😠 I was absolutely shocked and honestly horrified by the way these poor poor animal are kept. They are left in the baking hot sun with practically no shade. They mostly seemed very skinny and sickly. The whole experience was awful to say the least. I truly hope that these animals are eventually freed.... People often mention animals, park, free, good, small, nice,

I was absolutely shocked and honestly horrified by the way these poor poor animal are kept. They are left in the baking hot sun with practically no shade. They mostly seemed very skinny and sickly. The whole experience was awful to say the least. I truly hope that these animals are eventually freed. There was also a lion and some cubs on site, they were held in separate cages, they were so ill I couldn't even bare to watch, so sadly I have no photos, same goes for the bear. The only exhibit that was a pleasant experience was the monkeys, they seemed to be having a good time even though there were dozens of them crammed into a small cage. In summary this zoo either has to go through some serious changes to the way the animals are kept, or(and hopefully so) be shut down completely.

The best Park I've seen yet and the zoo has free access. Perfect place to visit with familly of all ages and friends. Atleast 3 restaurants, popcorn and icecream machines close to the lake. Boats and pedal boats rentals for as low as 1.8£ fpr 30mins. Toilets free of charge next to the zoo. Hard to describe everything. Is the place you have to visit atleast 10 times in your life in different seasons.

It’s an open air ZOO. Which is free to visit. But the overall infrastructure is in a very poor condition. I have not seen any caretakers and the food served to the animals is bad. I wish there could be a way to financially contribute to improve the current situation.

This zoo should close down immediately, this is not the proper way to take care of wild animals. Habitats are way too small, dirty, the animals have to stay in their own dirt, they have little to no grads and shadow, actually is more a cage that an habitat. Keeping animals like this is just cruel and shouldn't be allowed anywhere, especially if it's done for the sole sake of little kids that want to see a lion. It's disgusting

It is truly disheartening to see that the animals at this zoo are still being kept in such deplorable conditions. I find it difficult to comprehend how people can enjoy witnessing animals confined in such conditions. The primary goal of a zoo should be to educate individuals about these animals while also providing them with an environment and lifestyle that closely resembles their natural habitats. The current situation is undeniably saddening. It would be more beneficial if these animals were liberated and the entire space transformed into a small farm for children. The fact that this facility continues to operate today is simply astonishing.

Disgusting. Animals in small mostly concrete floored spaces. I bet they are stressed and depressed. A sad place. Wish I hadn't seen the place but unfortunately this is where I went for a run.

A massive park with lots to do.. Zoo, restaurants, ice-cream stall and a lake. You can even hire a bike or an electric scotter by the entrance..

A wonderful park with summer theatre, zoo and a lot of lakes and trees. A place where you can spend a weekend, having fun with your family. The walking pads are suitable for skating too. If you plan to visit the zoo, bring some apples with you. ;)

A zoo in the middle of a park? YES, please! Visited twice in the same day with different groups of friends, second time was very crowded, a lot of families with children, all of them were enjoying the view. As we did!

The reptile area is a good display, it has now got opening times: 11am to 8pm except for Mondays. There is also a bird area which has been created in the old bear pit, which is actually a good idea as it looked very sad and delirict before. A few of the enclosures have been updated which is good. Although this zoo has a reasonable number of big cats: 3 tigers and 4 lions, they are in real need of updating..... Overall this gas been a good experience, and we are hoping it will continue to improve.

They have quite a few animals. The Zoo is located in the middle of Park Romanescu and there is no entrance fee. What I was confused about was the reptiles area - there was no schedule on visiting hours and no one knew what was going on and when it was available. Overall the kids enjoyed the area. Also, it would have been nice if there was someone around, from staff if people had questions.

Not as many animals as in the past years, the animals look like they are taking care of them but some of the enclosures are rather small for them

Free, open air zoo in the park. Kind of depressing. Park itself is alright. A bit overgrown in parts but it did have some nice flower beds.

Some water in the pools would do a perfect job. Otherwise, great job! I've never dreamt to see those furry fellows do well treated.

Small but free zoo. Visit it if you are in the area, the children will enjoy it

A nice zoo without entrance fee. What I enjoyed was that unlike normal zoos, you don’t enter the zoo, but you circle around and watch the animals. Most of them might be in their houses. I don’t think that some of the animals (nutria, storks and swans) have big enough pools. Also the terrarium isn’t open and the schedule is a bit confusing, so I’m not sure if it’s working. Otherwise it’s a nice zoo and a good place to go if you have some free time in Craiova.

First of all its free, working 24 hours, animals well handled, close to the public, small zoo exelent for kids to see animals from close range.Lions, tigers, wolfs, bears, as i understand was taken from circuses or private persons, cured and then putted in the zoo. Animals loking good handled.

Was nice, with lots of animals which you can see better than in a dedicated zoo.

Various species of birds and mammals, in pretty decent spaces, lots if improvements since last decade. Here you can see lions, tigers, bears, deers, wolves, foxes, otters, boars, monkeys, also pheasants, peacocks, eagles and so on. Very educating and entertaining, ideal place to take your kids in weekends, many playgrounds in vicinity and the whole park its a wonder.
