Honestly, with $99 per night you can totally find somewhere much better than here. This place makes you feel like you’re in a prison the moment you walk in. The only good thing about it is that they offer free parking, the rest is just below average. Their cleanliness and hygiene is terrible. All the walls are dull and dirty, full of dust everywhere. We stayed here for 4 nights, not once our room has been cleaned nor bins liners been replaced or spares provided. Corridors smelled like smoke, it was disgusting. There’s no ventilation in the plastic / portable / plane like ‘bathroom’, you can catch the foul odour of old urine in your room and makes it very unpleasant for your night rest due to the close proximity of the bathroom and your bed. Also don’t feel safe at all for leaving any of our belongings while we’re out. Other tenants look suspicious too. Doesn’t feel like a safe neighbourhood.

Good option for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable. Fridge smelt a bit musty as it was turned off. Window can be opened slightly but there are 2 major highways plus a train line so it's not quiet. Air con is better option. Hotel is across the main road from shops. A decent continental breakfast including pancakes was included in the price.

Bed was comfortable. Shower had long black hair on the soap container. Noisy fridge, people talking in hallway until 1.00am could hear front door to Hotel opening and closing constantly again until 1.00am. Needs a good refurbishment. Found reception staff very offhandish. Would never stay here again.

Room is very much budget. Only good for a cheap overnight stay. Not any longer.. Be mindful of many different peoples in the facility, from families, couples to truckies and everyone in between. Room is compact as with bathroom and shower. Good thing is the reception desk is attended to 10pm as they state.

Filthy dirty, Air-conditioning in first room was incredibly noisy, got a second room where the fridge hadn't been cleaned out from the previous occupants, it looked like someone had been picking there nose and flicking their boogers at the walls. Sirens from ambulance, police and fire trucks heard regularly. Toilets are so small your shoulders hit both sides whilst sitting on it. You have to shower with the door shut in the shower/ toilet cubicle as it apparently sets of the smoke alarm if you don't. Water pressure so bad in the shower you need to constantly turn around to get wet.

Impressive new low for a budget hotel. Recommend reading the reviews thoroughly. Poor service, dirty rooms, plenty of noise from the motorway, uncomfortable beds, all make for an awful sleep. Was expecting this to be on par with Ibis Auckland. Sad.

You only get what you pay for, foam cups with wooden sticks for spoons, a shower with no curtain so the water sprays over the toilet area, filthy floor that hasn't been swept, let alone mopped for a long time. All the ledges in the room were covered in dust and dirt, the tap was just sitting in the basin, not bolted down and the overall cleanliness was not what I would have expected from a hotel that is supposed to be adhering to strict covid cleansing rules. We had a booking at another Ibis budget hotel at a future date which we have cancelled.

Very small rooms, but comfortable if you get them clean ... I had my own cleaning materials. So I done cleanup on floors, dirty spots on walls. Cleaned the small fridge very quickly, to get defrost water and other dry staffing... I disinfectant light switches and door handles, and was very good comfortable stay.... I think the reception said was under staff. But if this is the case, the manger of model can help on the day or two ... That way they can see what mistakes are make... to fix.....

The room was a standard budget size but the I've seen bigger bathroom facilities in small caravans. Shower was stained and looked unclean, so we didn't use it. No power outlet next to bed to charge electronics. Very noisy and the room needs a thorough clean. The worst part by far, was the very noticeable smell of sewerage in the room. Too tired after 8 hours of travel to complain but will never book again. I have stayed at many Ibis budget hotels and this is worst.

