Rouf died on 8 April 1971 at Burighat in Chittagong Hill Tracts after causing extensive damage to the Pakistani Army with his machine gun and forcing them to retreat. He was buried at Naniarchor Upazila in Rangamati District. Munshi Abdur Rouf ( 8 May 1943 – 08 April 1971) was a Lance Nayek in the East Pakistan Rifles during the Bangladesh Liberation War.He enlisted in the East Pakistan Rifles on 8 May 1963, and was attached with a regular infantry unit during the War of Liberation.

nice little place for quick tea break. maybe grab some little snacks on the go like a handful of peanuts. you can shop for groceries or vegitables. i dont recommand the fish market. maybe if you are in a very tight budget.

This is a very nice place for the travelers.this is the place which symbolizes the memories of the martyr lense Nayak munshi abdur rob.he is known as one of the 7 great bravos ( bir srestho) of the liberation war of Bangladesh.he was a very brave soldier during the liberation war of Bangladesh.He was so brave and Patriot that he gave his life for the liberation war of Bangladesh.the people of Bangladesh still didn't forget his name for his work.

Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf memorial structure. A great place near manikchari, rangamati. On the way of rangamati, you can spend some time here and enjoy the scenic beauty. The name of the sculpture is AROKSI (আরক্ষী). Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf sacrifice his life for Bangladesh in 1971.
