Frankly the worst hostel experience ever. Do not book this hostel if you are arriving in Buenos Aires early. We arrived at 7:30am to be told we were not allowed to enter until 9am despite the hostel having someone working there 24/7. It was dark outside, we had no clue where we were (as we had just arrived in Argentina) and we had no internet. They did not allow us to enter the reception area to use the wifi so we could find a cafe or safe establishment to wait in. Upon asking for their help we were left on the street with our passports, phones and all our other belongings. While we cannot speak on the hostel as a whole, the staff were rude, unhelpful and they need to revise their silly rules which put their customers in danger.

I was robbed here of 1,000s of euros so unfortunately the decision to stay at this hostel ruined my vacation. Overall the security is poor at the hostel as the lockers can be opened easily with a screwdriver. They are flimsy and the doors to the rooms don’t have locks. On top of that the owner of the hostel is mentally ill. People smoke inside and the wifi is broken. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience with the service here. I had a bed bug scare and the staff didn't show concern or offer help. Instead of taking action and checking the room (and I did find a bed bug on my bed), I was told they fumigate every so often and that there's no bugs. While that may or may not be true, the lack of care really leaves a lot to be desired. I wasn't even offered a refund and was told I was the one that may have brought them. I'm sure they'll try to deny this again once I post this but to put the final nail in the coffin, the man with glasses decided to judge my language preference once I decided to leave. Sir, you may want to do research on bilingual people and dominant languages before opening your mouth to a complete stranger. This is a topic many Latinos in English speaking countries have sensitivity to and struggle with. If this is the way you treat paying customers I suggest you consider a different profession. Hostels are meant to provide a welcoming environment to people from all nationalities and backgrounds, I'm sad to say this wasn't the case. I suggest folks reading this review to skip this place.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!! And if you do, especially don't stay in the 3-bed room with "Kasia," the overweight and penniless, passportless Polish hostel volunteer, and the young Argentinian "customer service representative" who both live in the hostel permanently. The girl doesn't work and stays in the room all day long "sleeping" or looking up scamming techniques on google and the boy never seems to get up to go to his job, lying in bed until around until 10 or 11 am...what actually takes place all day while the tourists are out and about is most likely breaking open lockers, stealing cash, copying credit card info, and making fraudulent purchases. I got my credit cards and cash stolen from me when all were locked up and had over $6000 in fraudulent purchases in the following days. They bought things from Argentinian sites like mercadopago, grabr, and ohgiftcard. I'm still in possession of the cards, ones I never used in Argentina or outside my home country ever, so I certainly wasn't robbed in a random shop. From inside the hostel they took photos or copied the numbers--very relaxed robbers! The owner of the hostel Lucas insisted I was lying, making it all up, and told me this all happened to me while I was traveling on public transit because there are no thieves in his hostel. He may in fact be in on it. You're better off paying a bit more for a different hostel than dealing with being robbed and scammed. The wifi doesn't work anyway and the showers leak. People smoke in the common area and it will drift into your bedroom.

Hostel itself was good. But not much going on and the staff weren’t overly helpful for activities and things to go. We only stayed one night. For a quick stop over on a cost basis it was worth it. Any more than that j wouldn’t stay. Rooms were clean and tidy thoigh.

Great hostel on a perfect location in BA. Close to all the important bus stops and close to the subte. The family who hosts this hostel take great care of you! It truly has a “house like” feeling! The hostel has a lot of bathrooms so there is always 1 available. The beds get cleaned every single day and you’re able to buy a drink here 24/7 :) I’ve had a superieur 1+ week here!

Ojo!! The staff/guests sharing my room with me (in this case a very friendly volunteer who said her name was Kasia from Poland—a bit chubby with a light complexion and an Argentine guy/long term guest) robbed me after pretending to be my friend. Kasia did my check in so she watched me with my money and probably knew where I kept it. The boy also asked me a lot of strange questions about banking in the US. While I was out one day someone literally unlocked my locker that was secured with my own lock and stole my cash and credit card info. I filed a police report but the manger of the hostel accused me of making the whole thing up and making false accusations. Kasia had at one point told me she was very bored at the hostel. I guess she used her free time to pick locks, or buy a screwdriver, and rob people. I reported the crime to the police but they of course will do nothing. Stay far away.

I stayed here 5 nights and will be returning for 3 more. A very fairly priced hostel, which is think is a steal at its quality. The beds are cozy and warm, the bathrooms clean and neat, and the location is unbeatable and central for exploring the various neighborhoods of Buenos Aires.

Best hostel where we spent 3 nights! Good location, not expensive, and you have access to a kitchen, 2 fridges, a big space to eat, and a rooftop. The dorms with 4 beds have big lockers for each one. Air conditioned. There are a lot of bathrooms out of the rooms, with a WC inside. Hot water. There is a common area with a TV, DVD, PlayStation, computers, guitar, balcony where you can smoke. All the spaces were clean and good quality. Two cats live there! The reception is open 24/24. They speak English, and are very nice! The ONLY problem was the electrical outlets not compatible with the European phone charger, we had to buy adaptators.

