A Dallas staple for 20 plus years. If you give this place less than 5 stars you should have your privileges revoked. If this place wasn't in Deep Ellum it would be packed every night. Food is all quality here and the bar is very extensive. Pictured is the Chicken Fried Tuna Steak sandwich. If you like tuna, you're gonna fall out of your chair after you taste this thing. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. And it's huge too! The atmosphere is so on point here as well. It has all the feels you want in a down home, relaxed restaurant/bar. So casual and always friendly. Don't let this place fade away Dallas! Stop in and give it the love it's given us for decades!

It's hard to beat St. Pete's food quality in Deep Ellum! Hands down a critical hit for service, selection and on top of that a local favorite. It's great seeing an owner of a business working on a regular basis taking pride in their restaurant. If you are looking for drinks they have stouts to seltzers draft to bottle. Great vibe, inside and outside patio. Family owned which is something you see less and less nowadays. All the fish on the wall caught by Pete which is pretty wild!

What a fun place. My wife and I were in Dallas and decided to go out to Deep Ellum. We came across the Dancing Marlin. The atmosphere is cozy and the decorations are very eclectic. Apparently they are known for their seafood. I had the Chicken Fried Tuna and my my wife had the Tuna Tacos. At first I was a little leary about fried tuna steak. Wow! It was great. I was concerned that it would be over cooked and dried out. Thus was not the case. The steak was crispy on the outside and moist and pink in the middle. Great! The fish Tacos were also very tasty. The fish in the Tacos were also very moist and cooked perfectly. This is a fun place to visit.

2nd time here 1st time was fine 2nd time not so much unfortunately 👎👎 I've done nearly 1,000 reviews here on Google and I don't leave many negative reviews. But the customer service here was just awful. We had sat down at the patio (only ones on the patio or inside the restaurant) looking at the menu when the angry gentleman working said we couldn't sit here without ordering. Long story short the food here is overpriced and not very good, too many better options In deep ellum. This would be my last choice. And the wifi has way too many problems going on with it. Overall my least favorite spot in all of deep ellum! 👎👎

I am simply amazed with the weird menu and its incredible flavor. Everything was fresh no corners cut. Service was beyond my expectations. Ask question before ordering, everything is made a little different. Portions are great and you will love the beer selection and price. The place is what you expect from a Texas place. Great job guys

Great, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Well rounded menu with selections for nearly anyone. Not a huge selection on draught, but ample. The dumpling appetizer with the spicy apricot dipping sauce is A+, and the housemade sauce would be excellent on most anything. The fry batter is cornmeal based so I really enjoy that and recommend it. In short, don't miss this place for great food and a nice place to unwind.

Simply one of the best burgers in town. The owner Pete is behind the bar on Monday and Tuesday nights. This restaurant is a staple deep ellum .. 25 years and still going strong ! There is so much history in this place you should definitely ask for a tour !

Fun place, eclectic decor all over. Relaxed, casual, good for groups. Large menu, not just your typical bar food. Food was decent. I tried the cornmeal crusted catfish which was pretty good, tater tots with it were good. Decent wings on the apps menu. The steak fingers not so good - just a weird dish but my partner was curious to try them. The skinny margarita (aka doesn’t have all the simple syrup or sweet and sour mix) was actually quite good, enjoyed that. Not necessarily a place I would be craving to come back for the food but I heard their catering food is great but I would come back for the atmosphere or if you’re with people who are picky eaters and prefer something simple.

Absolutely love this place! One of my all time favorite burgers & the best fried pickles. Everything on their menu is always delicious & they offer pretty much any type of food you’d be looking for! I love the character & hospitality of their staff. I wish I would have come here sooner, but am so glad I’ve found such a gem! Don’t miss out on this place!!

