The food has been known to be excellent, but that was about 2 years ago. The quality has sadly been compromised. Entrees are inconsistent, some days there will be orange wedges in the $12 Kale salad, other days there won't. This is across the board and not what one should expect when you are paying PREMIUM prices for pre-packaged food to go. Good luck trying to share an opinion or give the owners feedback, they have NEVER returned my calls. I've tried reaching them 3x over the past 2 years. Now I NEVER go there and will not recommend the overpriced inconsistent food to anyone. Such a shame! :(

I appreciate more tasty vegan options in my city but twice now the packaging has said one price & I have been charged another. It's been only a couple of dollars difference but, at one point, the price had recently changed and I had just enough in cash and then not enough even though the label said the previous price. I pointed this out, especially when their credit card reader was down & the person working couldn't care less. This was for a gift for a friend that I had made a specific trip downtown for & was really embarrassing when other people in line ended up trying to offer me money when I was distraught about it. I sent an email to the company and literally got no response. The city makes it expensive for small businesses to survive & I get that but when you raise prices like that repeatedly without warning even on the packages and have zero empathy, people will just end up not seeing the benefit of supporting your independent business.

I m a big fan of raw food , and they have a great selections of superfood - unfortunately my experience was not that great , at least for the price that I paid. The pre package meal that I got was at least from the day before, ( I arrived early in the morning , anyway if they are open and if they charge premium price they should have fresh food and it wasn’t absolutely fresh ) also they should improve the packaging and the stand presentation to match the actual food to go standards. I ll definitely give them another chance

I consider a $25 lunch a splurge; however, the food is of very high quality, laboriously prepared, and in my opinion worth every penny! Each dish is unique, and raw or mostly raw (some sides, such as the couscous, is partially cooked/steamed), but most important: very well-seasoned and delicious. They usually offer samples of multiple menu items, even to repeat customers (it helps me decide what I'm in the mood to eat that day!) The desserts are especially delectable--I just love that they are made with very healthy ingredients, and not overly sweet.

Nice to find a completely plant-based vegan place that doesn't rely on fake meat options. Delicious and large portions but on the more expensive side. My kelp and seaweed based Pad Thai was amazing and came with a small desert but ran me $15. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting though. Other things to note: meals were premade and they didn't have every option on the menu out and couldn't make anything but smoothies on order. Staff was friendly and i would eat here again as a special treat. You pay more for real food these days....

Was super excited to try out this place since me and my boyfriend recently went vegan. We made the 40min trip to the store. Let me just say the customer service you receive there is amazing! The staff is friendly and gladly goes through any products you have questions on. Unfortunately they have missed the main point of the store. The food... We bought for $70 1 4pack of carrot raisin muffin, 2 tiramisu, 1 veggie rolls and 1 of their home made pesto. The carrot muffins were horrible...stale, hard and almost inedible. The tiramisu witch is usually my favorite dessert(before I went vegan) was nothing like tiramisu not even close...but was an okay dessert. Would not buy again though. The veggie rolls soggy, old, and the flavors did not complement each other. Don’t waste your money on those! The home made pesto sauce is amazing! 10/10! Overall I will not be returning to this store. I love the idea but is not executed well...at all. Over all their food is over priced and stale/old.

I've only been to the location on Huron, but I know the food is the same. I have to say, it's freaking amazing what they do with raw food. I've tried almost everything-- the raviolis are so cool, the sandwiches are pretty delish and even pretty filling. The one thing I just can't get down with was the chocolate desert cup thing, not sweet at all and in general pretty gross. This place is a little too expensive for daily lunching (a small fresh juice will run you $10), but it is a nice option for switching it up a little and feeling extra healthy.

Do not waste your time or money. Acai bowl has a Bland flavor and apparently "fresh fruit" is just strawberry, no other options. You are basically paying for just the container. This is their advertised "16 oz"

The milkshake was sorcery. 10/10 would order it again. The burger didn't disappoint either. Im not a vegan, but I do like how they give vegans the option to 'live it up' with the double-double.

