The rooms were very poor standard. We paid 60 euros per night and 85 euros on the weekend. The room looked nothing like the photos we saw on their website. No laundry service, 9km by taxi to the nearest laundromat. The breakfast included in the price was the only good thing.

The whole experience is overpriced. The breakfast options are limited, there are no sweet treats, needless to say sugarfree, butter is substituted by margerine and other hyper caloric stuff. Our room was at ground floor, by the toilet and it smepped bad. There are no places to hang clothes to dry. There are very limited shower supplies. No hair dryier, which is not to be expected at a seaside hotel. The area is loud and the landscape is flat. No safe place to store valuables is the room. The room is clean though and the bed is confortable, but it's about as far as the pro's go.

I have a friend that has been here a guest. He came with some colegues and there were problems with bugs in the room and big problems with the hot water, needing more that 10 minutes for it to come ... Not cool!

The old enough "Hotel Central" is saved by the placement in Mamaia...in the center! All other aspects are saved by this! There are contradictions in every places: new TV's->old style, new paint->old elevators, good placement->no parking places, good view->old arround, nice terrace->old fashion serving, nice personnel->nothing else matters, 3* hotel->this is Romania...be patient! There are worst places! Have a nice holiday!

Average rooms, but i liked the furniture. AC, balcony, some rooms have sea view. I didn't like the bathroom, it was a little dated. The breakfast was served by the pool, pretty tasty. The coffee was also good.

Good services, nice hotel but the furniture is not quite new and not so comfortable. Each room has TV, AC, refrigerator and bathtub. Good value for these services.

The bathroom is flooding, the balcony door cannot be closed completely. There is a lot of noise from the restaurant in front with live music. The staff doesn't know about surroundings.

Friendly staff . I don't know about other rooms but my one was really bad, 3 star hotel? No way, I stayed at 3 star hotel before and if this is 3 the one I stayed before was 5 star hotel. I'll leave some pictures over here...

Hotel Central is located in the center of the seaside resort of Mamaia only a few meters from the beach and is a typical communist-era seaside hotel that has been renovated and upgraded in recent years The hotel can offer a pleasant garden, private swimming pool, bar and restaurant. All rooms have a balcony and there is a well-functioning free wireless network in the hotel. On arrival, it took some time to get in touch with the employee at the reception to check in and I missed some smiles and commitment to me as a guest. The same also applied when checking out and for other inquiries to reception. This lack of service is something that is most likely left over from the communist era and which has still not improved much despite other changes in society. The guest room was simply furnished, but in addition to the beds, had a fridge, desk and well-functioning air conditioning. The balcony was equipped with two chairs and a table. However, I missed a small drying rack to dry clothes. The beds were in good condition and had clean linen. The cleanliness was otherwise very good and the room was cleaned every day. The bathroom was simply furnished with a shower, toilet and sink, but appeared to be clean and well maintained. The towels were clean and in good condition. Breakfast was served as a buffet and had a good selection of both hot and cold dishes, including fried eggs, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. The buffet was regularly replenished and there were no empty serving platters. The selection on the buffet was good, but still far from the standard of the breakfast buffets served in Scandinavia and Germany. It was possible to eat breakfast outside. The hotel's swimming pool was open from 0900-1800 and included a small pool, deckchairs and parasols, lifeguard and toilet facilities. The pool area was clean and in good condition and it was observed that the employees regularly took samples of the water quality, which was perceived as positive. The staff at the pool area were cheerful and service minded. The hotel had a nice location, pleasant rooms and walking distance to most everything. There was something lacking in the service part of the staff, but in relation to the price I felt I got good value for money.

Welcome back to the 1970 communist era, even the furniture is the same, not style wise, the furniture is 50 years old. I've been charged extra for a sea view.... I received a room on the first floor 😩 a beautiful view of the trees.... and you have to pay extra for pool access.
