This beach is great, it’s never overly crowded and they have lockers you can use. I would always swim for the Ironman here and it was super easy to use the locker and jump into the lake for a swim

It's great to find a beach besides the skyscrapers. It was small but cleaner and an relief for my eyes, wished if we were in summer days.

Nice little beach on Lake Michigan with great views of the skyscrapers. We always stop by here when visiting Navy Pier. The water here is very clear. The lakeside walk is beautiful!

The sand area and water is clean and the view is breathtaking! Family friendly and there are lockers to safeguard your valuables just make sure you get your own locks. Get here early during the weekend and enjoy the sun!!

I just love coming to this beach. It’s absolutely beautiful here. On my last visit I found lots of seaweed that had washed up.

Beautiful small beach with great summer time activities

Enjoyed myself with my family. The water is clear with little fish swimming about. There is a restaurant here with good food and of course drinks. I would say bring your own umbrella and chairs if you don’t want to pay too much for shading and comfort. Very relaxing time. Didn’t want it to end.

This is a great beach! I was surprised to be honest how nice and not busy this beach right next to navy pier is. Being northward facing the waves aren’t too bad so it’s a great beach for kids too.

A nice small beach. Swimming allowed only when lifeguard is on duty. However, a perfect spot to take photos.

Right a long navy pier and the lake side walking/running/cycling trail. Not as crowded as North Avenue Beach or Montrose Beach. Also really close to the Chicago river and river walk. Parking is done at the navy pier parking lot, otherwise you'll have to find parking in the city and make the walk.

Okay place to swim in the water along Du Sable Lakeshore Drive. There are 1/4 mile and half mile markers. Plenty of very small lockers to lock up your items. Locker area is not clean and the beach and shore is not clean as well. Beach is small and VERY crowed on weekends. Swimmers should avoid being in the water after 10am due to boat exhaust pollution since many boats congregate off the beach. The only "legal" place where one can do swimming training on the Northside. No bathrooms. Closest ones are at Navy Pier.