I arrived at the hotel late due to getting lost so reception had closed a staff member had spotted me standing outside and opened the door to ask if I was okay I explained to him I was late and lost he welcomed me in and helped me get sorted he was very patient and nice and answered my questions when I had some so customer service was definitely 10/10. The room was very cozy and comfortable the bed was very soft room was nice and clean it was slightly inconvenient that the ac didn’t have a remote as I myself am short so I struggled to reach haha. the bathrooms is on the smaller side and a tad cramped but the shower pressure and temp was perfect plus it had a fancy shower head with multiple settings which I thought was cool and convenient. The rooms also have a mini fridge which was very handy. Overall can say I recommend the hotel I definitely am staying again on my next trip

This place employs rude people the place is old and dated and a shoe box in size budget being the operative word and you only have to read all of the reviews on this place to make your own mind up I really wished I had . VERY RUDE AND THREATENING BEHAVIOUR FROM STAFF AND THATS A FACT anyway like I said people should read all reviews because the truth about this low budget dirty filthy place (the old a/c filters like how dirty do you want them to get before you clean them that sort of thing can make people very sick)is not worth staying at . You just have to see how many 1/5 reviews I have been reading some reviews and lots of people saying they are like prison sells well prison sells are bigger and you have proper toilet and shower not caravan module water everywhere over toilet the floor very budget . JUST MAKE SHORE YOU READ ALL REVIEWS NOT JUST THE FAKE ONES ON SHOW . And very noisy to not hotels vault but doesn't change the fact its noisy they are on the corner of a very busy intersection emergency vehicles with sirens going all night very noisy all night traffic especially if you want windows open for fresh air because room is musky

Complained about windows not closing properly, and sink next to bed blocked. Told it would b fixed next day but was not. On third day was swapped to another room with its sink blocked, the man at reception said we blocked it. Ever will go to ibis again or recommend anyone.

Was a very comfortable stay. Rooms are like tiny houses. Even thou it was a smaller space, everything that we needed was included. Bed was comfortable, room was warm. Shower had adjustable head and good water pressure. Body wash products were included for use. Had a jug and coffee/tea products.

Not recommended. Room was quite dirty (dusty, old linen) and bathroom way too small and even a bit mouldy. No hair dryer or any other amenities. Got it at a slightly lower price with Accor Plus membership but still not worth it - front desk attitude was also average. Was able to get a later checkout but that was all that was good about it.

Worst stay ever. Upon arrive the reception had informed me they had cancelled my booking the day before but failed to email me, when I showed him I hadn’t received a email he still cancelled the booking and said to bad. It was 11.30pm and after a long day of travelling it was a horrible experience. He managed to get me into a room but not without having to stand my ground and fight with him.The room was also not the best but was happy to have a bed instead of having to sleep on the ground or bus stop. Will never be going back here and highly suggest going somewhere else

Good location for my needs. Room was not up to a great standard. It needed a good dust and was a bit grotty. Bathroom was also in need of a good clean. Price was on the expensive side for what you get in terms of the room. Small and dated. Bathroom was very small and a pod design in the corner of the room. Toilet got wet when you showered with nowhere to put clothes where they'd stay dry. Staff were not very engaging or friendly.

We had to find a place last minute for a night and this is easily one of the grossest hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms- literally nothing but the bed appeared to be clean and then when I folded down the sheets there was a big black streak on them, it looked like marker or grease, I couldn't tell. Either way it made the miserable stay and waste of money even worse. The bathroom - you could see that the walls have never been scrubbed, the bathroom door was filthy from never once being wiped down, the toilet was disgusting and it's set up like a caravan bathroom so when you shower the toilet gets wet and the floor. And speaking of the floors, make sure you pack some slippers to wear because they're also disgusting. And the communal kitchen? A broom closet with a hot plate and you guessed it, filthy. If you don't mind dirt and throwing away money, stay here. Otherwise I highly recommend anywhere else.

Honestly at $75 a night, it wasn't that bad. The best part was the staff. Both nights, police attended. First night the neighbouring room were psychically fighting and not a single staff member available after hours, and no phone number to contact. So called 000. Police came out. Dealt with it, said they are called often. Second night, heard yelling outside, looked out the window and another guest at the hotel was being handcuffed against a cop car on the carpark. The beds, they're alright. Two sheets and a very thin blanket makes a doona, apparently. Can't fault the cleaners, the room was very clean apart from some sugar granules on the counter. The water from the shower splashes back and soakes the entire room, including the toilet. You are only given one bath mat and it's pretty much paper thin, so it does nothing. Only two towels as well so can't even use that. The property is overall pretty clean, surrounding areas are treated like a dump but can't fault the hotel for that. Rooms are near soundproof so the traffic isn't loud unless there's horns or sirens going off. Aircons work superbly.

