I don't usually write reviews but feel that I just have to say how brilliant Kingfisher Tours have been for us on our honeymoon. It was our first 'self-planned' holiday and Kingfisher made it all so easy. Aswar was our main driver and he was fantastic- he was friendly, informative and so helpful. I was slightly apprehensive being in a vehicle with a stranger for six hours but the time flew by and Aswar made the journey a pleasure. Not only did he drive us around Sri Lanka, but he also became our tour guide telling us about Buddhism, Sri Lankan life and suggesting we try certain foods. He really did make the touring part of our holiday a great experience. The price too was very reasonable and the information given when booking made the process easy. Thank you for helping to give us a honeymoon to remember!

PERFECT HOLIDAY Me and my friend went on a 6 Nights and 7 Days tour with Kingfisher Tours and had a great enjoyement travelling with them. I would recommend Kingfisher Tours Srilanka for all my friends.

Not professional behavior,I gave 2 land packages of hambantota and trincomalee but not cooperated in sight seeing and refused to take all places and I gave scuba diving for 17 people the accompanied guide doesn't know the place of scuba diving wasted time searching place and lastly scuba diving centre doesn't have facilities for 17 person to do scuba diving and only 4 persons were able to do scuba diving rest were just taken to sea but collected money for 17 persons ,when argued refused to return money and very unprofessional behavior, every time telling that I am loosing money in your package,whereas other travel agent were given lesser quote but given to them thinking it is a good agent but I was not given services as agreed.

Really lousy rip-off place! After paying €220 for a safari, another $140 was demanded during the journey. The organizers are of course friends. It's better to talk to your hotels, they can help better. Avoid King Fisher Tours Sri Lanka!

Best tour of my life. And I've traveled a lot! Beautiful hotels, amazing breakfast every morning and a warm hearted, professional driver and guide– – all of this included in the tour. I chose Kingfisher because they had sites other tours didn't. Too much to say so I let the pictures do the talking....

This company is nothing more than a scam. My husband and I booked a “safari tour” on Viator that costed $220 USD only to find out it was only for a driver to take us to the park, where we were then charged another $140 USD (to man who we found out later is friends with the owner of the company and WAY overcharged us for the park fees). The owner of the company had messaged me right after I booked the tour and had immediately asked if he could refund me the money so we could pay in cash instead. The ad was so misleading and he was very dishonest about how much the fees were going to be so we took out cash but once we were way overcharged at the park we didn’t have enough cash left to pay the full, absurd, amount to the driver which now felt like a total scam as we could have just hired a driver for $50 USD to take us to the park. We paid the driver the rest of the money we had, and tour operator at first offered to drop the price for the tour if we “paid the rest”, which we had already paid to all of the people involved in this scam, and when we said no he called the police on us. We are honest people, we paid everyone involved in the day who offered us a service, except for the con-artist “owner” of the company who truly deserved nothing at that point. Of course the police sided with him and we ended up having to pay him the rest of the money. If you booked a tour with this company and you were happy with it, it’s only because you were ignorant to how much you were being scammed and overcharged. This is just a group of criminals squeezing every last penny out of honest tourists. Absolutely disgusting and so disheartening.

We booked a 11 days tour around the island with Kingfisher Tours Sri Lanka, and were not disappointed. Everything went smoothly. Our driver/guide, Mr. Sashi, was pleasant, kind and flexible, happily taking us on a detour if we’d read or heard about an interesting site not on the itinerary, or when we wanted to enjoy a meal outside of our various hotels. Once he got to know us and our personal interests, he made useful suggestions, turning it into a highly personalized tour. The owner of the company, Mr. Aashik, also was helpful with problem-solving and made himself available anytime he was needed. Thanks to all the crew at Kingfisher Tours for a memorable visit to their lovely, friendly country!

Booked a six day tour through Sri Lanka. Aashik personally met me at the airport, before pairing me with a great driver (Sashi). Very professional and friendly service. Great trip - including Nuwara Eliya, Bentota, Galle, Yala and whale/dolphin watching, visiting sea turtles and playing with elephants! Would highly recommend you book through Kingfisher if visiting Sri Lanka.

