👍👍 We chose Chicago Greeter in 2012 and our greeter was Ayanna Lewis. I've traveled all over the world and 11 years later, I still fondly think about this experience. It was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences that I've ever had, and it was FREE!!! She took us ALL over the city and she was so... People often mention Chicago, city, tour, time, great, Greeter, experience, guide, history,

My greeter was Richard Prince and he completely changed the outcome of my trip to Chicago. He recommended ( by email before I arrived) that I stay close to downtown instead of where I had planned to stay which was not close to public transport or any major attractions. I am so glad I took his advice! He is an absolute treasure and a wealth of information about art, architecture, and the history of Chicago. What a wonderful experience!

We visited Chicago to meet my best friend and arranged a visit with Chicago Greeter for our first day. We were so lucky to meet Marie and get a chance to walk around Pilsen with her. She showed us beautiful murals in the neighborhood, explained it's history. And we all enjoyed a delicious taco lunch at 5 rabanitos. We had the best time and most certainly recommend this experience to anybody that visits the city.

What an incredible experience with Chicago Tour Greeter Stetson. Even though it was a misty cold May day, we walked over 6 miles learning more about this amazing historical city. We saw learned about and viewed sites we would never had seen or known on our own. What a wonderful volunteer service this city provides. We are grateful for this opportunity and highly recommend to all.

I had the great fortune to have Christine as my Greeter from Chicago Greeters. I had been to Chicago once before, but it was during a snow storm so I hadn't been able to enjoy. This time was fantastic, largely due in part to Christine. There's so much to do in Chicago but I only had a few days. With her extensive knowledge of the city she helped make the most of our time. Usually when you visit a City you might walk around and notice a building or two and wonder about it. Christine not only guided us on the walk she pointed out characteristics of the buildings and when available, walked us in, and pointed out fascinating features. It was great! I've learned so much about the history and architecture of Chicago that I see why people love it so much. Thanks to Christine I was able to traverse the city with ease and enjoy it.

I had a great experience today with Chicago Greeter. I asked for a volunteer guide to show us a little bit about downtown. They sent Mrs Nancy Whichlock. She is an adorable native Chicagoan, who loves to share her knowledge about this incredible city. This was my second time in town and I was surprised how she was able to describe the city to us. It was an amazing day, and I strongly recommend to all interested to discover Chicago in a different way.

Yesterday we had a great day with a great Greeter. Richard plan for us a personalized tour between differents parts of the city based on the parts of what we hadn't seen yet and going deeper into some essential must-see at downtown. He was flexible with the meeting point, really friendly, so funny and passionate about Chicago. He told us a lot of interesting facts about the city that we would never have discovered by ourselves, encourage us to ask questions and provide advice about what to do or where to eat in the different neighborhoods. We are gratefull to have meet Richard.

Great experience. Great tour covered many outlying areas and used public transportation. Volunteers, no cost.

James Baird was our tour guide, the tour is by far the best tour I have had of any city. His knowledge of Chicago’s architecture and history, his friendly yet professional attitude made our tour perfect. Any questions we asked, he had the answer. We visited gorgeous places, this tour made us fall in love with the city. He is an excellent Chicago ambassador.

Lowell was our Chicago Greeter. He was such a wonderful tour guide & a wealth of information. He changed our tour as the time went by. We have 2 teenage daughters and he really was great giving us something that interested us all. We saw so much & had such a great time. I recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago.

Our guide, Jack Cunneen, was very knowledgeable and highly entertaining. He went to the effort of working out a wonderful tour that catered to our interests. He had great stories about the city's history, architecture, politics and society. We barely even noticed the time as if flew by. We highly recommend this tour!

Nathan is a super friendly guide that went above and beyond to answer all my questions (sorry!) from everything to the history to the most controversial and exciting architectural gems in the city. He lived and worked in the City, and his insider knowledge to the goings on of the city is very interesting and much appreciated! Thank you for making a free one+ hour tour the highlight of my trip!

We did a tour with Judith and David and it was simply AMAZING! They know a lot about the city and the buildings. We get into such special spaces arround the loop that it would have been impossible to discover without their help. I am really glad that the greeters gave us that opportunity.

👍👍 This tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Kai was very accommodating and made sure we could hear all the history she had to share for us as well as give us some time to take photos and admire everything she was showing us. While the weather was not the best, it was still a tour I'll never for...

👍👍 Tour could have been a little longer. I say that only because there is so much Chicago Mob history to cover, and it had to be crammed in an hour and half tour.. With that being said, I still do recommend this tour! Michael was funny and very knowledgeable. **Tip.. Pay attention, because there is so...

👍👍 Took the Chicago Chinatown food and cultural tour. Our guide, Jeff, was awesome. He was kind and helpful, checking on the participants to ensure everyone was doing well. Jeff knows the history of Chinatown and the culture of the area so he didn't need notes as he gave us color about each stop....

🫤 Well the tour was over by 4:00 and it was supposed to be over at 5:00. We didn’t see much, just up the shore line, not the stuff listed on the website. Not worth the money. There’s a deal, but only if you pay cash and the website doesn’t clearly portray that…we won’t do it again with this place. Gui...