The drain smelled terrible. The top bunk wasn't made up even though there was three of us. Also they only supplied two towels i had to ask for another one. We stayed in another place last week that was slightly cheaper but much better. I have stayed there before and the place was much better then.

Booked for an overnight stay close to the M31 highway. The room was not cleaned properly had dirt and dust on top of the bed head and nail polish on the side of it. The window latch to stop people from opening the window fully was severed and could be opened. Luckily we don’t have any kids with us because that is a big risk to have especially on a second level which would be quite worrying if a family books. Not only that there was a towel on the window to stop the wind and cold breeze. To make matters worse the heater was very loud so had to turn it off to sleep which made our stay very cold due to the window not being able to close properly that masked with a towel. The toilet and shower are very small so if you can’t be in small spaces this isn’t ideal (it’s like a planes rest room). The tap/ sink in the room was very loose. The handle to get in the room was very loose and that’s a worry as the other guests where a bit strange didn’t feel that safe it was nearly falling off. Wouldn’t stay here again or with IBIS in general, I have been in cheaper motels that are lovely and this one is just run down.

This hotel is in a convenient location but that is about it, it smells weird, there’s a tonne of dust build up in the aircons so they don’t work properly and gave us all allergies the next day. The bathroom was gross and seemed a bit mouldy. Would honestly have preferred driving to the airport at 2am over staying here. Overall it seems like there is a lack of care and upkeep that has gone into this establishment.

The rooms are small, dirty and smelly. I asked for a room with two single beds but they are pushed together so it’s just like a queen/king. I’m travelling with my teenage child the last thing they want to do is share a bed with mum. The window doesn’t shut properly, the water pressure in the shower is absolutely awful not to mention the mould growing around the door, the vents are dirty and full of dust which blew around our room! Not to mention the man at the counter was exceptionally rude took my credit card out of my hand and behind the desk where I couldn’t see it then asked “what account do you use”… which was unnerving to say the least. The men smoking marijuana in the car park which wafted into our room also added to the pleasant ambience of the place. I know it says “budget” but it’s more like staying in a cell

Didn't have a quality rest after long flight to be staying here . We were laughing asking each other is this a budget hotel or mental institution ? When we arrived around 10 am on Sunday morning , there was a guy at the reception , with no smile, straight face , not even greeting or said welcome , told that we can only check in at 12 pm. My friend asked where are the shops and ATM machine nearby , the reception guy suddenly raised his voice saying " Don't you have phone ?" Oh my God .My other friend had taken the video of that scene and planned to upload it on tik tok but we didn't allow it. Actually, now, when we talk about those 2 horrible nights staying there ,we are laughing. Cause we never met reception worker like that , treating us badly . The house keeping guy ,come and go every 2 min like a spy trying to listen to what we talk about . And when check in , no assistance to help us with the luggage , and suddenly we heard people screaming , yelling , shouting, banging door non stop. Room is so small ,cannot breathe ,no air cause window is locked all time lollll. Would never come back again .That' s the first bad impression for us as first timers visiting this country .To the reception guy on Sunday morning, you should get other jobs . You aren't friendly , no smiling, rude and annoying . I still remember when you said to my friend " I cannot understand your English". One think we only like is Kmart .it opens til late midnight !

Would have rather slept in a hole in the ground. Got in from a late flight and just wanted to go straight to sleep, pulled back the sheets and found them to be stained with blood. The room itself was also like a shoebox. Way over priced for what you actually get

The room was dirty and not cleaned the noise was terrible. The guy on reception took my credit card out of my hand and my mobile phone I then had to ask to get my credit card back. 11pm at night there were police swarming the carpark with arrests and taking a vehicle away. We got up and left and had paid for 2 n8ghts with NO REFUND FOR SECOND NIGHT WE DIDN'T STAY FOR.

