After visiting this place I can say that I am surprised by the owners' initiative and idea. As far as I understand, the whole concept is based on paying for the time you spend in the coffee shop instead of paying for the products. The only downside is that there is no publicity about this place being made and it is really easy to miss it while walking down th street unless you're looking for it.

Scout House is a really bright and quiet place with an amazing view over the city, designed with lots of love and passion by the Scouts in Cluj. Scout House isn't your usual café, but an anti-café where time is highly valued (roughly 1€/hour 😀) which makes the place perfect for those who want to spend it qualitatively. Whether you're looking for somewhere to study or manage your business, this location will provide you with anything you might need, from tea and coffee to creativity and inspiration, as well as high-speed internet and a printer. Last but not least, the place is extremely versatile, making it ideal for both going out with friends to play some boardgames and holding a lecture with your colleagues. It is also worth checking their Facebook page for the various events held there weekly. 😉

A cozy place made with recycled materials. The staff is friendly and helping and the place has a marvelous sight over the center of Cluj. Perfect for nomads and remote workers!

Hands down the best place to study / work on any project ! It is just what every university library should be but is not ... Great for studying alone , with comfortable seats , lots of sockets for your laptop and phone , and really good coffee (with real milk and all ...) ... And just outstanding for any study group or team project , because you can actually talk to people , but the place is not noisy like a normal.caffe , as most people around are also there to work or study. This is THE place for someone who wants to be productive but also comfortable... And does have a great view :D

A very warm place with cool people. I feel like home. They have a lot of games and good music. I didn't taste such fine tea anywhere else in Cluj.

Very friendly environment and very cheap too. The so-called tables are wobbly, I spilled my tea. Cups were pretty bad too. The Internet speed is better than an average cafe, but not like at your home or an office. Also can be a loud if you're used to the library.

The first anti-cafe in Cluj-Napoca. Nice and cosy place if you want to work in peace.

The guys are friendly and you have all the silence and focus you need. Super location, but furnishing and everything else was quite basic. I hope they bring in comfier chairs - worth paying more for that.
