There are four forest beats in the parks namely Kolatoli, Chainda, Jhilongja and Link Road.The place is visited mostly for the famous broken hills and Row of christmas trees. There are 4000 people living inside the National park area. They are mostly migrants and are involved in fishing and cultivation for their livelihood. The loss of tree diversity and population is due to encroachment for cultivation, invasion of weed species, grazing of cattle, collection of minor forest produces and fuel wood, fire hazard, expansion of network of roads and other infrastructure projects.

It was a 20 minutes hike to get on top of the national park so many stairs. If you’re wearing sandals like I did, you’ll have to remove them and walk with barefoot. But the hike is worth the view of the beach/ocean. Definitely keep a water bottle. The small water fall was not 10/10 but rather 4/10. There’s better water falls in the country than this one. It’s a little overcrowded specially during COVID. But definitely a beautiful hidden gem of Cox’s Bazar.