These days it's getting harder and harder to have an old fashioned affair without spending a lot of money on fancy hotels. This is where the Ibis budget hotel is a godsend. The rooms have beds and lights. Also they have a table upon which you could place your personal items such as your wallet, phone, contraceptives, lubricants, and your wedding ring. Unless of course, you're bitter and you enjoy looking at the symbol of eternal celibacy as you plough balls-deep into your companion. The carpark is a nightmare to enter and to leave; so top marks for consistency. Be aware that as you turn on to Sydney road, you'll be in full, humiliating view of the vast majority of cars in Melbourne, and yes, they all know what you've been doing and they're all battling disgust and envy simultaneously.

To the male staff most of the time works on Saturday & Sunday morning ( from 7 am- 3 pm). You need to learn on how to speak to people. You are lack of communication , intrapersonal & interpersonal skills . Very rude , throwing pen when asking the guest to sign the booking paper , raising voice to the guests that you think easy victims and never talk back. You treat these easy victims like a dog or stupid idiot people . Raising your voice as your pleasure like " Go get your photo ID!" " How many times I said bla bla bla" and keep babbling and repeating it in front of other people . You are a bully , and this is considered as abuse . You keep embarassing people in front of the other guests. You don't know how to talk about personal matter in private . It would hurt that person's you embarass feeling. But you would talk nicely to the alpha big male manly guests or people whom you think aren't easy victims. Or when your manager is around . Don't be judgemental, when you see nerd guests or you think they are idiots , you take advantage to bully and embarassing them . You can't even know people that you bully and embarrass have degree , master in management, work in hospitality and educational field for many years .They are very good at people's multiple behaviours. And they are way older than you. Some people they don't want to talk back or give response, because they don't want to have bad energy or negative vibes after argument. They just let it go and have faith in KARMA to do it's work. You are not so professional . When you act like that , people will know that you need to gain lots lots of experiences. Older people would know that you just start your life . They can picture what kind of person you are and how you are raised up. They are not looking at people you embarass , but they will be looking at you with your poor attitude in management . This is a hospitality industry. You are just a raw stuff .Couldn't imagine your attitude and arrogance if you own a hotel . Even the manager just gave warning no more smoking in the room , but you without any black and white document just straightaway kick the guest out verbally in front of the other guests .That guest must be so embarassed. No professional discussion , no private talk , no tolerate , no second chance ,etc... This is Australia for God's sake. Couldn't imagine if people treat your mother , your brothers , sisters and family like this . You want the guests to comply and follow the rules , you yourself did not follow the procedures , rules and protocols . Rude, raising voices , discrimination, banging loud knocking door, talk about private matter in front of other guests until he/she feels embarassed. You have no soul. Heartless . Those guests had spent lots of money staying at this hotel, some are willing not to eat as long the hotel room is paid . You never asked how they are going, ok or not, let alone to say sorry, apologise or even smile . How can people respect you and have a professional communication with you as you don't know the way on how to talk to people with multiple behaviours ? Here and there on the walls are about "smile", but never saw the staff here smile .Only few . Even the house keeping mature lady are grumpy and always angry until people have fear to ask for a towel or anything. Those two ladies working at reception are the best . And few males staff as well ( 3 of them ) . Not like you . Just enjoy finding fault. A BULLY.

I live for three days from July 10th - July 12th The room is acceptable if you just take a shower and sleep. Before going to bed, I will tidy up my things and pack the garbage, but when I wake up the next day, the whole room is covered with ants. Before going out, I told the morning counter to ask room service to tidy up. When we came back in the afternoon, the room was still untouched , The ants are still crawling everywhere. I have already told the counter this morning, but there are still so many ants crawling when I come back. I was so angry that I rushed downstairs to ask. After looking at the photo at the night shift counter, I was dumbfounded and wanted to use insecticide to kill insects, but finally helped me change the room. I think... the service attitude needs to be strengthened, the sanitation is very bad. Attached are pictures of ants

Compact and clean. Just not secure. Unfortunately they did not keep the front door locked at night and when I left at dawn I was harassed by a person wanting to sleep in my room 'if I wasn't using it anymore'. They then harassed me at my car as well. I don't think I'll be staying here again.

