Don't get your dog groomed here. My Bonnie gets groomed regularly and we've never seen her hanging from the harness like that. Why is she being choked? Of course she's acting up, she's uncomfortable. And why is the groomer speaking to her like that? She was so loud a crowd started forming to see what was going on. This person needs to work the register not with animals. I did receive a full refund but my Bonnie is not the same.

I'm 100% sure they damaged my dogs tail while being groomed! Not only that, the back trim was horrible NEVER AGAIN! His tail won't even wag anymore. It stays just like you see it.

Found a tortoise for my daughter after checking multiple locations. Wyatt was very helpful in making sure that I got him the proper items to live a happy life. She made sure that I got deals as well. I saved $60 and she price matched one of the items before even being asked.

My cat has been indoor his whole life. Never had a flea or anything like that. We had a special shampoo for fleas and a flea collar to prevent any further contamination. But the both times that I went to get him his vaccines at this shop, HE HAD FLEAS!!!!! I noticed them right away and took them all off (atleast the ones that I was able to see). They are not careful with the contamination of fleas. They hold your pet in their arms and put them against their chest (which may seem nice) but they are spreading fleas this way! My poor kitten has never had fleas in his life and the moment I take him to this vet, he comes home with multiple adult fleas.

The store had the terrarium items we were seeking and took the time to find one of the items for us. The staff seemed knowledgeable and was very friendly to the humans and animals that we saw in the store. Free parking is also a plus!

When I walked in the store the girl at the front register on the Roosevelt side never spoke. I stood there fumbling with my shoelace to see if she would greet me and she didn't and I almost left. If I wasn't on the bus I would've left and went to the North Riverside location. You see my cat prefer Petco over PetSmart. The food she likes is at Petco and I like the brand as well as the care Petco has for our furbabies. But during these COVID times I don't have time for buffoonery, this is my money and I CHOOSE where to spend it. Petco as a brand has always been my choice I have been a customer since April 1999 / 2000 and I don't want to change but I prefer not to frequent the Roosevelt location.

Took my kody to get groomed the customer service was terrible. The groomer refused to groom Kody because I’m black and he was matted then went to take other customers before me and also went back and forth with me like she was right about what she did. I do not recommend you guys taking your furry friends there they have no care in their hearts for pets !

Very helpful employees. They were wonderful, they helped me carry a very heavy aquarium and get it into my car. The parking situation isn't good. It's a paid parking lot that you need to validate. If you forget the validation, you have to pay to get out or hold up everyone trying to get out of the one exit. It's a small store with not a lot of pet supplies, especially for fish.

Don't bring your dog to be groomed here. They hacked the inside of my dog's ears to bits. Left with bleeding and oozing sores. I only chose to get my dog groomed here because I was desperate. I have only ever received GLOWING reviews from groomers about my dog's behavior and when I pick her up she is usually still her happy go lucky self. When I picked her up from this groom, she was in an agitated state. She didn't act like herself for 24 hours. ALSO - the cut was so unbelievably uneven. I had to trim stray hairs everywhere. There was an entire strip on her backside that was missed. The woman who did this cut has no business grooming animals, or coming anywhere hear them.

I only take my family pets, Cat and a Dog, to Petco on Roosevelt Rd. in Chicago because our groomer, Mylissa, is the absolute best groomer ever. I have taken our pets to other places, but the staff are not always friendly or caring. Mylissa is always courteous, friendly, helpful and just overall amazing for she treats our pets like family. Thank you for all that you do Mylissa.

Please Please Please do not take your animals here. Tracy R and line- back Mylessa are the epitome of rude, unprofessional and disrespectful women . I had my dog appointment today and they refuse to groom him. I told Tracy, can you please be careful with his back leg because he had a fractured and he has a limp. Mind you the fractured happened with he was a baby, which was two years ago. Since then my dog has been coming here and line back Mylessa has always groomed him. They refused to groomed my dog and when I asked to speak to line back Mylessa, she refused to come out to talk to me. I went to complain to the store manager Sam( very nice guy). However, these two ladies has showed the worst customer services ever and I have already filed my complaint. I’m not stopping until these two ladies are removed from the store.

If you have a little dog do not take them to this groomer. The groomers will botch your pup. They made me pay with Zelle. If you want a decent job honestly you should go somewhere else.