I LOVE Pete’s!! The staff, the food and the service is the best. Travis, the bartender always has a story to entertain. Pete, the owner can be found behind the bar giving life lesson and advice as well. The place overall is just amazing! The Cobb Salad with Italian pair with a Space Dust IPA for the win. You’re welcome. 😉

Kinda cool spot in Deep Ellum with a funky vibe. I only had an appetizer and beer. Had the wings, which were great. There were 10 to 12 in our party, and the assortment of food all looked appetizing, and I heard no complaints. All compliments regarding the food..suggest you visit.

We dined here on 15 SEP 2023. Absolutely amazing food. Great menu with a lot of choices. Easy to find something you like - hard to choose which dish to eat because there are so many love dishes. The server this day was a little reserved at first but opened up after a short while. Nice and professional. The place is also interesting - nicely decorated with a lot of fun and interesting stuff. They also got beer, wines and cocktails. What’s not to like about this place. Definitely a place to come back to. One of our favourite restaurants in Deep Ellum.

Every single time we come it’s like walking into a hug! Heart full? Check. Tummy satisfied? Double check? Fun? You bet! Easy on the pocket book? Well what else says hug more than that? Oh, and KID friendly!!

The place is really cool I love the decor. I didn't like the food or the cocktail I had AT ALL. The fried fish (cod) tasted EXACTLY LIKE GORDON FISHERMAN FISHSTICKS! No quality in the fish. The chicken wings was good flavor but soggy and the fries are the only thing that was good. I would recommend this place for a first date link up to talk in a open space and have a coke. That's all

Great food and service. Much recommended. The owner himself came to our table to ask if all was good. I can appreciate that.

With all the great reviews, my partner was expecting something with a sort of classier ambience and almost turned around when we first came in. Glad we didn't. It's a nice sort of hybrid of dive bar and neighborhood bistro, with old wood floors, a long bar, and low lights (and a patio by the street with picnic tables). Relatively quiet compared to the flashier places around there, which suited us fine.. I had the chicken-fried tuna coz I'd never heard of such a thing. Excellent. And my partner had the fish and chips which had a rich kind of malty beer batter. We'd read that Pete's baklava was excellent and were disappointed that it wasn't available until we tasted Pete's chocolate cake. So good! Our server, Rachel, was top notch and made sure everything was right. She was also genuinely friendly. Great place. We'll be back.

Great restaurant that is one of kind. Food menu is different with a twist on entrees. We all ordered different items and all really enjoyed it. Its a one of a kind restaurant worth a lunch or dinning experience. Plus all the stuff on the walls and ceiling. Yes I will go there again.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and had some great food. The server was extremely helpful and gave some suggestions on the bestsellers and best menu items and what they were known for. It's tuna of course. The tuna steak was delicious. There were four of us and we all had something different and it was all good. I will definitely go back.

I went to St. Pete's on a Monday mid-afternoon. So I wasn't surprised that there were only three people at the bar, a couple more in the dining room. I ordered the pasta and chose fettuccine, shrimp and pesto sauce. I chose the salad and the meal came with some nice warm rolls in a basket. The pasta was great! My bartender/server was dour but as the afternoon unfolded I realized he was supremely professional. A wonderful dining experience.

Staff was excellent and food was as well. We had a chicken nacho and salad. We couldnt finish them. They kept us well hydrated and checked on us often. the waitress was pleasant and had a great sense of humor. Fun place with great fun atmosphere. There is a small parking lot behind restaurant. Not large enough for a full restaurant, but could be a sweet find instead of paying for parking while you are there.

Great little hole in the wall that's been here, well long before I was alive. Owner Pete is a great guy and the food is awesome. Inside of the restaurant is also a sight to see.

What a super chill local place! Staff was so friendly, we felt like a bunch of regulars in there! Big patio space, which was so nice to enjoy on a sunny day. Food was delicious and very reasonable. We were only here for a quick lunch in between hickey games, but would go back. There are a bunch of places in Ellum area, but St. Pete’s is one to definitely stop at. Down to Earth.
