First
impressions
weren’t
that
great.
The
family
section
looks
dilapidated
and
is
in
urgent
need
of
refurbishment.
The
table
cloth
was
filthy
and
the
area
poorly
lit.
We
decided
it
was
best
to
go
with
the
daily
specials
for
which
they
have
a
separate
hand-written
menu.
We
ordered,
1.
Lahori
Mutton
Kadai
(Half)
-
SR.
33.35
2.
Brain
Masala
-
SR.
23
3.
Chicken
Afghani
-
SR.
29.90
4.
Palak
Paneer
-
SR.
17.25
5.
Chicken
Tikka
The
‘Lahori
Mutton
Kadai’
with
it’s
tender
cuts
of
meat
and
spiced
and
thickened
gravy
was
a
winner
and
has
been
consistent
for
as
long
as
I
can
remember.
The
melt
in
the
mouth
mutton
works
well
with
the
free
tandoori
roti
that
they
serve
and
you’ll
end
up
wiping
the
gravy
clean.
The
‘Brain
Masala’
though
not
everyone’s
cup
of
tea,
was
delicious.
I
loved
how
creamy
it
was
and
if
you
have
trouble
picturing
it,
it’s
a
cross
between
minced
meat
and
runny
scrambled
eggs
but
packed
in
flavour.
The
‘Chicken
Afghani’
was
a
disaster.
Bland,
Chicken
pieces
cut
into
tiny
bits
that
made
it
dry
and
a
gravy
that
had
no
flavour.
Chicken
Afghani
is
a
very
subtle
dish
and
I
have
had
much
better
ones
before
but
this
was
not
it.
The
‘Palak
Paneer’
too
was
a
bit
of
a
miss
and
could
have
done
better
with
a
bit
of
cream
to
help
tone
the
salt
a
little
bit.
The
chunks
of
paneer
barely
had
any
flavour
either.
The
Chicken
Tikka
was
just
ok.
Though
it
had
flavour,
it
was
bit
dry.
A
dry
barbecue
was
definitely
unexpected
considering
I
have
had
better
Tikka’s
here
before.
Failing
standards
maybe?
Overall,
the
‘Mutton
Kadai’
and
‘Brain
Masala’
made
up
for
the
disappointing
dishes.