Room was only $85 so I didn’t expect too much. Room was adequate and clean, hot shower and air conditioning. Good for an overnight stay, not for any length of time. We had a rear facing view of the neighbouring business roofs where past guests of the hotel have thrown their rubbish onto, not the hotels fault but was gross 🤢

They need an electrician and a plumber in here ASAP. One of the power points is almost dangling out of the wall, the sink tap isn't even connected to the sink anymore and is completely free-moving. The shower walls look like they haven't been cleaned since the place was built, and there are dust bunnies all over the floor. I've stayed in backpacker hostels that are cleaner and cheaper than this.

Want a prison experience but still be able to make it to work on Monday? Look no further. Conveniently located on the intersection of two major roads, the traffic noise and carpark drunken yahoos was mercifully mostly blocked out by the noisy aircon unit that has to be left on to combat the stale concrete room feel. With corporate graffiti in the stairwells, wall mounted fluro lights and TV bolted on to the wall, you'll feel like a criminal for the entire stay. My room had the added bonus of a smoke detector that was wrapped in toilet paper to allow previous guests to smoke undetected and even had cigarette burns on the sink and in the shower. Breakfast is not being served in the communal dining room, so your $9 gets you a box of mini cereal and UHT milk. You'd be better off walking/driving to the nearby McDonalds or Woolies, or better yet staying elsewhere. The best part of the stay was leaving the next morning and finding my car was still in the carpark with all of its wheels still attached. Yes, it was only $99, but you'd be better off sleeping in your car.

Always like the Ibis budget hotels. I really am very appreciative that the hotel gave me a ground floor room (even though they were trying to keep them clear to change mattresses in those rooms) as I could put my motorbike right outside my window, also meant I could take everything off the bike and take it inside. Sadly, the mattress in my room was very uncomfortable. But, they were changing them, so it's a moot point.

Little bit different with the layout of the rooms,,,bathroom is raised platform,,,have to b careful not to trip over going in and out the bathroom door,,along with the room door too. The basin is actually outside the bathroom. Otherwise it,s pretty good rooms to stay in too.

Had to be here for a job interview close by, and it was a good experience staying here. Helpful staff, room was clean. You are getting a place to sleep. The bad was that the mattress and pillows were too soft. That is a me problem, and not a hotel problem because I am used to a stiff mattress, and dense memory foam pillow. The actually bad is the lack of power point near the bed to plug my laptop into while using it. It was barely enough if I sat at the edge of the bed, but something close to the bed would be nice to charge the laptop, and phone.

Room wasn’t very clean, floors were dirty, bedsheets had crumbs in them? Cabin bathroom is horrible, room was full of mozzie’s every-time I sprayed more we’re still coming in. The room was so small my husband could lie down and touch wall to wall.

The rooms are terribly dirty, I had to stay here twice and its absolute nightmare. Toilet is coverd with urine, place is dusty, it looks like they never use the vacuum cleaner in the rooms there is previous customers hair all over the floor, there is something that looks like mold in the shower. I didnt expect much from this place but would expect to get a clean room for the money you pay. Do not reccomend, dirty, dirty, dirty place.

Poor value ..rudinesd of staff with little experience in disability care ..as I'm trained refused to allow disabled room for bathroom use .dirty as cleaners were not wanting to clean properly..been here for several months due to being poisoned at previous property,..putting up prices because it's near Xmas and a problem with burning sensation on feet and ankles with room flooring..senior management refusing to acknowledge there problems..I always paid on time..room is like a cell and air con not working properly ..refused to change room for privacy..not much to say but they need to address their problems they have within the senior problems...also theft from baggage locked.ourdude room worth well over $400-600. Police notified and little concern or follow up by staff and authority..disabled sins and my personal property. Also new videos...no support from general manager...stars ...none...Shame garden looks better now..