It’s a great place to stay! It was our first encounter with Argentina and Buenos Aires, and couldn’t have wished for better! The rooms are basic and have everything you need. Very good price quality ratio! There is a balcony and rooftop terrace which are pleasant to hang out. What really stands out are the owners, who are very kind, relaxed and hospitable. We felt welcome and would definitely come back.

This is more of a warning for any bicycle travelers who may want to stay here. They don't have space in the hostel for bicycles. I was told to store the bike in a parking garage up the block... I didn't end up staying because of that, otherwise it probably would have been a lovely place

A second home away from home. Top 5% of all hostels I have stayed at for 10+ years. Very(!) clean hostel with spacious rooms, small inner courtyard, rooftop terrace... Come here if you want to: Have a relaxing breather in a homely, tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. Also good for anyone who intends to practice their Spanish - with patient listeners :) Ideas on what to improve? Easy: Install a couple of hammocks Easy: only use purchased water in the water coolers - I guarentee your guests will appreciate it. Advanced: Setup/Build something for additional shade on the rooftop - the sun is very strong during the summer I stayed here for ~4 weeks in Jan-Feb

A very nice and great hostel. The building is a historic one. Alberto the host is amazing. Even at 2am in the night when we arrived, he explained us everything about Buenos Aires. Breakfast is small but good. Clean showers with hot hot water. Rooms are big and you will find your own locker. Rooftop is fantastic and they do have a DVD collection.

WORST STAFF DURING OUR 3 MONTHS OF TRAVELING -The staff was annoyed as soon as you asked for anything. -During New Year you could not enter the hostel between 8.30pm and 2am, even though the staff were inside the hostel. Really bad on such a big event. - They didn't serve breakfast on the 1/1 even though it was included in the booking. - I got seriously ill during the stay and had to stay in the hospital for two nights. This hostel still charged me for those nights as well, and made no discount what so ever. Would never stay again, especially not during holidays. BIG NO NO! Answer to owner: You didn't change the booking since we still had to pay for all 4 nights, including the 2 nights on the hospital. Even though we asked for discount. And as for the new year eve party, I didn't know you had to pay money to talk to other guests on the hostel? Ridiculous.

+ Good location and though pretty worn out through it was clean, lots of bathrooms so sharing wasn’t a problem and there’s a rooftop terrace - Theft: My soap case was stolen from the bathroom having left it there at night - not a high value item but very annoying to replace, especially that it was a gift. Reception staff showed no concern and offered no help to find it. Independence: Guests are not trusted and generally treated like children - the AC is controlled from the reception. If you want it on you have to ask. There were several power trips during our stay which meant I once had to go down 2 flights of stairs at 2am to ask staff to put it back on as the room was boiling. It’s also always switched off in the morning. You’re not trusted with the room key either which you must leave before heading out. No keys to the front door are provided meaning you always need to buzz in and rely to be let in by reception. Kitchen access is restricted from midnight until 8am - not great if you’re looking for early breakfast. Terrace is also closed until 8am - a pity since sunrise when we stayed was at 5:30am. Atmosphere was dire. Unlike many other hostels I stayed in, no one spoke to each other.

Very friendly and helpful staff, everything we needed for our stay. Good location for walking around Buenos Aires, lots of nearby places for coffee and breakfast.

All 5* this is a hostel run by the family, there is a room for improvement especially in the bathroom. This place is not suitable for the person who has allergic to cats (2 cute cats in this place). There no sign in the door for this location either u refer to address# or look at the door on the left next to japanese resto..

So good I stayed here three times during the course of my stay in BA. Located in a beautiful area close to bus routes and not far from Palermo either. The rooms are clean, and so are the bathrooms. Also very safe with lockers and 24 hour monitoring of who is coming in and out. But perhaps the best thing about the hostel is the staff. Alberto, Lucas and Denis could not be more helpful or accommodating, they make the place so great. It is an absolute steal at this price and you can pay in cash which some hostels in BA don’t allow. I highly recommend this place!

Spent a few weeks here and absolutely loved it, the location is perfect (quiet but close to all the cool stuff), lots of outdoor terrace space to hang out. Felt like my home in Buenos Aires

A great hostel in buenos. This hostel is clean, calm and comfortable. It has all the things that hostel should have, all in good shape. The hostel's staff is very nice and helpful also. Zach the resident cat is awesome.

Alberto is super friendly. Whole staff helpful. Breakfast included. Clean. Beds are old, mattresses not the best. Large lockers to store your bag. Overall, great value for money.

Rooms are bright and smell of smoke comes in from staff smoking on the balcony. Even the owner’s son himself. Charge you a fortune to keep luggage, service that most hostels give for free. The breakfast is non existent. Wifi is awful. We had to constantly go to a restaurant to book our trip. The staff doesn’t really go out of his way to help with tips and suggestions: example - take the bus! But they don’t tell you that you need a card. Time to do some improvement people!
