WELL DONE IS BURNT. READ THE MENU. visited on a Tuesday & was not packed/busy This place is amazing for anyone with good taste in music. We decided to go to the original location for our first time going to any Kuma's Corner. When we walked in and we were greeted by host and we ended up sitting at the bar. Within five minutes of sitting down we were given menus, water, and had been asked if we ever visited the location before. The bar tender was more than helpful and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is exactly what you would think it to be knowing that it is a heavy metal themed restaurant. As for the food, we ended up getting three different appetizers. The pulled pork fries, cheese curds, and fried pickles. All three were equally delicious as the next. My partner had the Slayer burger and loved everything about it. From it's bed of fries to the bunless patty. I had March's burger of the month, Killswitch Engage. I thought I was going to be a fan of the cheeri dust but it worked well with the whole burger. I was able to enjoy a City Morgue drink (spirits). However the bar wasn't fully stocked so some drinks were unavailable during our visit. That was the only "bad" encounter. Absolutely delicious and such a great atmosphere. We loved every second of being here.

Ordered from kumas for the first time. Ordered 3 burgers and this is what I got! Charred meat. Dried unflavored hard meat!.. I had to cut it in half and try to scrap the burnt off the meat. I ended up throwing 80bucks in the trash. I called to complain and the manager said that’s exactly how they serve their well done burgers. I’m very sorry but that’s not well done that’s overly cooked and burnt! I will never again order from them again!

Our waitress was Brittany and she was very friendly. I was recommended this place by my Aunt because she totally knows my vibes, and this place was totally My vibe. I loved the atmosphere and the music. I had the Ace Pineapple Cider which was delicious. I had a custom Mac n Cheese and it was equally as delicious. They had a monthly rotating burger and mac n cheese which I also enjoyed. Their menu fit the atmosphere and had a lot of creative names for their food which is fun. A bit pricey but it is Chicago, so I'm sure that's typical. (I'm a Wisconsin gal)

Just amazing... I got the Metal massacre burger which has Habanero aoli, jalapenos, cherry peppers, pepper jack cheese, and ghost pepper seasoning... The food at Kuma's is always delicious. My girlfriend got the Mac of the month, hit the lights (awesome). Also, this month, on select burgers, Kuma's corner is donating money back to the national multiple scorses society. 🤗

Always enjoy coming here! They have the best and unique burgers in Chicago. Chef must be working overtime to create all the unique and fun burger combos. If you don’t like burgers they other options that are equally amazing! If you would like to create your own burger they offer you a myriad of options. If you don’t like heavy metal then you might be upset but give it a few songs and u might be hooked. They play a wide range of stuff but if you open your mind it may be a fun experience.

This place was a breath of fresh air for a metal head like myself. My girlfriend and I were in Chicago for the weekend and her aunt recommended this spot. The atmosphere was perfect. Metal music was playing over the speakers and the art and decor fit the vibe. I started with a margarita that was both delicious and effective. Food wise, we started off with the Buffalo chicken dip. It was a delicious appetizer that hit the spot. For my main event I got the "Plague Bringer" burger. VAMPIRES BEWARE. This burger was the perfect explosion of garlic flavor for a fan like me. My only complaint was I ordered it medium and it was a little more medium rare. Overall this place has the right feel, the right stuff and a craft beer list long enough to try something new everytime.

Felt right at home from the moment I walked in the door. Highly recommended stopping by if you're in Chicago, especially if you're into metal. The staff was friendly & fast and the burgers were well worth the price. Parking was easy enough, although I when earlier in the day. Suggest you plan accordingly going by other reviews. The only disappointment was the shirt I wanted was sold out in my size.

I loved this place, the burgers are amazing with great options and always expect the best from an out of the box combination of ingredients. The patty has a great size and is beautifully cooked. Let’s not forget their beer selection, as good as it gets from local breweries, both draft and bottled, I had a hazy IPA and the Bitter (can’t find a bitter man), out of this world. The staff was really great, can’t say enough about how helpful and kind they are. Even if you are not a metal head you should totally visit and enjoy. Finally, the prices are amazing in my opinion as you have amazing ingredients and service. I will totally return next time I’m in town.

We had the server Madi, and she was SO awesome and nice! I'd go back just to see her, she was so nice. The food was delicious, I highly recommend it. They have a burger and a Mac and cheese of the month, which are super cool options, and they have an awesome local artist do chalk art for each of them that just looks fantastic.

First time caller, long time listener. We were in the mood for Hamburgers and since I just moved two blocks away, there really was no excuse. Hands down - amazing burgers, both in portion and flavor. The beverage selection was on point as were the appetizers. Friendly staff, comfortable outdoor seating area. Very kid and dog friendly.

Believe the hype. I am sure Kuma's was doing just fine before Yelp, but the positive press brought me in the door and I was very satisfied. Great burger, crispy fries (to order!), outstanding service, and a good beer selection.

Good service, went during Friday lunch was able to get seated right away. Fried mac'n cheese - delicious Pull pork sandwich - very good Ordered with house salad, and came with a very generous portion.

