Had such a wonderful experience here - we had some oysters and mussels with white wine and beer, and a creme brulee dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh, it was lovely quality seafood with perfect condiments and broth at value for money. The service was great too. Would definitely come back, the sharers look amazing to try

We were absolutely blown away by the evening we had at Native. Firstly, it’s a gorgeous restaurant & we were welcomed very warmly as soon as we arrived. The standard of service was incredible. I’ve forgotten his name, but your head host was brilliant - funny and informative, I really appreciated finding out how our meals were prepared. And that brings me onto the food itself. Wow. We’re so lucky to have such high quality fish served in Sheffield. The portions were great (particularly the monkfish - it was huge!) but it was the flavour that blew us away. Every dish was outstanding & well thought through. We loved the fact that a lot of dishes were specials - a testament to the seasonal, thoughtful menu. The wine menu was great, we loved the Cava & really appreciated the thought that went into creating such a complementary menu. Favourites were the oysters (obviously!), the octopus, the monkfish & the most amazing, show-stopping marmalade cake. Thank you for one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Sheffield.

Was recommend this place, and I'm do glad we listened . The food was brilliant, everything was so tasty. Loved the oysters and the lobster. The orange wine was delicious and the waiter really looked after us. Cant wait to go again.

Great atmosphere, great service, staff were really attentive. Open plan, meals are made right where you can see the lovely chefs. Clean restrooms 💯 Photos have been captioned, missed taking photos of the oysters and calamari and squid dish, was too keen to get in there. Oysters were properly shucked with not one shell anywhere, calamari and squid were made in some crispy batter served with mayonnaise. A nice bottle of white wine picked out by my friend, (he’s the wine connoisseur) I just drink (LOL). All in all, a lovely visit. £100+ for 2pax, pricey but worth it, considering it was a celebratory meal. Cheers Native! 👏🏽🥂

This was ny second visit . Great food , disappointed that when we arrived at 6.30pm only 1 portion of mussels left and 2 prawns, prime evening service at 6.30 pm should make sure you have these starters as probably the most popular on the menu. Food is very good. Don't agree with fact you have to pay for vegetables or salad as an extra side. But the food I had was enough and was absolutely beautiful .I had also paid a deposit of £40 to book online, I had to prove I had paid it.I advised you can't book a table online without paying, was then told well I can't prove you booked it on line. As there was no signal in the restaurant I had to go outside to log onto my Internet banking to prove I'd paid. Not the service I Expect. Other than that lovely food, staff are very attentive, and nice quirky restaurant.

We came in for dinner on a Thursday night, the food looked amazing and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant was very cold and we felt it was too cold to stay and dine so we left. We will be re-visiting in the future when it warms up though. Such a shame the owner won’t invest in his business further by adding additional heating, which is most definitely needed. Sorry to be posting this review, but feel a truthful experience would be beneficial to the business.

Superb! Our second visit and we had a lovely time. The oysters, olives and bread were very tasty and the fish platter was great, with 4 good portions of fresh fish and mussels. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff to begin with. What an amazing food, all is fresh. Most important thing I don’t have to travel to WHITBY to have my lobster & oyster. My husband had fish & chips he said it’s was delicious and fresh.

Sadly although the staff were very nice and the food was good we arrived on a Sunday without the info that it was a drastically reduced menu. The only fish main course was a lobster risotto. Combined price for a starter and main course was £26 which is fair enough. We asked if we could instead have three starters each - we did not realise, nor were we told that each starter was approximately £15! So with one bottle of white wine and one beer the bill came to £132. We were not given an itemised menu with prices as it was only on a blackboard. Very disappointing and slightly disingenuous. A good meal for £60-£80 but no where near value for money for £132 for two people. More transparency needed and necessary to put on web site the absence of a full menu on a Sunday. Only a Sunday roast and a veg alternative and a lobster risotto on a fish restaurant menu - come on! No fish available on a fish restaurant menu - it’s like something out of Monty Python. Cheese anyone? We would have loved to have gone back but this unfortunate lack of communication has put us off returning.

My partner and I have been eyeing up Native for a while and we decided to go for our anniversary, and it didn't disappoint! The interior and the atmosphere is fantastic, everyone we spoke to was lovely, and the food was faultless. It was absolutely delicious and one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Native is a true gem and we'll absolutely be returning :)

Excellent food, excellent service. I am told the fish dishes are superb, but they also provide this meat-eater with great meals too: Sunday lunch is my favourites😁 Prices are so reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Wonderful food accompanied by friendly and warm service. Accommodated for a shellfish allergy, and were very flexible on how the kitchen could substitute. It was super appreciated, and we'll definitely return.

Walked into a warm welcome. Staff was attentive. Menu specials board and menus a good range of choice. There’s fresh seafood in ice counter. I will be going back and I’d recommend this lovely seafood restaurant. Booked for Sunday lunch. 😊

Fantastic food, the specials board is like none other! Really different flavours and all 5 of us thought starters, mains and desserts were all individually excellent. The service needs a special shout out too, clearly very knowledgeable staff. Look forward to coming again and spreading the word.

Lovely staff, lovely real ales, lovely sea food, Seating arrangements were a bit odd as my wife and I sat in the middle of the room while 1 one person had a full corner to himself. For starters, I had scallops 4 for £16 My wife had octopus, 1 small tentical £15 For mains, I had the seafood platter (forgot its real name). i was told it also had crab but didn't get any £75. my wife had half a lobster and chips, which came with a small side salad .I think it cost £30-35. We shared a pidding, which was very nice £16 I think, I had 2 beers and my wife had 2 fizzy drinks, the bill came to £153+£20 deposit =£173 +£10 tip

One of the best dining experiences in Sheffield, brilliant service, relaxed atmosphere, fantastic cocktails and the finest fish/seafood you'll get in the city. A must-visit spot, particularly for the Japanese oysters ❤️

Fantastic, loved everything about the place, food outstanding, it's a fish restaurant but being vegetarian they made me such amazing vegetable dishes that I can't stop talking about, the rest of my family had the fish, which was excellent, the oysters were the talking point, staff are lovely and really looked after us, can't wait to go back,

The food was so good it made a man from Grimsby describe it as sublime. The fish was perfectly cooked, lovely wine selection and nice cocktails. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. All the staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back.

Really enjoyed our meal at Native last night . We were a party of 4. There’s a huge selection of fish starters and mains and really struggled to choose because there were at least half a dozen I wanted ! We all chose the hake main , fries and broccoli sides all of which were a triumph . We’ll definitely be back - loved it 🥰

Our second visit and it was even better than the first! Fabulous selection of fish & seafood dishes. The oysters were wonderful, yet again. The King prawns in chilli oil are to die for, only bettered by the focaccia to mop up the leftovers!! Staff are great, young, enthusiastic and very friendly. Native is most definitely our new favourite restaurant!

OMG! The octopus and mashed potato starter was delicious. Had crab and langoustine risotto for main. The place and the service was absolutely perfect! SmSinead with the gold rimmed glasses served us…so friendly and welcoming. Food was fab! Will be back! I recommend! Try it! Soooo good!
