Lighting of the place and the atmosphere is amazing for a dinner. Good hospitality and friendly staff. Foods are delicious and standard. Pizza really tastes good.But not the prawn one.

We have been regular customers of this venue until we figured it out how the bar manager is capable of understanding customer relations. The venue has a great ambiance and good food however, run with old-minded management. Knowledge of the bar industry is key. Comprehension of industry standards, best practices, and suppliers should be second nature to any good bar manager, of which Sugar 41, is nothing close to. Too pity that such lovely ambiance can easily be ruined by a manager who doesn’t know anything about customer relationship management 101!

I recently visited Kava Island Bar night club, and my experience was mixed. The venue had a lively and energetic atmosphere, with a good selection of music that kept the crowd entertained. The dance floor was decently sized and allowed for some fun dancing. However, there were a few downsides. The drink prices were a bit on the higher side, and the service at the bar was somewhat slow, especially during peak hours. The club’s lighting and decor could use some improvement to create a more captivating ambiance. Overall, Kava Island Bar night club is a decent option if you’re looking for a night out with friends and enjoy dancing, but it may not be the best choice if you’re on a tight budget or looking for a more upscale nightclub experience.

Cocktails and vibe on point. The only place in Colombo we head to almost every weekend. Great crowd compared to other bars and clubs in colombo. Good for a sit down dinner and grooves for later.

Great spot for afternoon drinks. Bit on the pricey side for Colombo but it is sure worth it. Gets crowded and turns into a mini night club in the night so go there before these terrible things happen

KAVA Island Bar provided an alright experience. The venue had a lively atmosphere with vibrant lights and a diverse crowd. The music selection was decent, catering to various tastes. However, the service was a bit slow, and the drinks were average. Overall, a decent spot for a casual night out, but not exceptional.

Chilled out place. Prices are slightly high. But we had some good cocktails. Food was really tasty. Very nice atmosphere.

The place has a stunning view and the environment is so natural but the service is hell bad though.

Received a very good welcome. Visit the place around 10pm as there’s a bit of a crowd or else it’ll be a bit quite. Happy hour offers are excellent, specially on the cocktails and beautifully presented. Drinks were marvellous but felt like there was not enough alcohol in the cocktails. Finger food portions are average but top notch. Dark yet beautifully designed interior and also has an outdoor seating area.

Well. Really recommend this place for young crowd. Opens until 3 am. Free entrance. Reasonable rates. Very calm environment. Good stuffs.

Fabulous place

One of the go to places if you are looking for Colombo Night Life, once you go there you won’t ever feel Sri Lanka in a economic crisis ( fun fact ). Great variety of cocktails and very friendly staff specially the bouncers. Awesome vibe and good crowd as well. YOLO

Very chilled roof top bar, bringing a new vibe to Colombo nightlife. Bar and menu priced about right for the surrounding and defiantly a place to hangout, then get partying once you have had a few drinks.

Really yummy food, their side dish option would be sweet potatoes instead of French fries. Love the set up and quality of food, potion size is quite big, specially love the tacos. 4 stars because the cocktails are not as good and menu variety is limited.

Although it can get a little cramped in here and the dancing space is way too small , it's a good place to hangout dance and get your pre drinks before heading out to explore colombo. The outside seating is recommended considering there is no rain though.

Great cocktail and foods. There bar menu has this cool named local cocktail and I particularly loved this one called “Gahuwoth Gahanawa”. 🤟🏽🤟🏽 About foods, I ordered a pizza and it turned one of best, yummiest and juiced pizza with generous load of cheese. 🍕 Mr Bartender, also have been super nice attentive. Started this new year here, it was fun, music was good, vibe was excellent.

Formerly Sugar Bistro, they've really done wonders with the place. Super chill vibe and decor. The Donuts are a must have!!

Bar has good atmosphere. The food was tasty, but portions were quite small. The beer was not cold and we were charged 600 rupees for a small can of lion beer, which we found expensive compared to other places we visited.

The food, service and drinks were really good. I had a piña colada and i really loved it the only thing is that entrance is not really well lit up and you have to go up a lot of stairs becuase when I went the elevator was broken

On Tuesdays don't go there if you are not a salsa dancer.. that's the only music they play whole night n it gets boring after some times.. n the drinks are bit too pricey

Good & Happening place. But the issue is with the space. tiny. If you want to have fun and looking some happening place on friday night, this is the place you should go.

1st impression was good but the 2nd visit was bloody terrible. We were told that all drinks are on 50% off during happy hour prior to ordering. Then we ordered a vodka and some shots along with cocktails. A moment later we were told that the bottle is off of the 50 off offer and we were fine and after another moment later sane was told about the shots. Leaving only cocktails on 50% off. There afterwards the waiter was telling all that he can to make us buy the bottle and when we refused. Good place to hang during a sunset though. 1st visit was splendid. Though expensive

There is a pool parlour too ryt up, it's such well place to go chill out with ur friends. Customer service is good.

very bad place and had a very bad experience . I had bottle bank and today i went there with three girls and three boys they said its crowded and gave our bottles to outside by saying have it. Somewhere else. And they slip the bottle and we had to bear the rest. New staf is very bad. Dont recommend this placw

Reviewing this in the perspective of a club / night life place Music is mostly RnB,pop and a mix of new house tracks but the DJs are pretty solid Drinks priced as any other place in town but if you drink mindfully it's alright Place gets damn crowded on fridays and Saturdays to a point that you can't chill a bit Vibes are good but not as a club
