint, it would be the portions are actually too large, at least the bowls are. The taste of the veg items is really good, though I don't have much to compare with. I always do to-go, but the wait time during lunch has been low (5-7 mins)

My wife and I spent over $100 on Lyft to get us from O'Hare airport to this location because I've been wanting a vegan Philly cheese steak. And boy and Im happy we did! First time to Chicago and it's crazy huge lol!!! The sweet lady working the counter honestly have us the BEST customer service I've ever had! The food was deLISH!!!! My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich and she's gonna be day dreaming about it until a Veggie Grill opens in Denver where we live!!! I wish I could get you 10 stars!!!

I mean, like $12.00 for a veggie burger or chicken sandwich at a carry-out place, not a bargain. Not to say that the sandwich was not good, just over priced. And I predict that the prices will soon make these establishments history inasmuch as the place was pretty much empty when I visited at 6:00 pm.

Whenever I’m downtown I always stop in to this location. The manager Nancy is very nice and friendly- always super honest when I ask about certain food choice options. The vegan chocolate chip/walnut cookies are Amazing- they were just baked. Food comes very quick, and they always have seasonal choice options. Anyone could eat here vegan or not, I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Started heading here recently through a food order service. While the strong focus on vegetarian/vegan options may deter some, it ought not. Food is freshly and quickly prepared by friendly staff. The menu is consistently well-seasoned and creatively chosen by folks who know what they're doing with food. Standards like taco salads and burger substitutes are safe picks here, but I'm honestly impressed when something like their "Rustic Farm Bowl" puts pinto beans, quinoa, sweet potato, mushrooms, and broccoli pesto together. I typically hate quinoa, but everything is exceedingly well-cooked for a quick-service restaurant and this dish has quickly become one of my favorites for a healthy, fast lunch downtown.

  • 5/5 Mercedes B. 4 years ago on Google
Fast service and good alt. meat options. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich actually had a kick. Nothing crazy though. I feel like all vegan places could use more salt but that could be personal taste. A meal is a little pricey similar prices or more than say Handlebar and Native Foods. But for in the loop and near work, I'm excited to have this options.

  • 5/5 Paul Richard B. 4 years ago on Google
Stopped in here due to a Chase card offer and was blown away! The staff was super friendly and checked on me even though it’s more of a counter service fast food place. I had the B-Wing Salad since I’m a chicken wing aficionado. Wow! It tasted so much like chicken I had to check the menu to make sure it was vegetarian! This location was clean and pretty busy for a Tuesday night. $13 was a lot for just a salad, but comparable to other prices in this Loop area. Would definitely come again!
