Excellent lakeside location; actually it’s placed at the northern end of Dhanmondi lake on the 27(old) road. It has huge seating space under the open sky as well as an air-conditioned restaurant hall. They serve multiple cuisine. Food taste is quite delicious and prices are reasonably affordable. Recommended to pay a visit there.

A lakeside restaurant with outdoor seating facility. Breakfast that I tried was good enough with properly cooked tender meats and daals that tasted perfect. Tried their beef curry, chicken curry, liver curry and mutton nehari with nan. The place was a little crowdy as it was a holiday and also we had to wait for a table service but the food was worth it. Atmosphere is very ambient with the lake by side giving an open environmental vibe.

Excellent breakfast,tired paratha,sepecil daal,vegetables,beef khuchuri,liver vuna & tea. All the items are very tasty, and outdoor seating arrangements are good by the lake.

Sampan is situated along the edge of a lake. Therefore, it offers a scenic environment. If weather permits, the outside sitting arrangement can add value to the experience. The quality of food is recommended. The service is a little slow, but the clients do not mind if they find a suitable seat to enjoy the surroundings. There are options for parking for around ten cars. There is less crowd during the off hours, for example in the late afternoon. I recommend it. Inside, the ambience is calm.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome, especially in the morning. You have to wait for your breakfast for a long time in the morning. If you want to try all the food on the menu for breakfast, you have to come early in the morning; otherwise, you will not get all the food on the menu.

I loved the place as it felt so asthetic in the evening. The lighting the breeze, the boat, the water lilies in the lake blew my mind. I just ordered a falooda. I ate nothing as I didn’t had any plans. The price is between moderate & high. I surely loved the place & thinking to revisit. ❤️❤️

Superb atmosphere! Well food provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner, iftari and others. There are lots of Bangladeshi foods available here and they maintained good quality. Available of seats both inside and outside (open sky). Can arrange Holud programme and any type of family and office programme in small arrangement.

Very nice place and environment to spend time with family and friends but service is not satisfactory at all. It is also not advisable to serve half of the food after 30 minutes which is very annoying .

Highly recommended place to have breakfast with nature along side with dhanmondi lake. We visited there in the Early winter foggy morning of early January’24, still it was crowded people with family/ friends. Many of them straight came from walk of dhanmondi lake. Sitting arrangements and their services should be improved as they are getting popularity and many more customers. Food: 7.5/10 We took Romali roti, Parata with mix veg and daal and chicken soup. There was complementary 🥗.

Absolutely loved the kababs (specially the beef sheek) and parata. The beef curry (half) was enough for 5 people. It is better to come here in a group to taste all items. I wish they had milk tea like Star, it would have made this a perfect evening!

At Dhanmondi 27 around 10 am you can have breakfast sitting by the lake. I went last February, ordered parathas, mutton liver curry, buter dal curry, tea and water in the morning. They have indoor and outdoor seating. And there were so many people, due to which they took time to serve the food. The hot parathas and mutton liver curry with salad were very tasty. Having breakfast sitting by the lake is very relaxing. Food prices were reasonable. They have a small parking lot.

It's been almost 5/6 years since I last visited the Sampan restaurant. However, they have changed their name by adding Sampan-Mughal Kabab Restaurant. But the scenery and the arrangements were the same as before. I've ordered Chicken Jhal Fry, Beef Shikh & Peshwari Special Paratha. The Chicken Jhal Fry was about to be the best of these ordered items. But not much like it. I doubted it was Chicken Jhal Fry or any other item they had given me. The Peshwari Paratha & Beef Shikh was good enough. It is well-cooked and has good taste. Another thing I'm disappointed with is their service. To order something, find someone on your own; they will not come to the table even though they didn't come to take the bill by their will. I've called them to collect the bill. The atmosphere is good. But they should take care of the lake. Cause it got polluted by some stupid people who came here.

