Amazing spot. Glad I found this and will be going back till I try everything on the menu. Every single item we ordered was amazing. Very authentic flavor and delicious drinks and food. I wish I was hungry enough to eat more. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gotta go back soon again.

I'm mean SERIOUSLY......look at the ice in that glass. DO NOT order drinks at this bar. My margarita had maybe 2oz liquid in it..... SERIOUSLY???? RIP OFF. Probably best to avoid this profit hungry establishment......they wanted $15 more to proceed further into the bar......honey.....it ain't all that.....there are hundreds more places than this. Lower Greenville here we come.

What a cool place! The decor, the tequila selection, and the ambiance are very cool. The walls are filled with crazy decorations and they have sooooo much tequila, enough for anyone's taste. They have a few specialty cocktails that are really cool and the tacos were delicious. Got the recommendation for the brewery across the street and were not disappointed!

This place has great drinks and the food is better. The nachos were amazing and tacos slap. I just wish they opened a little earlier during the week for lunch.

Best after hours, hole in the alley kinda spot for the best tasting pozole I've had in a long time! Brought out by the cook & served hot with an, array of chips, lettuce, cilantro, onions & lime... 😁 delicious. Made room for tacos and a, serving of their black beans. Can't disappoint now...

Always a great time at Ruins! Love the music scene they offer, the food is great, drinks are great, staff is always friendly and helpful! They have plenty of free events happening on the patio, and do tons of shows in the limbo room that are sometimes from free, but usually ticketed. Overall, Ruins is an awesome spot to kick back, have a few drinks, a bit to eat, and jam out to some great music!

I recommend this place to all my friends who visit Dallas. This place has beautiful and captivating atmosphere that is inspired by latin roots. The food here is good, the cocktails are delicious, they really know how to make a tasty mezcal cocktail and the staff has always been kind anytime I've come. I also love the limbo room that is attached to the restaurant/bar, I've been here for karaoke nights and shows, it's always a good time here!

We were looking for tacos and so thankful we found Ruins. Our waitress was fantastic and super friendly but the birria tacos were amazing. Grab a margarita to wash them down and you won't be disappointed.

Ruins was fantastic! I love an interesting margarita and the diabolico margarita was just that. It has a spice kick to it which goes nice with the smokiness from the mezcal. The elotes were my fav from anywhere and the torta was fantastic!!!

This was one of the stops on a '90s bar crawl that I attended. It's very cozy setting for a date inside, but also has a very nice patio. I had a painkiller cocktail that was absolutely amazing. Staff was also very friendly.

This was my 2nd visit to this place. Customer service has been great both times. I had the pastor nachos this go round and they were amazing and reasonably priced at $5.50. I was expecting to order something additional bc I wasn't sure this would be filling. WRONG! The nachos come in a chips bag and everything is piled on top. It was flavorful and spicy🔥. This will definitely be my go to item as I continue to explore the menu.

A suggestion from our bartender at Royal 38 led us here and it did not disappoint! They have, by far and away, the BEST salsa verde I've ever had, and I've had close to 100. As a person who loves all things spicy, it was perfect. Thanks again to Taylor for an afternoon of laughter and comraderie! Cheers!

I’ve come here quite a bit and the tacos are amazing! I love the Margarita’s as well. My new favorite tacos here are the Birria Tacos! They are absolutely the best that I ‘ve had here in Texas. The meat is so good and the consume is so flavorful. Everything about these were just perfect!

They were super friendly and explained the food really well! We got a bunch of cocktails and a scorpion bowl. The food portion sizes were good as well. They have more room in the back, and their outdoor area is really chill.

Lovely food and inventive drinks. I got the fried nopales with 3 different mole sauces and a squash blossom and corn taco. Both were vegan (although they did explain cooked in the same fryer as other items but I expected that.) I do believe I'll be dreaming about this food for some time to come.

This place was rode hard and put away wet... Staff is friendly, drinks were good. We came here for drinks around 4:00 on a Sunday. Right when we walked it, there's a guy holding up his overly drunk girlfriend. They stood in the same spot, inside, near the door, for 45 minutes. Neat outdoor patio with a large police presence, that tells you something. Skip this place.

Went here for a Sunday afternoon DJ show. They have two bars. This place has a cool vibe and a cool patio area. Unfortunately, I ordered a drink at the back bar and I used a credit card to hold my tab. I told the bartender I would pay cash at the end. The back bar was busy, so I decided to go to the front bar and buy drinks using cash. At the end of the show, I went to the back bar and closed my tab with cash. The next day, my credit card was charged WITH an 18% gratitity extra charge. Now, I have to call my credit card company and dispute it. Cool place, but watch your bar tabs and make sure they are correct.

We enjoyed awesome food and cocktails here. The authentic food was amazing! Must try the tripe tacos, go ahead and be adventurous here because everything it top notch. If I could I would give the joint 10 stars.

Cocktails are unique and really good. Food taste was average. I found service but slow even if there is less crowd. It took almost 20 mins for one drink.

We went here for a hip hop dance off. Incredible atmosphere, drinks and most of all the people who showed up for the dance off. What can I say? Incredible skills.

Ruins is divey and authentically chilango with Deep Ellum vibes. Amazing drinks, all of them with a twist and fresh herby ingredients. Presentation is impeccable. Plenty of mezcals to choose from but they also have all the traditional cocktails you're looking for. Kitchen is fast and has Huitlacoche. Not much more to say but I'll be here often and trying everything on the menu.

Cool little spot (and I stress little, very small venue) in the Deep Ellum cluster of venues. Visited late JUN22. Cool patio area outside main door, and generally a cool atmosphere. Food, while decent, was highly overrated. Beverage options, which seemed to have a strong promotional emphasis on their website was also very overrated and simply disappointing. Was glad to be there for the show and get some personal time with the bands. Worth the trip to support your artists if they are planning the visit but save your money on food/beverage and go across the street to Angry Dog or a multitude of other options that have better quality, variety, and service.

We tried this place on a Saturday evening! This place has a goof balance of food options and drinks options! We tried the al-pastor tacos, chicken tinga and the carnitas tacos. The meat was very well seasoned and they tasted good overall! We also had the corn elotes and it’s one of the best that I have had in Dallas. Their drinks especially the mezcal based ones are really good! Their service was fast and the servers are very polite and pay great attention to the diners! The atmosphere of this place is very unique and something new around town. Would recommend this place! We are looking forward to visiting this place again and trying more options from their menu! Overall a great experience!! Definitely recommend trying this place!
