UPDATE.......The absolute best corned beef on rye we've ever had. It melts like butter. DON'T leave without the double chocolate cake. DON'T. Friendly family owns this incredible piece of heaven. Do yourself a favor and GO if you are anywhere near the D. My new favorite beeline when we come from Texas. Back again in the D for October. Can't leave Michigan without this stop. We got the Club, Large Corned Beef on Rye and went away with a huge hunk of the German Chocolate Cake as the double chocolate cake was SOLD OUT! I don't have a photo of the cake because we literally inhaled it! Thanks for hooking us up D Motown Deli.....bring the food truck down to Texas sometime....there is nothing like it down here!

In my opinion, this spot serves the finest corned beef in the D. It's pleasantly balanced in terms of saltiness, and the meat is wonderfully tender and juicy. You have the freedom to choose your portion size; I opted for a medium sandwich. For a glimpse of their enormous sandwiches, check out their Instagram page. Additionally, they offer a delectable array of side dishes and delightful desserts. The vibe of this spot is chilled and courteous. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment; it's worth experiencing for yourself! This location is takeout only. I suggest placing your order in advance by phone. Please note that this place is not geared towards vegans or those seeking ultra-healthy options.

The sandwiches are simply Delicious. I'm in love with Corn Beef Egg Rolls. This place is a must-try when in Detroit.

It was not that good. The cornbeef was cut too thick and it was very dry. It's not as big as it's advertised. Don't believe the hype. If I could do 0 stars I would. Reply to your comment Al. When I go to bread basket. I get corn beef, plain on onion roll, ITS JUICY AND a NICE SIZE. This was a large for $13.77. You don't need condiments on a sandwich to make it JUICY. Also, at bread basket I don't have to ask for it to be cut thin it's already that way. Oh it won't be no next time.

D. Motown Deli rocks! The corned beef egg rolls hit the spot. The corned beef sandwich was so]pot on as well. The staff were awesome and stayed late so we could get some food.

I’m a trucker out of Chicago. Was waiting on my load to be ready so i asked some of the workers for a good place to eat. Unanimously from every single one of them, they said Motown Deli. They were not exaggerating one bit. When i walked in i was greeted by a very kind young husband and wife behind the counter. The establishment was flawlessly clean, the service was A++! The food was out of this world! They also have home made cakes which the husband makes that are just phenomenal! If all of this wasn’t enough, the entire family was good looking too! In all seriousness, just a great experience, great food and great people.

I saw these videos on Instagram, and I had been saying, "I'm going to have to go and try that place!" BABY!!!! If you are able to, you must give them a try. I drove from Canton all the way to E Detroit to get mine, with some strawberry cheesecake. 🤤🤤🤤 That is surely a drive worth taking again! I'll be back with a couple of folks to try it as well. That XL Corned Beef on Texas Toast is no joke! Plus, those 2 huge slices of cheesecake!🥴 I split 1 half of the sandwich with my 10 year old daughter, and we're saving the other half for lunch tomorrow. I was planning on giving the other half to my hubby, but he will never know that sandwich is in the fridge!🤣 I did get him a slice of the cheesecake as well, though. He'll get to try the sandwich next time!🤗 Best Corned Beef sandwich I've had since Mr. Fofo's Deli went downhill over 20 years ago. I've been waiting on another spot since then. 💡FOUND IT!

Ordered the Reuben, and French fries, the corned beef is mouth watering. The fries are perfect, not too thin or thick. One person did the order, cooking and cash out, tip her well. Next time getting same but adding deviled eggs, banana pudding and any one of the home made cakes, there are a lot!

Literally the best corned beef sandwich I have ever eaten. The corned beef melted in my mouth. I don't mean that as an expression either---it literally melted in my mouth. No deli sliced corned beef here. This is straight up cut brisket. Got mine on grilled rye. The best CBS in Michigan period.

One of my favorite go to. I love the owner and her family. They always make me feel like they are happy to see me. Not many places I go to on a regular let me know I’m noticed that I’m a regular. I normally just go to places for what they are known for, like they corn beef sandwiches. The corn beef is definitely #1 however you like it. One day I took the time to go over the menu and ordered something different. It was great and I wouldn’t mind trying other food on the menu. Let’s not forget about the KOOL AID 🤤!! Lol, I don’t need to say more if you haven’t been here add it to must try!! ❤️✌🏾

I have been coming to D Motown for years and have never been disappointed. Everything they serve is excellent, especially their corned beef and pastrami sandwiches! Also loving the Cakes they have been making lately! Definitely a must try stop in the city!

Got pastrami and corned beef sandwich were both fabulous..I've been following them on Instagram for a long time..finally glad I was able to stop on my way home to Alabama. The meat was so tender and you could taste the smoke flavor..very Detroit place and Vibe..

This is absolutely by far the best corn beef that you can ever get in the state of Michigan. I’ve been going here for many years and I’ve never been disappointed. I love the family that works there. The owner and her family are beautiful. The service is excellent the best corn beef sandwiches, the egg rolls, the homemade soups the whole menu is excellent best ever in the state of Michigan probably in the whole United States of America and I’m so serious that is not exaggerating. The corn beef is so tender you don’t even have to chew it just melts in your mouth, it’s the best. Love you guys.

1st time visiting location and I was impressed with the corn-beef sandwich. I normally go to Coney Island by skating land when I have taste for corn- beef but this has just became my new go-to.

All I can say is WOW, if you like grilled corn beef sandwiches this is the place to go. They always seem to be busy when we go but we'll worth the wait. Also had the deep fried mushrooms and they were excellent. We live 40 min away and it is well worth the drive.