Sadly, Everything is super processed, they use agave for everything, tons of salt, which means tons of sodium and tons of oils! Juices are not organic and the price is the same if not more than the fresh cold pressed juices you can find at other places being 100% organic.

Not worth the money. Tried the desert, not good and overpriced. Will be going to native more often.

The falafel sandwich was disgusting, even the sides were bad. I would rather go to native foods, because they know how to make healthy food delicious. Staff were friendly!

Unhelpful, unknowledgeable staff. Very unpalatable food. Tasty "Apple pie", though

Everything is unique and unlike anything else you would see somewhere else. There are a ton of plate options that include pastas, salads, and "grill" options. Watch out for their SLICE OF HEAVEN! It's amazing. Prices range $10 and up.

3 year vegan in our family. Happy with the flavors but some warning on the spicey food would’ve been nice. Made our pallet less happy the second half of the meal. The avocado/lemon squares made up for it but the apple crisp was way overpriced and way too big of a portion at that.

As a non-vegan/non-raw eater who was simply curious, I loved Chicago Raw. Nice people, lots of samples, and lots to sample. Would definitely recommend.

By far the best Sushi in the world for vegetarians. Only down side is you better be patient as lines are at least an hour long if not 2 on weekends....

We met with friends at this place for lunch. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. We recommend this place to all.

UM, 3 words: incredible, delicious and nurturing. Pumpkin pie? Yes. Ride the Tide? YEP. And the ginger-lemon elixir packs a punch. Thankful for real food.

Staff is awesome and the food was delicious as always. One of my favorites is the Lasagne. Such a pity that I don't live in Chicago. Whenever I'll be back in this city, this is the place I will visit for sure.

The Flying Falafel is a great place to go for a takeaway lunch or dinner. Very friendly staff and yummy (huge) all vegan menu. Would highly recommend!

Nothing here is cooked, all raw, but it must be processed in some way to achieve the look some of it has. While I enjoyed the raw food, the prices were not very enjoyable. It is very difficult to eat healthy with prices as high as they have here. It was very discouraging.

I define raw food as "food prepared from raw ingredients, without artificial or processed ingredients." And this market/restuaruant does not disappoint. The energy of the employees is well matched by the flavorful energy in the food. I walked away with a couple items more than planned, and a girl in the shop gave me 1/2 a bottle of almond milk to try! What a lovely first experience. Going back again today.

Some really interesting alternative offerings for RAW fanatics, and meat eaters alike. I especially recommend the turnip and cashew ravioli, and the zucchini pasta. Not a cheap spot though, so pack your wallet and expect to pay a lot more than would be typical for their portions.

My first time eating raw food & my mind is blown. I can only dream of possessing such amazing culinary muscles. One of those rare days where I def don't feel like I'm missing out bc I'm vegan.* Got the sample platter ($14; very filling) & it was a good pick. My first time having zucchini pasta & I'm a huge pasta fan, so I've been skeptical about carb-free pasta, but this was delish! The meatball & veggie burger were astounding. I have no idea what they put in it, but the texture & flavor is soo good! The most ingenious items was the ravioli, made with paper-thin turnips folded over cashew cheese. I can eat this everyday.

Something you rarely see at take-out places is the enthusiasm and outstanding customer service that I experienced. The food is amazing too- try the empanadas.

I was desperate for an Acai Bowl and referred to google for a recommendation. The bowl was minimal in its ingredients for the price and I was shocked to see agave as an ingredient. Agave is dangerously high in fructose which leads to degraded liver function, deep belly fat, and obesity among other issues. No health conscious establishment should use agave as a sweetener. Bananas in the base of acai is an economical and healthier option. My bowl had blueberries and kale in the base - not very tasty.

So good. Love coming here. Wish they had a location in bucktown or Whole Foods still carried it. It’s the only raw food left in Chicago and they do it really good!
