Kind of my go to place for when I crave something sweet. Been here after ages and the standard of the cake is still good. Love the salted caramel dark chocolate and their version of the black forest cake. Should have a proper system for the queing though. Customer that was there after us got served first (not sure if they were regulars or not, but 8ts not fair ☺️). Also the count of people allowed in should be reduced given the situation. But for the dessert and coffee 5 out of 5 as always. Love it and can't wait for my next visit, will be trying the Arabian knight next time around and will add some photos of the cakes too.

Only had Cake from Butter Boutique twice. The first time was maybe 5 years ago and I wasn't in love with what I had. But tonight, I really had to have cake. Only from Butter Boutique. And I'm so so glad I forced myself to go there in the rain. I got myself a Dark Chocolate and Salted Caramel Slice and Holy mama...it tasted just amazing. Even at the end of the day. Still fresh and moist and the flavours were just on point. I'm definitely going back with friends to try more cake. Their brownie slices were huge, prices at 800/= and can definitely be shared by 2. Super worth the price. The service was great too.

My sister got a coffee cake from here, the cake tastes like lump of flour. It’s very heavy and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. The icing is okay. Had the cookies as well, they were like bubble gum. I had to chew it alot just to be able to eat it. I’ve had cakes & cookies from here before, sad to see how their quality has degraded over time👎🏽

BB has two locations - one in central Colombo and one further west. I went to the one close to downtown Colombo. This location was under renovation when I went there, so can’t comment on the eventual ambiance once the construction is done. I can however comment on the food. Coming to Colombo, I was given a list of 5 best places to have good coffee. I had been disappointed by the 4 that I tried till getting here; this place ticked all the boxes. Based on my prior experiences, I ordered their flat white with great trepidation. The fear was unfounded because the drink I got was perfect - two ristretto shots served with microfoamed milk that gives you a smooth velvety texture to go with the strong coffee shot. Excellent! Note they use a blend imported from Australia with mostly South American beans (Brazil, Guatemala) I also ordered their almond and black cherry cake and enjoyed it very much. Verdict: Highly recommended Food/ Quality - 5/5 Location/ Ambiance - 3/5 Price (Value for Money) - 5/5 Service - 5/5

I visited looking for a cake for a house party. I didn't make a reservation, but when I asked if there was a full cake, he showed me the refrigerator and said that it was okay if it was inside. Black forest cake. I thought it was a cocoa sponge, but it was a rich brownie-like cake with cream in between. The takeaway box was cute, and the staff were kind. Everyone is very satisfied. Next time I want to eat cheesecake at the cafe.

They are going through renovations and therefore have moved to a smaller space, where you can bearly fins seating. But the staff was really friendly. Wanted to try there tres larches as it is known to be heavenly. As per the reviews, perfect amount of sugar in the cake and my baby also enjoyed it. Hot chocolate was also good with moderate sugar. Parking is available and the staff is friendly.

I've always loved their Cinnamon Roll, and today was just reminded why (again!). Love their cakes, usually consistent and tasty. It was my first taste of the Sapporo Cheesecake, and I think I'm in love with it, it was damn tasty. I wanted to write this review mainly also because I appreciate the fact that they have free drinks for Uber drivers, that's a very kind and meaningful gesture. Kudos!

What amazing cakes! Came at a friends recommendation and was so glad we did. All three cakes we ordered we delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Happy to sit outside and enjoy our cakes. Particularly loved the chocolate peanut butter one - my son and I were fighting for the frosting!

Tried BB Barbie Flavour drink, and I am thoroughly disappointed. It just a strawberry drink with tons of ice cubes. Tastes like a regular milk packet at a supermarket and not at all worth for the price ☹️ wouldn’t recommend anyone !

Walking into this very calming and charming cafe, the positive vibes only got better when I spotted their array of cakes and found treats to please the different taste buds of everyone in my group, especially finicky kids. My favourites - Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Black Forest Cake !!

Their tres leches is heavenly.😍 And their coffee is also awesome if you like strong coffee.. Coffee balances out the sweetness of cakes.

Butter boutique is a nice place for meet ups. Variety of cakes, milkshakes, hot choc, juice are available here. They don’t have any spicy items such as rolls, sandwiches etc. also there are no pure vegetarian cakes available. The environment is good. Couples can have a great time.

Butter Boutique is a highly recommendable place for cakes and coffee. The cakes are so delicious and fresh. The place looks so charming and elegant to have a nice evening coffee. The best thing about Butter Boutique is their customer service. This is our experience with Butter Boutique and its customer service ; First of all not like most of luxurious cafes, Butter boutique take the order, serve and you have to pay only when you are leaving. Showing the trust on the customers is a next level feeling. Second thing was when we went there the electricity was unavailable and the generator power was not enough to operate the coffee machine. They apologized and just asked us to wait for another 10 mints, as the electricity will be back according to the schedule. But the things didn’t go as planned and we saw the staff was moving here and there to find a solution as they could not keep up the promise. And then we saw one of them shifting the coffee machine to another place to power up using an alternative power supply. We saw his genuine effort on his face. Luckily power came and within next two minutes the nicely decorated cappuccino and macchiato was on our table and apologized again for the delay. I have never experienced this kind of gentle behavior from any of the cafes in Colombo and hands down I can recommend this place for a coffee and have that experience on your own.

I had the tastiest cheese cakes. Regarding the quality, taste, place and the environment, I guess the price is reasonable too. Can't say much because I was in only for a single time. But I loved the calm and soothing experience I had. There were very few customers at the time and there maybe times the place is crowded. So I can't say the experience is unique in all the times.

BB highly recommended place for your cake cravings. Bought Cookie dough cake & Red velvet cake both were worth for the money. This is a small building and have few tables to sit and eat (not sure whether they have any other place to sit around). Butter Boutique is my go to cake shop whenever I need a cake-fix. I love their Oreo Chocolate Cake and the Caramel Ice Blend. It’s the best I have ever tasted. The Oreo crumb mixed cream cheese filling in the center of the cake counterbalance the sweetness perfectly. Their Caramel ice blend is way better than Coffee beans caramel ice blend even. It so rich in flavor and very think making it taste more like a smoothie. ❤️ I would highly recommend anyone to give it a try!

I’m a serious chocoholic. And all I heard when visiting Lanka was “have you eaten at Butter Boutique??!!” Anyway, I finally got the opportunity to try it. The birthday boy wanted cake from BB so I got him cake. And my god was it delicious!!! Happy boy, happy me and very happy taste buds and tummies!!

I ordered through uber eats after reading high reviews here. I ordered a cappuccino, red velvet latte and a Black Forest cake slice. Overall it was okay. But it doesn’t seems worth the price. Food was nicely packed. But for the coffee it doesn’t seems like they have frothed the milk. Coffee was very basic. Cake slice was okay. Tasted okay and a good portion size. But nothing special about it. Overall pretty disappointed as I had very high expectations.

I tried the Mocha offered by the Cafe & in future I’m gonna call it “Picasso’s Mocha”. It’s extremely well prepared & beautiful. The images speak for itself.
