Went to see Romeo and Juliet. The experience was unpleasant. Very crowded space in the pandemic with no air conditioning. On top of that they used steam mist to create a bath/poolside and was not able to breathe. Not able too see the translation screen too. By the way the play has nothing to do with Shakespeare. The text is very strange with lines like" everyone will die in two hours".Very crowded I feel I have been in a can of sardines. I have left after 10minutes. Could not bear to stay longer. Wondering how Tompa Gabor agree to have such a disgrace on the theater.

I really love this theater - every time I get to be in Cluj, I try to visit it. All the performances I've seen so far, were spectacular. Very talented trouppe, I'd like to mention actors Viola Gabor, Imre Eva, Balazs Bodolai and Petho Aniko. Rosmersholm performance was one of a kind.

Small but debonair location not far from the city center, just a few steps away from the central park. Attended an impressive theater play that allowed me to express my thoughts regarding an ungarian play in a romanian town(with a respectable hungarian community). At the begining i must admit i was shocked, as when i booked the tickets online the title and the description of the play where in romanian language, as well as the comericial spot on the national television advertising the event. As the play started and the subtitles fallowed up late i was considering making a scene(knowing we are in a theater hall),luckly the act was subtitled in romanian and english language. Only remark would be it's a bit frustrating and painful as they postit somewhere on the top of the stage really high making it difficult to watch the play and read the subtitle. Besides that all was beyond superlative. Attentive stuff, bar opend during break, nice temperature inside, and a 10 star performance. ********** Congrats.

They have an outstanding team and are performing some really amazing plays. I've seen almost their entire repertoire in the last three years, and with each premiere, I feel overwhelmed with joy. I would say it is the most exquisite cultural institution from Cluj Napoca. Their Interference Festival brings the creme de la creme from Europe (and not only). Must see their performances.

However, the entire place desperately needs a renovation, everything is worn out. The most annoying for me is the lack of ventilation, in a half an hour the air got unpleasant, hard to breath. No chance to enjoy whatever is on the stage. I'm in an very good physical shape, it wasn't me.

Extraordinary theater pieces are played here all the time and quite frequently. Anyone who is visiting Cluj should go if they have time. Tickets are fairly inexpensive. All plays are subtitled in English and Romanian.

Very good quality in everything. I went to this theatre many many times and never been disapointed. Amazing actors very good texts and famous directors. They offer Romanian and English subtitles to all their plays.

They are unprofessional liars even towards their more faithful spectators. I've really invested a lot in their shows but their lack of respect towards a certain part of their public will make me reconsider going to any of them in the future. Treating like this should be a no no and acting on privilege shouldn't be allowed. It's embarrassing and gives them a bad reputation

This theatre hosts revolutionary stagings of both classical and modern plays. Even though they are presented in Hungarian, they provide subtitles in Romanian and in English.

Visited a few times for a variety of shows. Every single time it was a nice experience. Shows are dubbed for no Hungarian speakers.

the company has very talented actors, that can play a wide variety of roles. the selection of plays hasn't entirely suited my taste on recent years, but this is still my dearest place in Cluj-Napoca

👍👍 It has a great acoustic, the orchestra is well trained by J. Horvath, the text is written in two languages. The building is beautiful renovated. Also the chorus sounds good and they have some great lyric soloists. The parking side can be a problem so take a bit more time if you want to go by car. En...
