Such a beautiful park and beach area. The views are beautiful as well as the different areas to walk. The pier off to the side of the beach has a great photo spot and breathtaking views.

I have come here a number of times this summer and went again yesterday to have some "me" time. Always love this side of Lake Shore because it is closer to the Suburbs so we don't have to drive so far to get a taste of Chicago's lake front! It's always quiet and serene. Even on holidays it's less people than the beach fronts in the city!

A nice park! Always people walking around or playing. Always somewhere to park. Great to just sit in your car, go for a stroll on the path, sit and look at the water without getting sandy or wet, or even to hang on the beach and get in the lake. Good hammock trees Something here for everyone! Great fruit stand too, i think run by local people.

Grew up going here, it's not the cleanest beach around but they have food trucks and a park across the street. There are 2 beaches, one small and one large here. The small one you can jump off of the rocks into the lake

Loved this beach! It was so peaceful and the water was a tad bit cold but the sand in between my toes made the experience worthy.

I grew up on this beach, played football and baseball in Cal park. used the field house to dress for football games. The early 80s that rocket slide was the greatest slide ever devised. I went thru in 2014 for some pictures with my family and the stone pier that I learned to swim from as my brother pushed me in made for photos that bring me back to a great time. 99th street ave O was as close as you can live to the beach in that city. I should note the 20 minutes I was at the beach for pictures I had 3 cops and 2 detectives stop, run my plates, check us out and drive on. hahaha

😐 You can park for as little as $2 for 1 hour. While I came here to see The Secret Mermaid, I was disturbed by the amount of trash, plastic, and glass on the beach. There are trash cans and recycling containers every 50 feet but trash everywhere. I started to pick up trash to keep it from going into...