We have just wrapped up a 7 days private Adventure Tour of Sri Lanka with Kingfisher Tours. Sri Lanka is a beautiful, clean country with friendly people and Kingfisher Tours Sri Lanka really is a first-rate operator. The initial communications to organize and scope the tour were handled impeccably by Aashik. He was our contact during the tour and constantly took an interest in ensuring that our tour was going well. Our Guide, Aswar, was awesome. Aswar was constantly upbeat as he piloted and guided us all around his beautiful country. He was responsive to all of our requests, especially near the end of the tour as hotel stays had to be adjusted and as tour events were cancelled (and replaced by hikes which allowed social distancing) as the Covid-19 outbreak unfolded. The hotels were all comfortable and very well-chosen. The car was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the Wi-Fi that was provided in the car while we were driving. Having a private tour made it easy to adjust the schedule and timing of events. It also became important from a social distancing standpoint. Unfortunately, the excursions for the last 3 days were cancelled or changed (rightly so) as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. I guess we will just have to go back to Sri Lanka to see the leopards at Yala and the blue whales off Mirissa. When we do go back to Sri Lanka, you can be sure that Kingfisher Tours Sri Lanka will look after us and we hope that Aswar can be our guide. Highly Recommend their first class service !

We booked this holiday long before the Easter bombings but decided to still come, after the FCO travel restrictions were lifted and we’re so glad we did!! There was noticeable security representation at the airport and at a few of the tourist spots, but we felt extremely safe and all the local people we interacted with were very friendly and eager to help. We did a lot of research before we chose Kingfisher Tours with our itinerary, of what we wanted to do on our trip and have been delighted with the service we received before and during our stay. Getting a quote for our requirements was easy and we had regular emails from various staff and the manager Aashik. Once our itinerary was agreed Kingfisher also agreed to arrange the tours and Safaris we planned to do, which worked very well and saved us time and hassle whilst on holiday. We were met at the airport by our guide Sagara and he immediately made us feel really welcome. The driving in Sri Lanka can be crazy, particularly the bus and tuk tuk drivers but we felt perfectly safe with Sagara. Throughout our trip he shared lots of local knowledge and pointed out many sights so we didn’t miss anything, happily pulling over, so I could take innumerate photos!! It felt like he genuinely cared that we had a fantastic holiday and did everything he could to make our stay in his country as special as possible. There were lots of personal touches, like buying us king coconuts to drink from the roadside (delicious!) and we were even invited to dinner with his lovely family, as we stayed near his home town for a few days. We did go to a couple of tours with shops (tea plantation, wood carving, silk shop, batik printing) but there wasn’t any hard sell. They do follow you round to offer information and prices but aren’t annoyed or rude if you don’t buy anything. Thanks to Sagara & Kingfisher Tours for a wonderful holiday, you couldn’t have made it any better!

Best Guide for our Honeymoon! We had the pleasure of booking with Kingfisher Tours Sri Lanka for the first week of our honeymoon. After few minutes of our email we got the prompt response from Aashik (Guest Relations Officer) and with all our requests he came back with a wonderful itinerary. Our driver Aswar was very knowledgable throughout our week long trip, Pointing out landmarks and having answers to all our questions. He even stopped on the way to get us treats like Pineapple with Chilli. Aswar was always punctual and made sure everything went smoothly. The tour planner worked with me to come up with an itinerary, adjusting based on my availability and what I wanted to see and do. They made this a totally stress-free vacation. Had an excellent 10 days in Sri Lanka with my family end of January all thanks to Aashik and his team at Kingfisher. Kingfisher Tours in Colombo, Sri Lanka did a great job in setting up our tours to Galle, and Yala National Park on very short notice.

It was my first trip to Sri Lanka and it wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t use Kingfisher tour services. Aashik, the tour manager, is very responsive and quickly got the route customized as per my request and helped to pick hotels. Overall I stayed in Sri Lanka for 7 days and I absolutely loved every single day of my trip. I was assigned a driver who also appeared to be my guide throughout the whole trip, he was local so he knew the food, and the places to visit apart from famous touristic places. It was my first solo travel, and as a female I felt very secure and safe during the whole trip. Overall, I rate my experience with Kingfisher tours as excellent, and using this opportunity want to thank their team for helping to arrange my wonderful trip.
