Lovely place, with so much history! Len, our guide, was fantastic on explaining the craftsmanship and history behind posters, watches, and every tool in the Museum! Visit this place if you are in Coventry!

An excellent museum run by volunteers. Lots to see in these old cottages which are in themselves, living history. The once extensive Coventry watch trade is shown with all sorts of time pieces and tools. It provides a great insight into a past industry that once employed a vast workforce making gears, cases and dials before being final assembly.

Not the usual museum, three old cottages + secure shed for valuables. Unpolished presentation but all the more interesting for that. Enthusiastic staff.

The little hidden gem of Spon Street. Ingenious clock mechanisms. Historical recreations. A must see for all Coventrians and the cherry on the top for visitors. Only open a couple of days a week as run by volunteers. Support your museum by visiting...

Keen volunteers with huge potential for a fascinating museum, battling against bureaucrats not interested enough in this most important part of Coventry's industrial history. The City Council is charging them rent for their storage facility, instead of investing in and developing this site in time for their city of culture bid.

Says on web page it’s open, came there Tuesday 31.June 11:30am, it was closed! Said on a sign on the gate that it opens 7th June. What about updating the web page with relevant information?

Definitely a hidden gem in town. Shouldn't miss it if you are coming here. It has a fine collection of antique watches and clocks. Volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful. Don't miss the replica of the Congreve clock. You can spend all day to see it work.

Fascinating insight into the social history of Coventry. I enjoyed seeing the cottages which are a snapshot of another age. Run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers and on donations and free to the public. Well worth a visit.

I was VERY surprised to find SO much information in such a small place. The volunteers who run the place were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking a look in here when visiting all the old buildings in Spon Street.

I'm sure it's really good, however sadly it was closed when we visited- the website said it was open? Also when I called the number was not recognised. I'll definitely go again when they're open though.

Worth a visit whether you're into your watches or not. It's not huge but is a treasure trove of history.
