The best sushi experience I have had in Dallas, hands down! My wife and I visited Uchi for a special date night to celebrate a new job and we were incredibly impressed. We allowed our waitress to put together an 8 course menu working off a few recommendations from our side and boy did she deliver. We loved everything we had, and it was so fun to try unique incredibly fresh fish flown in daily from Japan. The other great thing about Uchi is the atmosphere, it is such a cool place, and being able to see the fresh fish being cut right in front of you is amazing.

Fish are really fresh, and service is great too. One thing I have to mention is that Uchi is not authentic Japanese, but American style. They tend to put sweet sauce in Sashimi, which is not a typical Japanese way, and the sauce are too strong(sweet) thus it covers the natural flavor of the fish. As a result you end up eating pears …

Great ambience, we sat at the sushi counter and taken care of by Ray. He gave good explanation as well as his personal opinion on the fish choices. Every dish was elegantly plated. The only dish we thought was slightly unbalanced was the white anchovies, the vinegar was too strong to our liking.

We were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time even though we were there early. Ordered the omakase for two with drink pairings. The servers forgot to bring us a few courses, which I had to mention to them when they brought us our drinks to be paired with the dessert. A bit disappointed by the disorganization, especially considering how this is a fine dining establishment. That being said, the food and drinks were delicious.

Visited Uchi on a date night with my husband, overall really good food! The quality of the fish was great!! A little on the pricier side but it was great during happy hour since we got to try a bunch of things on the menu before deciding on what we truly liked. I can’t think of anything that we had that wasn’t great though. Will be coming back for sure!!

Honestly one of the best experiences of any restaurant, ever. I made the reservation to this restaurant after researching sushi restaurants for a birthday surprise for my person. I am highly allergic to shellfish, fish, and soy. So I did not plan on eating, but simply taking someone I loved somewhere special for their birthday. The waitress was spectacular and offered us a “ server tasting” where we picked the pricing and she would work around my allergies. I did not expect such a high maintenance accommodation, but they were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make it so I could enjoy dinner with my person on his day. The food was immaculate, and the presentation was exquisite. Absolutely worth the money and experience. I tried things I would have not normally, and left there not feeling cheated at all. My person who avidly loved sushi said it was amazing ( I’ll have to take his word for it haha) . I absolutely recommend this restaurant. It’s classy without being over the top, the Food is stellar, and the service is exemplary. Not to mention free valet so I don’t have to park and walk 3 blocks in heels. Made me elated. I simply can’t say thank you enough or praise the experience enough.

Absolutely mind blowing experience. Took my partner their for her birthday and we both got “Omakase” which is the chef-curated dining style. All the dishes were incredible, even the vegetarian ones. Top of the class service. Valet service available. Definitely, a must try!

My husband and I went there for our ninth wedding anniversary, and we both can't get over the experience. Our waiter, Travis, was amazing. Omg!! The food was just heavenly. We got their $160 package and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and just so tasty. We will definitely be going back for that short rib in rice.😊😉

Uchi is definitely a Michelin Star restaurant, although they don't do that in Texas. The food is exquisite, packed with flavor and freshly made. The service is very good! Our waiter explained thoroughly what we were ordering and we enjoyed his help. The atmosphere was very nice and fancy. I believe that this is a place you should add to a list to come to!

Pricey, but they do what very few restaurants do. Servers have the ability to try to make your special day/date even better. Our server (Rebecca, I think) was amazing. Attentive and adjusted to work at out pace. She customized our experience for us as we were celebrating. Most places have a “standard” thing they do for celebrations or write your name in chocolate or whatever. The staff here seems to be empowered to think outside the box (within bounds of course) to make something special. All of the food we tried was good. We tried a compliment of beef, fish, and veggies. The salad with daikon and fried wild rice was unique and excellent. Consider this for your next special occasion. Oh and get the fried milk dessert. Just trust me.

Quan was our waiter and I will say this has been one of the best restaurant experiences thanks to him. He gave us great recommendations, specifically fantastic pairings and was always attentive to our every need. We came twice in one week. Shay was our other waitress and was amazing as well. We’re definitely coming back. Can’t wait to try new dishes. Props to everyone.

Good food and great vibe! Celebrated my birthday here and it was a nice intimate setting. I like that the dishes don’t come all at once, so it makes for a nicely paced dinner. Take advantage of happy hour if you can!

Uchi holds the reputation for one of the best sushi spots in Dallas for many reasons. Personally, I enjoyed the Sushi bar. The chef was helpful in making suggestions and ensuring our experience was enjoyed beyond eating.

They don't say it's one of the best sushi restaurants in the U.S. for nothing! My friends and I ordered 7 dishes including dessert, and every one of them was balanced and delicious. The chefs here clearly are experts in their field. It was so cool to watch them work. One of my favorites of the night was the pork belly dish. It is to die for! We also ordered the dessert, fried milk, because we were curious, and it did not disappoint. It was one of the best desserts I think I've ever had. The service was wonderful and attentive. Since we ordered so many at once, I really appreciated the servers describing the dish as they placed it for us. Thank you to my server, who took such good care of us. The only downside is that I kept wanting more!! Maybe next time I'll go without my friends, so I get all the yummy sushi to myself lol. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing experience, we got there a bit early so we went upstairs to Uchiba for drinks, The drinks were amazing! Our table was ready on time and we were seated as soon as we went downstairs. Our server was great with recommendations. We decided to go with the chef tasting, it was a great choice. Everyone at our table loved everything! It is on the pricey side but definitely worth it.

Each dish was an explosion of flavors! We did the custom sampler where they factor in budget and favorite flavors/meats. They gave us an extra dish as we celebrated starting our honeymoon and they were super kind and celebratory. We were so blown away. The best sushi ever! We loved the beef with hot stone, the steak, and the lobster in amazing, spicy green curry. The environment was modern, full of people, however still with timely service!

Just try everything on this menu and ask the staff for suggestions. The omakase is pricey but great choice. Everything on the menu was unique, interesting, full of flavors. This is what sushi should be. I truly enjoyed every bite.

What an amazing place. The food was amazing well as the wine. The service was quick and we had reservations. Sat outside with the nice weather. Perfect Sunday fine and dine. Parking was terrible so I recommend valet parking that is the easiest.

The food was just absolutely fantastic! Everything was delicious. And the desserts were also just as phenomenal. I think we ate about 20 pieces of the Gyutoro! They were super good!! Also, the fried milks were heavenly. The only thing that was disappointing was how slow the food kept coming out. Took about 15 minutes between each order. We were there for almost 3 hours. Our waiter Lalo was fantastic & took great care of us. And the staff were all fantastic!

More than just a meal, it’s a pricey social experience well worth it for the sushi lovers. Waitress curated our menu for us based on our preferences and budget, and everything we tried was to die for from the appetizers to small plates to nigiris and the dessert. Wagyu nigiri was our favorite. One member of our group was vegetarian and we were pleased with the chef’s tasting menu they were able to provide.

Uchi is a bit of a mixed bag. My girlfriend and I did the omakase and the traditional dishes like Tuna nigiri, yellowtail, and uni were good but not amazing. Where Uchi excelled at was their more experimental dishes that incorporated some smokiness and Texas flavor into the sushi which as a fan of Texas BBQ, I really enjoyed personally. The fried milk balls were also delicious. Unfortunately, there just wasn't a lot of food and while good Omakase isn't cheap, I've been to plenty of restaurants who give way more at similar price points. I think I may go back and try the dishes a la carte and modify my review accordingly.