The room had bugs. I had to smash a couple of crickets myself because they were jumping around and I couldn't sleep. Picture attached. Had a chat to the manager at the reception and he told me that was normal during this period of time and it was perfectly acceptable. Make yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Stayed here a couple of years ago now, undoubtedly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Here was my review directly to the hotel back then and it looks like nothing has changed. I've received an email today requesting a review for our stay at Ibis Fawkner. I am also forwarding on directly. First if all, I didn't pay much and didn't expect much. Being Aus Open this week, hotel prices were dear and there wasn't a lot left under my budget of $130pn. What I didn't expect was to have to share a single bed with my son to keep him warm and to try sleep with no pillow and a towel as a blanket.. The entire hallway smelled of cigarettes, the walls and flooring are not clean so the first thing I did upon walking in the room was to check for bed bugs, it appeared clear enough but interestingly enough there was no full mattress protector, I then checked the pillow and it was the filthiest pillow I've ever seen and again no pillow protector, then I pulled down the double sheet which is in place of a quilt cover, fairly standard these days, but the quilt was the most yellowed stained quilt I have ever seen. How could a hotel not use a protector and not wash their pillows or quilts? These must have been years old. We arrived quite late, so I emailed photos to the manager that night and he did phone back in the morning to say this would be changed that day The manager was very apologetic and tried to put it down to an oversight that the old items should have been switched out, but there is no way the pillows or quilt had ever been washed. the second and thankfully final night they were changed to new items. The bathroom was also quite dirty, the floors looked okay, but mould in all the gaps, mould in the vent and the walls around the toilet need a clean. Does Accor audit their hotels? If not, I would be doing that before you have a scabies or bed bug outbreak.

The sink was blocked and the tap wasn't secured to the sink. Reported it to the reception staff, who wrote it down, but it wasn't fixed. The sewerage pipes gurgled loudly. The front door skin was coming away. Traffic noise was so loud that we thought the window was opened. The fridge leaked water onto the floor. There was a whole tandem truck wheel in the carpark??? 🤣😂

Overall relatively good experiences Although… Bathroom it’s common to find hair and mould Certain receptionist is far from helpful and won’t go out of his way. 13/11/23 Enthusiasm goes a long way. All the others are pleasant and thorough. TVs disconnected and cords hanging down so plugged it all back in only for no programs available. Informed reception. It’s little things like this that go along way in comforting guests

Cons: The rooms aren't the cleanest: The bed is made up by sheets. The blanket has no covering and is placed in between 2 sheets. The blanket itself had a stain on it. The bathroom is very small. Door has no lock and you have to slam it to shut It, which is annoying at night and very loud for other guest. The rooms are NOT sound proof and you can hear everything in the hallway and everyone can hear you. The bathroom is very dirty and the exhaust fan is clogged and does not work. You have to close the VERY LOUD door to not set the smoke alarm off from the steam and the toilet would barely flush. You had to press both buttons multiple times. The room does not offer very much storage options for clothes. The room itself didn't have much of a smell but the hallway and downstairs always smelt very strong of burnt food. NOW THE KETTLE...... The kettle was absolutely disgusting. Could not use at all. My partner put the kettle on when we got in the room and it stunk out the whole room. The water came out yellow and we never touched it again. We went down stairs to get a coffee and no cups were supplied at the machine. Didn't feel safe using the mugs supplied from the room on the machine just in case they where to small. Opted out to pay for coffees which where so much more expensive. We stayed for 3 nights and on the second night they terminated our key card so we where unable to access our room. We did not see the house keepers nor given or offered any extra towels. BIGGEST CON OF ALL WAS NO MICROWAVE..... Just warning others as any left over foods may go to waste and was hoping there was a microwave in a common area but was not. Pros: The AC works great even though it looks broken. The AC does tend to make the light flicker but very minimal and doesn't affect stay. The fridge was very clean and worked super well. Parking was always good and free. Location is great as there is a plaza only a few minutes down the street. For the price I would recommend staying but don't expect to much other than a room with a bed, window, and the tiniest bathroom you will ever see. I would recommend staying if you are not going to be in the room much only for sleeping.

Such a pathetic experience here. We paid so much for this hotel. Disgusting as hell. Someone came banging our door at 3am in the morning which disturbed our sleep altogether. No security at all.no service. No phone available in the room to call in case of emergency. Rooms were so dirty , small .don't even have space to keep the bags. Nighmare !! Hell of an experience. Don't book it ever.

😐 Tried this place and my experience was not that great. The food quality is not good & taste is below average. Not sure why this place is famous when there are many restaurants that serve great Indian food with quality, quantity & price.