Food is not good. Bad taste, rotten and cold food. Vegetable was rotten and may be few days' old. Chicken roast tasted so ordinary that cannot even compare. Firni was also bad. 800TK package said Special salad. Then we got only few pieces of cucumber and onions. Food was served almost cold. I don’t recommend this place to eat. Only ok for addabaji. There are hundreds of other better restaurants in Dhanmondi.

Beautiful ambience. Perfect place to be during winter evening /night. The smell of bbq and kebabs frying while sitting beside a small fountain and neon lights covering the surrounding trees is beyond wonderful. The food is also pretty good. Loved the chicken Tikka!

Natural environment. Staffs are nice. The lake and lily gives extra serenity to your relaxation. Foods are really good at this price. Their beef shik kebab is really smooth and metling. Reshmi kebab is another beaty. I should add that the Rumali Ruti is another beauty. overall its a 5 star.

Sampan, Mughal Kabab House is a restaurant and outing place on road 27, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Its a sing floor lakeside Restaurant which includes both indor and outdoor food serving. The place is not so crowdy. Neat and clean. There is a big parking lot in the front. Inside, there is a single floor building in which people can have food with family, and the kitchen and counter is also inside the building. The outer side of the restaurant is in front of a portion of Dhanmondi lake. The lake is beautiful when there is a lot of water in the rainy season. There is a nice boat in the lake, people can't ride it but the boat is a nice place to take pictures with. There is a flower corner on the West side of the restaurant. And there are many tables outside, so anyone can have their meal under the sky. The price is moderate , not so expensive, not so cheap. But some items are super expensive, can cost upto 2000tk for a single item. The taste is also moderate. Some may like it, some not. The staff behaviour is also good. Any one will have a good time there.

Sampan - Mughal Kabab Restaurant was a chill place, with an amazing vibe. Near the lake with great decor and environment. The food was ok, staffs were ok, certainly could be better. The menu was limited. And there was a bit of mosquitoes as it was near the lake. I would recommend going there putting on mosquito repellant. And overall the restaurant just started, would recommend to try out to enjoy the nice vibe! Would be great for couples!

The location and decoration is very good. But the food quality is poor, need to upgrade the taste. Also the lake side environment is not hygenic. There is a big open open space here. So if the environment is neat & clean and the food taste is good, the restaurant will be the famous one on Dhanmondi area.

That place got a beautiful view at evening specially. Noises from around still bothering tho, well that's how Dhaka city is! Their food is okay I would say but service is horrible. You have to "Order" an item even though you aren't hungry or Interested. Overall a friendly place you can chill with your friends easily, people ain't bother. Ahh btw, they got two beautiful Cats 😍

Restaurants location is pretty good besides the Dhanmondi lake. But this not a Standard restaurant for Eat & hangout with friends and family. Their food is bad. Thier service is worst. Its a huge restaurant but they only have one washroom and guess what, its a Disaster toilet. Its totally dirty, after saying management on counter about their washroom they just avoid the issue. If they continue like that way i recommend you Not to go THIS Restaurant, it will be waste of your valuable money & time. But they have time & opportunity to Fix those problems asap and i wish they will do so. Then it will be a fantastic place to Eat & enjoy with friends and family. But now, its a horrible place to go.

Everytime I visit this place, I fall in love with it even more. Because, to me I always visit it with my friends and colleagues, and I have never found a peaceful and noise free place in Dhanmondi. All the other restaurants or coffee shops are usually over crowded, and pricy. But this place is kind of underrated, not a lot of people know the amazing service it provides. Just keep the customers happy, and we will always be visiting ❤

Me and my friend tried their beef shik and chicken boti kabab accompanied by peshawar paratha nan and raita salad which were delicious. Unfortunately I found a small piece of steel wool in my Kabab which is used for dish cleaning. Other than this incident which was a bit upsetting, everything else was decent. Positive side: Beautiful ambience at night. adequate space. Negative side: Hygiene needs to be improved. Food is a bit costly compared to quality and is subjected to vat addition.