Wonderful late lunch experience. The four of us were promptly seated at a table. Deep fried pickles were done perfectly. Ceasar salad and burgers were amazing with leftovers! Always love the fresh pretzel buns. Server was learning a new POS system but managed our order seamlessly. Original Kuma location is the best IMO.

First time visiting since 2016! It was so nice to be back. Excellent attentive service. We were a party of five, yet we still were checked on and had plenty of refills. The fried mac and cheese is delicious and easy to share. I got the Kuma's root beer which is absolutely delicious, I wish I could bring some home to NYC. I also ordered the Iron Maiden burger which came out exactly how I wanted it to. It comes with pepperjack, lettuce, onion and avocado on a pretzel bun. Highly recommend coming here during lunch hours to avoid long wait times.

Amazing burgers and solid beer selection. 10 oz burgers are more than filling. If you're looking for a cheap burger, this is not the place but you get what you pay for. Service is absolutely pleasant.

I have been to a Kuma’s Corner in Indianapolis, and since I was in the area, I thought why not? The caveat is I am not much of a red meat eater. So, this only happens on those occasions I crave a burger. And these are BURGERS! Big, messy, and delicious. There are other options, and I thought about doing the pulled pork, but when in Burger Rome, you do a burger. Note: For anyone who doesn’t my like heavy metal, it’s all they play. Get over it.

If you want a great burger this is the place to go. A great variety of burgers with unusual toppings. Their fries are also very good. If you go during an off-time you will not have to wait. They are playing heavy metal music. So if you're looking for conversation you might want to look somewhere else but if you're looking for a great burger this is your place.

Delicious drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The metal in the bar creates a badass atmosphere that mirrors their delicious burgers and food! Our server was knowledgeable, quick, and kind. This will definitely be a spot we come back to every time we are in Chicago!

Always awesome. I come to this, or the Downtown Loop, location every year with my boys when we attend C2E2. It's the best Burger, Beer, Banger Music, and B-Movie place in the world. Love the Kuma Original, with a fried egg, on a pretzel bun. Delicious. Will continue to make Kuma's Corner an annual tradition.

The burgers here are so insanely good I can not even describe it. Now, granted, a lot of their burgers have a lot of stuff on them, so if you're more the basic, wrapped in wax, no frills, burger type this may not be for you. However, if you're open to it, these burgers will make you VERY HAPPY. I have to be honest though, although I love love LOVE these burgers, I usually order our rather than eat inside because it is LOUD in there. I mean, I'm no hermit, I enjoy some music, but it is so loud you literally have to shout at your server and each other in order to communicate. If that's your thing though, hey more power to you!

This place is awesome! Metal music is constantly playing, so fair warning if that's not your style. Had the GWAR burger and it was great. The fries were also amazing. The food took a bit to get out, but we didn't mind because we were taking in the atmosphere. Definitely recommend going.

It was an excellent experience dining in at the original Kuma's Corner. Their food was as good as I had expected. The regular fries are alright, the sweet potato fries are the ones to get. The burgers we ordered were good, cooked exactly as we requested, and the vegetable toppings were fresh. The baked Mac and cheese was fine, I recall it being better at the Schaumburg location.. alas we can't all win everything every time. Portion sizes are hilariously large. No, the medium sized Mac does not serve only two. I will certainly skip appetizers next time unless I want to take leftovers back home.

Very good burgers! But the place is a bit noisy which could be fun if you expect it. Also, there is burger’s smoke all over the place

In November, you will find the unhealthiest turkey burger you ever did eat. Their seasonal burger of the month is called "Sleep" and that is exactly what you will do afterward. Embrace your inner metalhead and give this place a shot.

Metal themed burgers with the music cranked! Demolished the Deicide (burger of rhe month) with Porter ...awesome way to end a hump day \m/ \m/

This was my first time at the OG Kumas. I ordered cheese curds, broccoli and chicken mac & cheese, and the sourvein burger. Cheese curds were fried to perfection. The Mac and cheese melted in my mouth. The Sourvein was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the flavors mixed incredibly every bite. One of my favorite burger experiences in Chicago so far. I had the Double Marshmallow Cauallier (Stout - Imperial / Double) by Saint Errant Brewing as my beverage and enjoyed how smooth and rich it was.

Came here several years ago and I had a bad experience. I returned recently because my family wanted to go there, but I had forgotten the name of this place. As soon as I walked in I immediately remembered that experience and it has not changed. Left disappointed and my friend never got his shirt that he asked our waitress for. We watched her pass our table several times and after taking the time to explain all the sizes and shirt types she never came back with the shirt he wanted. WTH! We also wanted to add a macaroni cheese to our order and we asked another server passing by if we could and she said ya you know your waitress you can tell her. Obviously we have no issues with that, but you could have at least let her know that one of her tables wanted to see her since she was not around us at the time. Never ordered the Mac.. No the place was not full or super busy either. The food except for my burger came out cold. Cold fries, cold Chili.

I love the hard rock theme and the amazing burger selection! They also have a great selection of draft and canned beer. This burger was the Plague Bringer. I loved the flavor but it could use more sauce otherwise it feels dry.
