One of my favorite new cafe shops. The places oozes character, charm, and good vibes. I had to get my car repaired so I ended up here for hours. It is every kind of nerd’s paradise from comic books, movies, and literature. Also, their list of events look amazing. They have stand up night so I have to come back to check out. Throughly enjoyed the music and atmosphere so I will come back very soon 👍

Mutiny Information Cafe is a unique and eclectic place that has all kinds of stuff, from comic books and books in general to records and VHS movies. The shop supports local authors and artists. Coffee and food are available for purchase. I saw at least one gluten-free option. One of the two owners suffered a near-death heart attack, the store has recently been vandalized, and it has undergone some financial hardship. I recommend visiting and supporting this local cafe.

Everytime I go here, I am always impressed on how I am treated like. Normal person. Plus there are all the wonderful shopping, comic books, books, art, and etc.

It was tough to find things to do late Sunday. It was my daughters 11th birthday. She enjoyed a bowl of Trix while educating her dad on chess gambits. Explored the comic books and decor. Friendly, inviting staff and patrons. Bitchin’ soundtrack

One of Denver’s greatest assets, this spot and its proprietors are the real thing. In a world where most stuff means so much less and nothing is rebellious, respectful, brave, welcoming, and exciting, Mutiny is the destination you should seek. A spectacular trove of new comics, used books and music, coffee, tea and legit atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough. Find it, cherish it, and then tell the rest of the world.

ND folks with sensory issues, be warned. Seems like a cool enough spot. Was treated well initially. Food and drink were good. Reasonably priced. But it was a sensory nightmare with the super loud music, the pinball machine going nonstop, and people trying to talk to each other over said music. When I inquired if they had sensory friendly hours, the people were completely dismissive.

Super cool book store to visit. I didn’t try the coffee, but the prices for drinks, books, and everything else was pretty standard. They even have a local artists section and a cat that roams around the store. Highly recommend stopping in!

This place reminded me of 1992. Comics, LPs, cassettes, used books, coffee, weird kitch, wood floors, free box, local natives, employed nerds, killer vibes, acceptance, and cake. That about covers it. If I lived there I'd regularly be going there to get stuff to put in my house.

Cool music, book and coffee / drinks store with ample space to explore, sit and read or even play pinball games. Vinyl, cassettes, posters, pins, patches and more for all music lovers. Definitely worth a visit as you never know what you may find here.

Amazing book/comic/little odds and ends store with friendly staff and great coffee! You can get art and books from local artists and they really promote the local artists! Definitely a must see if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed! They also play Mobb Deep as background music, so you already know it's the place to be. FOR REAL 🤠

This is an amazing place to get sucked into comics, books, coffee and more. I was there to perform magic with some of my friends in magic but I look forward to hanging out before and after and sample some drinks and eats. Plus it never hurts to pick up a book or two that sadly I’ll probably never finish. Highly recommended.

This might be one of the coolest shops I've ever visited. They sell books, vinyl, comics and accompanying accoutrement, as well as coffee. While I was there they had a horror poetry reading, and the whole thing was overseen by the shops cat. What a place.

The black cat was cool. And they have some pretty offbeat things here. One big shelf of comic books... really hit or miss on continuity though. Low rating because store is dimly lit and the person working turned off the lamp lighting the shelf I was looking at. I had books in my hand and was obviously buying things... I guess it doesn't matter though. It was hours before their posted 10pm close time.

Really cool spot. You can't really go in there planning to get something specific, you just gotta kind of wander in and see what hidden treasures are on the shelf on any given day. They've got some cool tabletop gaming stuff, indie comic books, regular books (including a whole section dedicated to the City of Denver), and vinyl records.

Cafe w/ cereal by the bowl, used books and records, coolest stickers, usually fun throwback music playing, great location, friendly staff, and for a book shop generally late hours which I appreciate, esp. bc there are areas to get some work done/read your own books or your new ones all throughout. worthwhile hole in the wall on broadway to check out !

Truly a Denver staple- this cafe is a deeply rooted support system for both the creative and activist communities. The espresso and specialty drinks are great- but really you’re going for the collective of books, comics, and local performance art. I spent handfuls of winter nights in 2021 at the front window counter with a purchased pot of tea- trying to work on making major life changes from my laptop. The events at the back of the cafe (bombing comedians trying their best, D&D group meet ups, musicians, poets) were all soundtracks to this progress for me. The staff is always kind and engaging- you can tell they enjoy what they do. This is an establishment I am continually very grateful for and I’ll continue to support & recommend a visit to anyone who asks about spots to see in Denver. P.S. Be respectful of the house cat that meanders around- I’ve heard she’s feisty sometimes. She might offer you a side quest if you purchase enough Mutiny Loot.

I could have spent all day there. I ended up buying two Allen Ginsberg books that I hadn't seen before. Great collection of books, comics, and manga. I loved the whole atmosphere. Staff was super friendly too

Absolutely love the amazing variety of books and collectibles that Mutiny has to offer. Especially the section of local comic artists, writers and poets. Staff is super friendly too! Found a rare book and when I went up to check out I got a little discount to boot! Places like this are essential to community and just making life good in general.

This was my favorite place when I lived in Denver. The vibes are immaculate. Homey, down to earth, not pretentious. The hot drinks are HOT -- how they should be. And the books, chess, records and comics are great touches to make you wanna hang out all day, which is great because they're open till 9 PM most days (used to be 1 AM too). I will always love Mutiny. Was my home away from home for 2 years.

Mutiny is one of my favorite used book store and coffee place in Denver. Their staff is always super friendly. They have loads of great, gently used books to purchase, comic books, and even pinball machines!! They do live music, poetry and other small events in the evenings. If you are looking to have a great cup of coffee and a snack, they have that, too!

Denver’s uncut gem for culture, comics, and music. Get some coffee and dig through some books or vinyl. Open mic nights throughout the week. And one of the last 1-2$ comic bins in Colorado. I love this Never-Say-Die store on the corner of Broadway and Ellsworth, and their little black cat. Use the Photo Booth, tip the staff! This place gives the community substance.

I love this place! The food and drinks are awesome and so is the service! There is a book store cat, that is so lovely and makes everyone feel welcome! This is my new favorite place!

Would love it if there were actually places for multiple people to sit and enjoy the space. The coffee I ordered was definitely solid, but the café aspect was lacking as there was no place to sit and enjoy the coffee, so after a lap of the shop I just left, where I would have otherwise liked to purchase something to read and hangout for a while longer. Definitely missing the café mark, but cool shop nonetheless.

Interesting shop. I got a Thai ice tea and my honey got an ice coffee, mine was better then his. They also had a comic con event behind the store the week I went. Popular area for walking and shopping.

My partner's and my favorite place to go. The staff are great. If you're into comics make sure to see Professor. They have a lot of cool stuff and host cool events frequently. We're always dragging friends to check it out because it's such a neat spot.
