Checked before we came that reviews state disable friendly however that wasn’t our experience They have crammed as many tables they can get in that you have to walk sideways to squeeze back to your table having hip displacia this caused extreme pain. Other than this the food was lovely an a fantastic array of choices. Just disappointed that we won’t be coming again because as good as the food was I just can’t take the pain

Booked two months in advance to ensure a table for my sons birthday on a Saturday Lunch sitting, it was busy but they were seating walk ins but it's better to book. I was contacted the week before to check that everything was as booked and I confirmed by clicking a link in the email which was a nice addition. We were checked in on arrival and shown to our table, the host on the counter by the door had seen that I had requested a booth as the seats are higher and being disabled it is easier to slide in and out and she was more than happy to accommodate us. A young waitress took our drinks order, we go for the bottomless soft drink option at 3.75 each, the glass isn't large but holds about a can of pop and a bit. We are asked if we know how cosmo works and having been to the Nottingham one we assume it's the same which she confirms. Off we trot to the warm plates sanitising our hands with the provided gel on the way. Our booking was for opening time and all food receptacles were full and all areas were very clean. The food selection was fantastic and they had more options than our last visit to Nottingham, one of our party started with the roast pork carvery which they said was fantastic, I went for a mix of Chinese with some sweet potato fries it was very nice, my only gripe was that the curry sauce was very watery and there was an oily layer on the top so I siphoned what I could and didn't have it again. I opted for the tikka masala curry on my second time around which was full of flavour and the naan was a welcome addition. Although there was a large selection of food on offer we were aware that at lunch times they tend to offer a reduced menu but the only items I didn't see were Crispy Duck and Burgers which we weren't fussed about at all as there was definitely more choice than we've had at Nottingham. Some 5 servings later and we were ready for dessert and again there was a large assortment of dishes available from slices of gateaux, jelly cubes, profiteroles, popcorn and fresh fruit, even the chocolate fountain was running which my son loved dipping marshmallows into, the only thing I didn't see in the dessert section was the ice cream machine but they did have small pots of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry if that is your sweet of choice. Paying was straightforward including half price for under 1.5m kids and we even managed to get a discount on the car park next door as an added bonus. One notable thing to mention was how clean and spacious the toilets were, they are located up a flight of stairs but there is a disabled toilet on the restaurant level if you can't manage the steps. We had a very enjoyable experience and even though the curry sauce was watery and nobody said bye as we left (my pet hate, I'm being picky) I give them a full 5 stars and we'll definitely be back when in Sheffield again.

Having visited Cosmo Sheffield many times previously before the refurbishment we have always very much enjoyed our time at Cosmo Sheffield. This time it was the worst experience ever why change something which is not broken i will never know? Great Decor lovely big TV that's about it tables are closer than ever so cannot move for been in peoples way. The staff are so bad and the chefs disappointing it's such a shame when previous staff were amazing even management were rubbish and most of the time all staff were stood around talking or trying to clear plates too quickly. There is only one lady who i can see which i remember she is so lovely and the best member of staff you have i always forget her name but she has ginger hair in a bob and wears glasses she always makes fun of us been from Leeds in a funny way. She is great if it wasn't for her the service would have been dreadful. The food most of it was cold, Dishes not replenished fast enough i like to eat my buffet food soup, starter, main meal, desert. The Chicken and sweetcorn soup was empty i asked twice and all i got was it will be out soon. I then went onto the starters there was 6 empty section i asked the English older gentleman who was too busy doing nothing he said don't worry you will get fed it will be out soon this guy is disgusting he has no manors and very rude! next up main meal well there was nothing most of the Chinese was empty there was no curry or satay sauce looks like that has been done away with and loads of other missing food the pizza was rock hard on the bottom and the top was uncooked. I've never experienced anything like it in my life next up no ice cream for the children even though it is still advertised on your website. Very disappointing the next part was the meal was for my 43rd birthday 19/10/1980 unfortunately i forgot my id and the women would not honor it very disappointed from a regular who eats here often. Nothing but bad words for this Cosmo now and left me very upset from somewhere which is normally amazing and you would have thought on the first day it would be the best but no very disappointed i hope it improves and what i have said has been taken on board. I spoke to the manager who was working that evening she was apologetic kept saying sorry but could not give me any answers or anything else she didn't seem interested.

