Modern art museum

👍👍 Quirky two-floor art museum down a side street. Great that the ticket entry goes back into supporting this collective of creators. Plenty of staff on hand to tell the story behind each piece. Definitely recommend for something unusual on your travels. People often mention museum, experience, staff, time, interactive, great, unique, recommend, Cluj, visit,

The coolest museum in Cluj, and one of the coolest I've ever been to. It is interactive, and you are guided with the most interesting stories about every item. You can speak with one of the creators of all of cool stuff himself. You should definitely visit, on the second floor is a secret surprise which is waiting for you! Remember! Reality is an illusion, universe is a hologram, buy gold! Byeeee! 🔺

Very nice and immersive museum. There are many objects on display and the variety is just insane! Although the place is relatively small, you can find so many interesting objects there. They also give discounts for larger groups (35 lei is the entrance fee for 10+ people)

This place is wonderful. Very interactive and stunningly creative. Such cool and inventive things to see. The staff was also great. I took so many pictures, but you'll have to see it yourself.

They say this museum is unique in Romania, and they are absolutely right. All through it is a small museum, you can expect to spend a few hours inside. You can can interact with the items, play the piano, play a retro Mario game, take selfies through distorting lenses and best of all, hear the sory of steampunk in as much or little detail as you'd like. You can even travel back or forward in time here (some imagination required). That's all I'll say, this place holds many unique experiences that would be more fun discovered than read about.

Weird and beyond interesting. Let your imagination go wild in this unique place. No limits - just let it run free. And make sure you discover the secret door!

Even if you are just passing by, I highly recommend this place! It has interactive artwork made by a local artist (and others) and a story to tell. Very creative, the staff is nice and dedicated and it was all together a unique experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely stunning museum! We saw nothing like that before. You literally come to a ferry tale where you see magical ferries, dragons and dwarves. We planned to spend there an hour but actually stayed much longer. The staff is amazing and add to the magical environment. RECOMMENDED!!!

This was easily my favourite stop of all in Cluj. It was very funky, very, very cool and the people who works there are so engaged and really gives you a wonderful time. The visit takes between 1-1.5h, depending on how much extra you want to see, the tickets are affordable and, as mentioned, people who work there were great! We will definitely come back, and take our friends there as well!

Great museum, ran by an enthusiastic group of jung people who love sci-fi. The amount of details and the experience can not be captured. It was great to visit.

Very artistic museum. My kids enjoyed it. Something a little different. It’s just a little too small. Another floor or two would really give it the size it needs to be for a more full experience.

We liked the steampunk experience. This is a small museum (two floors and 5-6 rooms) but the staff are nice and the exhibits are cool, especially for children. Our kids liked it and it was an opportunity for them to learn about the aesthetic but also classic science fiction and storytelling. Id recommend it for families who spend more than a day in Cluj.

A nice, interactive museum in the city. It was interesting to be able to touch the objects, as obviously this is not a common practice for museums. The staff is friendly and very eager to give details and show people how some of the exponents work. We had a great time.

This place is a must-see for everybody who appreciates art and out-of-the-box thinking. Not only did all the nicely presented objects demonstrate a fascinating attention to detail and amazing creativity and craftsmanship -- the stories that the very friendly team told us were also inspiring and captivating. At times it felt like I was in the series "Warehouse 13". :) Dear Steampunk Transylvania team, thank you very much for allowing us to immerse ourselves in another, carefree world. Keep up the great work.

It’s a specific museum, it’s definitely not for everyone. But if your are interested in steampunk, like model mechanics or are into more goofy stuff, go here. Staff is super friendly, and you can choose to do a guided tour or explore by yourself. That being said, at 45 Lei per pax, some people who aren’t sure if they like it, might skip.

The museum itself is Not to big and you will finish it in around an hour. The staff are very nice and the whole vibe is super cool! Don’t forget to check out the secret room upstairs

Cool little museum, small but takes an hour or so to get around. Staff are helpful and friendly. If you have a spare hour in Cluj, I'd recommend it.

Wanted to go since it opened as I found appealing the idea and the Steampunk genre all together. Since you step in and until you leave the place, everywhere your eyes fall you have something amazing to see. The fact that some stuff are interactive it is awesome. We'll have to visit again and see what we missed this time and what new items they will add to their collection. I just regret that I didn't go sooner to visit them.

If you’re in Cluj, I would highly recommend visiting this place which is the only one of its kind in Europe! There were several young ladies that walked us through the museum and helped explain some of the unique and interactive displays, which made the experience that much more memorable. The museum is super unique and has lots of items that are hands-on, kinetic and totally interactive. It’s certainly a place like none I’ve visited before and made for a fantastic experience. My words do not do the Steampunk Museum justice, it is something you really have to see, hear, feel and enjoy for yourself. You will thank me later 👍🏼

Very unique place and experience. Exhibits handcrafted out of unusual objects by very talented minds. If you come to Cluj even just for one day, you definitely must visit Steampunk Transylvania and be sure you will not regret it. And a plus for the staff, very smart kids and very good speakers.

If you are a Jules Verne fan you will love it. I went there with my daughter and we had a wonderfull time. There is a lot of beautiful art to admire. Don't forget to bring with your imagination when entering the Steampunk Transylvania museum. You also need to find the time machine first, before you get to ride in it 😀