Clean and organized

This review is for the groomer Cynthia. There are so many examples of how they offered poor service to humans, but the worst part was how they treated my dogs. Without asking me any questions about my dogs at all, she put a slip collar around their neck. Company policy mandates the use of a slip collar, but Cynthia refused to move even a step when my dog tried to move away from her. This resulted in my dog coughing. When I voiced my concern to Cynthia, she only said “they’ll be fine” and didn’t move one step to alleviate the strain on my dog’s neck. I voiced my concern to a manager who said they understood and would “coach” the groomer. When picking up my dog, Cynthia wouldn’t look or speak to me. My dogs hair was cleaner, but not shorter. I honestly am not sure she even cut my dog’s hair. The other worker handed me my dog, we both waited to see if Cynthia would speak. She didn’t. I almost ran out of that location. If you visit this location for grooming do not trust Cynthia with your dog. I would never visit this location for grooming services with Cynthia on staff.

This place is just another Petco. For people living in the loops is convenient. As a heads up the front entrances is on the back of the building, meaning if you are going by car it's better to park on the back instead of the street in front. Make sure to ask the people at the store to validate your ticket, so you don't get full charge for parking. Also, keep in mind that the cashiers are in the back of the store and not in the front.

Staff were so polite, helpful, and attentive. The associate that helped me find wet kitten food was so nice and made my experience extremely enjoyable. The cashier was also very accommodating and a joy. Although they are quite pricey I appreciate their brand being available for a very reasonable price and better yet they're grain-free. The store itself was clean and easy to navigate.

I wish I could leave 0 stars if I could. To begin with, the wait time is ridiculou. They for my dog’s nail buffing and never did it. They did not do any grooming but still charged haircut for my dog! I was surprised that they groomed my golden retriever in under 2 hours. Avoid their grooming if you can, the manager and staff are rude and inpatient, absolutely the worst grooming experience I had in all Petco grooming!

Did a great job bathing & trimming my mini Bernedoodle. Personnel really love dogs and Joey loved them right back.

I felt comfortable when I first brought my baby there everybody was so nice and obviously love's pets will recommend to others 😉

Picked up a 55gal tank ordered online Had to tell the sales person to get a flat bed to load it and I helped put it in my truck. Just lack of common sense.

The parking in back isn't always open, and often times the items I need are out of stock. Staff could also be more present and helpful.

This particular location is one of the better ones. Melissa is a good and caring groomer for our dog. Oscar is an attentive manager that responds well to customers. It's still corporate so don't expect exceptional service.

Petco was a good experience. Many people in the store with their pets. The staff was very friendly and helpful and had a decent section for cats. I was quite surprised that their prices were comparable to the Big Box Stores and a lot of healthy options. Glad they have this location with free parking in the back of the store. Lots of metered parking in the front of the store.

Simple don’t book with Tracey you’ll definitely waste your time. She lacks confidence and is very unprofessional. I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking.

Petco is so amazing, everyone always willing to help you. They even had hairless guinea pigs so cute.

AVOID ALL DOG GROOMING HERE. I frequently travel and have never had such a bad grooming experience. My Great Dane went in for a basic brush and bath, they charges an extra 8$ for bringing my own shampoo, she came out soaking wet and was not even brushed. Her nails were BUTCHERED. My poor girl, I feel so guilty bringing her here God knows what they did to her. The grooming manager was lazy and lying down on the grooming table on her phone, drinking to tend to us. Very bad experience here I highly recommend avoiding this place!

They have cute little guinea pigs that look like miniature hippos! So freaking cute. Great store.

A nice place to go to get your pets and pets supplies but the customer service is a little slow. Its took 15 to 20 minutes for some one to assist me about the fishes I was interested in.

The Manager Marcus incited crowd to hostility and put me and passenger in dangerous situated that warranted the police intervention. The police agreed that the blocking car was in the wrong and was immediately moved and cited for blocking traffic. I felt threatened by Marcus and his actions.

Petco is one of the best places to shop for your fur babies! My mother in law and I found the cutest sweaters for her little dog and a little lion's maine costume 🤣🦁🐶

Terrible haircut and even worse customer service. The groomer made my female Labradoodle puppy look like a boy! She even put a blue bandana around her neck! I removed it and asked why she would do that and she said she couldn't get the bows in her hair. In addition to trying to re-assign her gender, she also tried to over charge me. She said I booked additional services even though my email confirmation showed I only booked a bath and trim. She then said I had to pay $75 instead of the $45 I booked. The manager didn't help matters, in fact he tried to collect the higher charge rather than listen to me, the customer. Stay away from this Petco. They have no idea what they're doing. Cynthia G turned my beautiful Labradoodle into a mangy looking mutt. Petco has lost my business.

The manager wouldn’t let me use the washroom, even though I begged him and said it was an emergency. I had to go to a store next door, then come back to buy food for my pets. Later, when I said that a store that big ought to have a washroom for the customers, the cashier said their store was not that big.

I had appointment to have my mini golden doodle groomed and the young ladies who work here totally lack customer service skills. The worst attitudes , I refuse to leave my pet here with them .