Staff excellent, food hygiene excellent. Toilets great a bit old but clean and tidy soap had ran out in ont dispenser. Food quality was well stocked and only only few foods ran out for a few minutes, the cook for you bar was extremely busy but only a 10 minutes que. Plates run out quick but just wait a minute and staff bring them to you. Drinks delivery in minutes ones ordered by staff

First visit. Cool looking place which was soon moderately busy 30 minutes after opening. The Indian food section wasn't a little underwhelming in size and taste. Didn't bother with the American/British selection much. The Chinese side was very good overall. Two noodle trays were soon emptied after opening and weren't refilled the whole 90 minutes I was there. The dessert side was really poor. Freezer dry cakes and artificial gross slop. 2 hot dessert trays were empty. Ice cream machine was broken. I would probably go back but I don't like the city centre much.

First time my wife and I have visited this place.Arrived for our booking ( Saturday 6.00pm) with my daughter and her family, she has visited this place a few times and thinks its a great place. Its was very busy with some customers dashing around with plates piled high with stuff. The food looked well presented and various types of food available,my wife and I enjoyed our food👍.The place looked clean, tables cleared by the pleasant staff. To sum up our experience, my wife and I do not think it was value for money for us, but the food was very good and tasty.Give it a try for yourselves.PS we have been told that if you visit on your birthday the person eats for free 👍🤜🤛

Not my first time and certainly not my last. I’ve been going to cosmo restaurants for over 5 years now, and I recommend it to any foodie. It’s so fresh and tasty and the variety is just amazing, the staff are always nice, friendly and polite, and the prices are reasonable.

Attended today and never again. Thought it would be an easy option for a last minute meal. Looked quiet from the outside and as I struggle in busy places seemed a good option. Was seated in the middle of the aisle with people up and down and asked if I could be moved somewhere quieter due to my condition. I was told that I couldn't because there was two of us and all the tables were booked. There were empty tables everywhere! We got moved to the bottom but I don't see how I couldn't sit somewhere where I would be comfortable considering how quiet it was. Staff were not accommodating at all. One staff member even told me off for not putting the menu back in the holder correctly, felt like I was treated like a child. The food. The food is appalling, I went for three different plates and felt so wasteful as I couldn't eat what I picked. The meat was either rubbery or fatty. Everything else was clearly out of a bulk bought freezer bag. It was honestly disgusting. If you want to eat school canteen food absolutely go here and waste your money. £60 to be treated like a child and eat cheap over processed and terrible food. Photos attached of how 'busy' the area was that we couldn't be seated on the side

Went there for lunch after they have reopened. The new interior is nice, however the tables are so so close to each other you can pick from the plate of ur neighbour! The food is very low quality , no quality at all, everything is reheated and nothing is fresh and everything is cold!! Only fresh thing are the salads (from a supermarket packet not even rinsed once) + the lady making sushi there. Breaded scampi is a scampi flavoured paste in a coat, spaghetti bolognese hardly any meat and tasteless … pizza’s very bland and basic and Indian section in chicken only in different sauces that’s been reheated over and over. Nothing is special and food is dated and reheated ! … chocolate fountain doesn’t work when I asked he told me no it’s off, take it with the spoon! … Only good for kids to run around and have a bite of different food, terrible food quality, waste of money altogether … Never again …

The food is very fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant is clean and very well layed out. Disability access is good. Toilets, I only saw a upper floor acces via stairs. I don't know if there is lower floor toilets or a lift . 100% recommend this place and it is great for parties , family 👪 or couples. Prices are worth the quality of food

There's a handful of dishes that I personally would say are quality enough that I'd order anywhere else. But the ones that are good, are great. The tapanyaki bar with squid, scallops, prawns is great. (Quality of the steak, not so much) the char Sui pork was really good and who can say no to unlimited shredded duck with hoisin. (This photo was my last plate of just all the best bits haha)

Place is cramped. Left queueing in the door way when you are waiting for a table, becomes quite awkward when you are going in and out. Had two forms of chicken curry. Both curries the chicken was slightly pink. Had some other meat. Believe it was supposed to be pork and tasted nothing like it. Wouldn’t recommend the meats. Stay well away.

Some choices for vegetarians and vegans but choice are not clearly labelled. Often even the staff do not know what's vegetarian or vegan. Too many animal products. Nice desserts and puddings though

The buffet was amazing. I enjoyed the ribs, duck & pancakes, orange chicken, chicken wings and all the good stuff. Dessert was great, didn’t like the cheesecakes though, they were not flavorful in my opinion. Otherwise, it was worth every penny.

