Small park but good for group gatherings.. Has a playground for kids, pools, two fields for baseball and a tennis court.. Besides the small hills you can play around and even slide or roll depending on the weather lol Good park in general..

I been coming here for many, many years and me and my family likes this park. We never liked that we're only allowed 45 minutes in the pool and then we have to get out to get in line for 15 minutes!!!!

Hale Park features a great playground. There is a single large structure with a variety of slides and climbing elements suitable for elementary school aged children (which is appropriate given that the site seems shared with the nearby Hale Elementary School). There is also a circle seat zip line and a few other standalone climbing and spinning elements. The non-play amenities and general setting are great. Hale Park is a large, open space with a modern fieldhouse. The playground has a play surface of wood chips and the nearby fieldhouse provides drinking fountains and access to bathrooms. All in all, this is a classic Chicago Park playground, an asset to the neighborhood, and a worthwhile destination. Hale Park also features a water spray area to the north of the playground; but this is separate from the main playground.

Nice playground equipment for a variety of ages. Swim pool & splash pool are great on hot summer days. Find out if campers are using it before going there. No public swim today until 1pm. Also, they do clear the pool every hour.

Beautiful park, quiet on weekdays or in the early morning or late evening. Tons of activity and friendly people on the weekend. Plenty of grassy areas, lots of benches and shade, a public pool, sports areas (for softball, etc). Grew up in this area & the park is as wonderful 45 years later as I remember it from childhood.

It's a good pool, although there are long lines to get in and it is not very big. The staff could be a lot nicer and helpful, instead of just sitting there. It is also often overcrowded and they will not allow any type of floaty inside.

Great park. Not many weirdos. Lots of family fun. Pretty safe. Tall stuff for big kids. Cute things for small kids. Some equipment is too tall for little ones. Can be dangerous without supervision. Wood chips floor. Sandals? no go.
