Went here after my cat was seen at the vet several blocks away. Thought Lark deserved a treat. I was blown away by the variety of cat toys!! Some I hadn't even seen before. I bought a cute ball designed of cardboard, a favorite material with my 6 cats. Their prices were decent, too! Staff was friendly.

Staff super helpful. A little bit of everything here. The staff will probably give your dog a treat. Good options for food for our dog. Lots of size options. Also there was a cat on the counter that my daughter played with for some time. Maybe a bit pricey, but that speaks more to the neighborhood IMO.

I felt insulted when i entered the stored the workers had their eyes on me, one even followed me, i was just browsing the new store but they thought i was gonna steel something. Just plain discrimination most likely cause im hispanic and not the regular caucasian(white) person they probably thought i couldn't possibly afford anything there. I bought some things paying over $37 which changed their attitude, so the employees clearly judged on appearances and have prejudice.

Great new location. Excellent, friendly, well informed and helpful staff. This store is organized around the health and well being of pets and their owners.

I didn’t know this shop sells cat stuff, but I went in to see since I was out, and they do! It’s actually a great place for cat stuff! They have A LOT of great treats, toys, food, supplements, carriers, pet beds, and some other pet standard items for a pet store for cats. It is high quality stuff, so it can seem pricey, but I feel like it’s actually a fine price point for the quality and the service is above and beyond!

Employees are amazing knowledgeable cool people caster robin and that franko guy are super cool and they were all helpful im glad i stopped here my pets are going to be much healthier with my new found knowledge!

Small, independent pet store with great products and service.

I am a pet sitter and this is the store I get some of the best kitty and doggie toys. They are open until 8, which is great for CTA commuters. Last time I was here, I needed a toy for some kittens that were very skittish. The floor person helped me find a great wand toy that was safe and joyful for these fur babies. I also love their store cat. Very nice to customers. I don't like walking into big stores cause I can never get any help, so this is the place for special attention to your pets.

Went to Ruff Haus when we got a puppy a few weeks ago to pick up some toys and treats. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They helped me pick out some treats for training, chew toys and stuffed animals. They have a great variety of antlers, "no-hides", pig ears etc. Also a great place for collars, leashes and other stuff. They also have a section for cats, which is great!

I went in with my newly adopted pup and they were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

It's a cool pet store that used to be on Rockwell Ave, in Chicago. Now moved to their new location which used to be a Payless Shoe Store. This is a nice spot in Lincoln Square with other business. I was checking on a couple of brands that they do carry. Before I buy I need to checkout 2 other stores that carry this brand. But it's made me feel happy coming inside and see what they carry. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable on what they carry. Oh, wear a mask. They had hand sanitizer in the doorway coming in.

The staff at Ruff Haus Pets are more than knowledgeable about all the healthy products sold to feed pets, and make them happy! The staff are attentive and proactive, and I have first hand experience in that I left my credit card in the store, but before my transaction was completed the Sales Representative offered to enroll me into the Ruff Haus Pets loyalty program, and the best part is the individual, (Juan Enrique) demonstrated the highest level of professionalism by taking the time to communicate via email to me that I innocently left my debit card in the store, and that is was safely stowed away for me to pick up at my convenience. The world needs more professionals like Juan Enrique!

We are really lucky to have Ruff Haus in Lincoln Square. The selection is fairly small compared to chains, but there is enough variety that everyone will be satisfied. They've got the only cat litter I trust to handle my cat's (now cured) gastrointestinal issues - World's Greatest Cat Litter. The best part about Ruff Haus is the staff. They're super friendly and genuinely love animals. Edit: I ran out of prescription digestive food for my cat and the staff member I spoke to was so knowledgeable about food options. I purchased some of the high-quality food that they carry and my cat's digestion has been great.

Staff are always friendly and helpful at Ruff Haus! We often stop by to pick up a bag of treats or some bones, and we always have a positive experience. Stuff is a little more expensive than some other small pet stores around (Barks N’ Rec, for example), but they have a large selection and a lot of specialty items.

Great locally owned pet store!

Ruff Haus is a community gem, and even though I moved further away from Lincoln Square this year, I still make it a point to visit as often as I can. They have wonderful community events, including a Halloween party/fundraiser/photoshoot. Any time the Square has a festival, they set up shop and participate. If you're ever looking for a great gift idea, they curate monthly themed boxes for dogs and cats. My favorite Ruff Haus memory is last from last Christmas. My partner and I have two dogs, and I was looking for two matching toys to give them. The younger one is a mechanical genius and will find any weakness in a toy, so I needed something very specific- multiple squeakers, but smooth with no tuggable details like eyes. I found a giant candy cane that was perfect. One was in a bin, but the only other one they had was on display hanging from fishing line in the window. They literally cut it out of their holiday decor to sell it to me, and I'm still thankful a year later. I hope Ruff Haus stays open forever!

Wide selection of pet products in a compact store. Staff were very friendly to my puppy and offered a treat to her after asking for permission. They have almost everything you need for your animal companion as well as some brands of treats that I didn't knew existed. A bit pricer compared to the other pet supply franchises but I believe they deserve the support.

I absolutely adore this shop and my dog will get so excited and sprint here when I ask him if he wants to go to the dog store. There is a really great inventory of products and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. This store is one of my favorite parts of living in this neighborhood.

Staff is very friendly and they have a nice variety of more upscale pet food. However, they have a terrible way of pricing things, for example, the cans of dog food. They have a table with the different prices, but sometimes I get surprised when checking out and the price does not seem to match what I read. I often feel lead on. I wish they had a more efficient way to price things. Because of this, I don't shop there that often. Really annoying.

It's so great having this place in Lincoln Square. This is pretty much the only brick and mortar pet store I go to now for my dog. The staff is extremely friendly and every time I go in there, someone is always asking if I need help. More recently, I was trying to figure out which frozen raw dog food to purchase and the staff helped me make a decision based on price per pound and quality of food. They have a TON of freeze dried treats and HEALTHY bones, not the bad quality rawhides. Highly recommend this place!

Ruff Haus is my go-to pet store for food and toys. I have been shopping at Rich's place for years, it is a fantastic store with thoughtful choices with very high quality food and many thoughtfully curated pet products. If you have a pet it's absolutely worth it to stop in and do a little shopping at Ruff Haus. The staff are really friendly and I love the house cats Spot and Cisco (I'm a Cisco person--some of you will know what that means). I recently moved a little further east, but I will still always go out of my way to shop at Ruff Haus. Totally worth the trip!

This neighborhood shop has top-notch service and quality products. Years ago, one of our dogs was on her last legs and had stopped eating. I picked out a few cans at Ruff Haus and told the clerk about it. She *gave* me a bag of freeze-dried meat. Our dog wasn't interested in the canned food, but she loved what the clerk gave me (it was her last meal). I can't imagine that happening at a chain store. By the way, they also sell paw-safe salt in the winter.