Over all good Asian food for fair price. Just Indian food was not even close to proper taste. Dessert selection was great but quality was very very very low. I will definitely go again and highly recommended

Food was really soso, or in another way trash. Service was okay considering how busy it was But definitely won't return! Also for the teppanyaki, they literally give you 3 prawn and one squid, asked the chef if i can have more and he said no, how is that all you can eat then? Everything were so salty as well, make you drink loads of water so you don't eat anymore loooiol

Had to ask for the food to be swept off the floor under our feet in booth number 1, when we were seated. No cutlery on the table. Had to get our own. Food was ok although the fish fingers (my Grandson had them) were solid. The place generally looks untidy and run down. Ladies toilets need attention. At £15.99 a head i expected a bit more. Used to love going here but wont be rushing back

I've been plenty of times before, but this is 1st time since it has been refurbished. Very nice restaurant, found myself gazing at the walls and ceiling alot. Luckily, we got a birthday discount and didn't have to pay for my 4 year old daughter. The food itself is average but the kids loved the idea that they can get up and grab a variety of food and mix whatever they wanted. And I will not lie. I do love the thin noodles they do. The chocolate fountain was broke when we went. Toilets are very nice and have a futuristic look. Don't think you can go wrong with cosmos to be honest the food is not amazing but does taste nice to eat.

Great place to indulge and dine with variety of food to choose . The staff was the best in my experience.they accept us although we arrived late and were very helpful . There are bigger cosmos in other cities with lot more different food but this one also has great selection for any human . Their Chinese selection was enough for me . I would recommend it anyone .

We had dinner today, the place was great, we didn't reserve, although they provided tables within 40 minutes, The food was yummy many options available Indian, Chinese, sushi and desert My favourites were sushi, egg fried rice, chicken tikka, noodles, samosas, spring rolls, cheese pasta and unmistakably deserts more than the food I love this girl's Jacy and Su Thazin Myint, they are so sweet and patient whole time, this place is quite crowded but they helped us within seconds. Su Thazin Myint made our experience here outstanding! When we come back we hope you take care of us again because we were so impressed at how well you did your job! So many positive vibes because of them. Thank you so much Cosmo for hiring them and I can confirm that I will be back because of them thank you for making my day special with your bright smiles and hope this business grows more😊

Brilliant concept. Like being at an all inclusive hotel buffet. So much variety to choose from. Great value for money and good for all the family. My old view of all you can eat buffet restaurants has been changed. Food was actually tasty and very well presented. Super busy so if you're a large party, be sure to book!

Took a friend for her birthday. She loved it. Great choice and quality of food and service. Though the bathroom floors seemed sticky and there was no soap with the sink. Luckily I had hand sanitiser with me!

  • 3/5 Nazo A. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome food as usual. Been going for years. Only reason I gave a 3 star is the parents that go with their kids don't supervise them at the dessert table and they dig their fingers into the sweets and marshmallows instead of using the provided utensils. Proper grossed me out and meant that whenever i go there I don't touch the dessert at all. Other than that, love the place.

  • 4/5 Alan G. 1 year ago on Google
I'm not giving a five star but only because there are things that could be improved (five star to me is almost perfect). Let's start with the positives: great selection of food, good quality of food (except for the Japanese selection), nice air-conditioned place, no silly £3 per 200ml drink charge (it's a one time drink as much as you comfortably can charge), friendly staff, and a convenient location. Things that could be improved: the Japanese selection, the ice cream, more pizza variety, and bigger glasses. There are no negatives. Highly recommended for its superb selection of dishes at a really good quality.

The food is great.i think they have a great selection and it's clean. However, I still don't understand why they charged my 20 month old 2.99 pounds and charged us service fee of 5 pounds. We were 4 adults, two kids and an infant and I don't understand why an infant was charged.

Like eat at cosmo as price are good for food u getting. Almost most food is warm and not to bad taste sometimes they could more frequently change food between. Men's toilets it mostly is shocking to go smell bad or is broken with make im not go back so often what make me disappointed about it. Service is not bad but sometimes can be frustrating.

Extremely busy, dining area was very cramped and our table was right next to drink dispensers so had ques of people stood next to our table while trying to eat. Food area is alot smaller than doncaster one and hardly anyone was wearing a mask while up getting food. Also small children running around both dining area and food area which was very dangerous when it was so busy. Will not be visiting Sheffield one again Doncaster is so much better
