Hotel was in general very good. Staff was very helpful and professional. Free breakfast. The only big problem was the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Very loud. I charged the room, was slightly better but still very disturbing. It is a general ventilation problem because in the hallway was the same.

Great service and Design The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The lobby felt comfortable with its colorful and inviting design. The bar always had a guest sitting there and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back here. Keep up the good work.

Nice and modern designed interior downstairs. Great showers, comfortable beds and good friendly staff made this a really comfortable stay for a short break. Location wise, it is close to the business park and station but far from the centre. What was bad is they had a water machine that was broken, so no where to refill drinking water, and not enough car parking spaces for the amount of guests. Also the chairs in the rooms should really have wheels so business users can work from the room more easily

Near the train station. Air conditioned rooms. Car park for 1.6m height cars. Good breakfast from 6 to 10:30. Nice service. Bar in the lobby. Recommended for short stays.

CHEATERS, STAY AWAY! I booked 2 rooms via booking.com for 2 nights starting at 14/5/2022 for me and my colleague. We paid cash at the check-in. On 17/5/2022, one day after check-out wothout any warning they charged my card for 250 euros. I called them twice and they told me not to worry, they just checked if my card is valid and the amount is just blocked, not charged and it will return back to me. I sent e-mail via booking.com and took the same answer but no money back. Now, after one month and several mails from me they said that the amount they charged, is a penalty, because my colleague, smoked in the room, something that never happened because there are smoke detectors in every room and they never ringed. Probably they threw some cigarretes in the room, just to take a photo of them and say that we smoked. I am already preparing a report for the local prosecutor. So, if you don't want to live this kind of experience, just find another hotel.

It is a new and clean hotel. 8 parking lot is free. If you can not find you have to pay for underground parking. Breakfast is very good. Beds are comfortable. Water is drinkable. It is a good hotel to stay for business trips and a rest for long driving. Holiday inn express hotels are always good for a one day stay.

Clean and fresh. Lacks some amenities, actually any amenities and the breakfast is a bit too simple and lacks healthy choices like seeds and nuts and berries.

A hotel only a few years old. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the train station. However, you should choose the exit near the REWE. However, this should not interest most guests. Our impression is that the hotel is mostly visited by business travelers with their own cars. One more thing should be known: There is nothing around the hotel. No restaurant, no bar, no supermarkets (except for the REWE in the train station). But the hotel has its own bar, where you can get small simple dishes. Otherwise, we can recommend the hotel throughout. The rooms offer the usual new Holiday Inn Express design. The restaurant, lobby and bar are nicely designed. The staff was friendly throughout. And as an IHG Diamond, we were allowed to enjoy a drink voucher for the bar. Housekeeping also did a good job and breakfast was perfectly adequate and up to standard as served at Holiday Inn Express hotels. One more word for guests who want to use the hotel as a starting point for their sightseeing: The hotel is far from the action. Without a car or public transportation, you're screwed. The nearest bus stop is less than a 5-minute walk away. Or you can go to the train station and take the train or a bus. So if you are passing through Dortmund, you can safely stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

Great little budget hotel close to the HBF and airport bus stops with very friendly and helpful staff, The rooms are very modern and in good condition, plus don't let any sound in from the railway. Beds are very comfortable. Downside is no room safe and storage could be better. You do need to be aware of the location... For us, it was perfect as the event we were attending was nearby. As mentioned, very close to rail and airport shuttle bus stop, but not exactly smack in the centre of town, so may need to travel a little, depending where you're headed. Niche bonus, the REWE at the nearby station has good opening hours and unlike most German supermarkets, is also open on Sundays too... Small bar was well stocked and breakfast a good continental buffet. Don't expect full cooked breakfast with an egg station, but was tasty and you won't go away hungry.

I guess it is the typical Holiday Inn experience. For 1-2 days could be considered, for more than that you may want to consider something more. To me it felt like a blunt/neutral experience, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
