Excellent restaurant near Downtown Michigan to dine in. itโ€™s close to the river front. Friendly servers and excellent ambience for family dinner/ gatherings. They provide complimentary bread prior to your orders. We ordered the Shrimp Jambalaya & Shrimp Sandwich. It was delicious & weโ€™ll surely visit again. Must try place๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿฝ

The service was great, especially because we came close to closing time (arrived at 830p, doors locked at 930p) with a party of 8. The food was overall fantastic. My grits were a bit dryer than I imagined, for my shrimp and grits dinner but the kick of the sauce was nice ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ. My Husband's Lamb chops were cooked perfectly. We WILL be returning for a family gathering when possible!

I believe my waitress's name was Colleena, and she was excellent. Very kind and made great suggestions. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, as I live out of town. She was very patient and took her time to explain a few dishes to me. Her kindness stuck out to me and I hope that the owners realize the gem that they have. The food was excellent and I left very happy. The atmosphere was also really cool!

I started getting lunch from here because its convenient and close to my job since some restaurants are closed or open later now. Never had an issue with anything. Today I mistakenly ordered shrimp cocktail for $17. Four pieces of shrimp for $17 is ridiculous! There was no description on the online website of how many shrimp come in the shrimp cocktail. Obviously Iโ€™m not eating 4 shrimp for $17 so I called them and I asked if I could get something else or just get a refund because I no longer wanted the shrimp. The container of food was never opened but the manager refused to let me get something else or get a refund even though I didnโ€™t want the food or even open it once I saw it was four shrimp.

1st time being in The Motor City and Fishbone's is a MUST STOP! I had the Chef's Chowder and when I tell you it was just the right amount of flavor...yum! I also ordered the Chicken Pasta and I was stuffed. Our waiter Kiara was new and very helpful and mindful to our table. Great experience

This is my first time visiting Fishbone's, and I can see why it is a classic Detroit institution. Unfortunately, most of it was closed because of COVID. It would have been so fun to be able to sit in the center area with the waterfall coming down. The wait staff were very nice and accommodating, however. We ordered the classic saginaki and they promptly lit it on fire. It was tasty because it's basically melted cheese. I would stick to the soul food on the menu. I tried a sushi roll just to try it, but they should really stick to one type of cuisine.

We had an early dinner here after a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed. I had the Faroe Island salmon and my husband had the grilled salmon salad. Both of them were delicious. And our service was excellent. If we lived here we would definitely return.

Food at Fishbone's is great! The atmosphere is positive, and our server was attentive and had an impressive memory( took multiple menu orders and did not write anything down. "Daniel" got orders right, too.) The server was thoughtful enough to let me know about the automatic tip built in with price. I was glad to know about automatic tip on the front-end... The menu prices are a bit high, but there are reasonable price options as well. The Jambalaya with chicken and sausage did it for me - so delicious! For those global travelers out there, if you happen to be visiting USA Detroit, put Fishbone's on your list. It is located in a prime area called "Greek Town".

Fishbones is a great place to Dine in. The food was very fresh and came out piping hot. Excellent Customer Service!!! I haven't had a meal here in years. Sidebar: I even had the opportunity to meet & take a pic with the famous Bobby Brown of New Edition. Right here at Fishbones so it was definitely super nice. #3/6/22โœ…๏ธ๐ŸŽˆโญ๐Ÿ‘‘

I grew up in Louisiana so whenever I sample anything that is from the state or represents the state I'm usually judging anything thats outside of the state. With that being said fishbone was remarkable from the service, to the drinks, and the delicious food! I enjoyed dinner with friends and everything was great even with them being very busy, my expectations were exceeded!

Beautiful place. but it was a few things that I didn't like, the lobster tails had a funny smell to it. I feel they overcharged me for the lobster tails and the waiter have nerve to put her tip on my receipt paper. How she going to tell me what I'm supposed to give her.

The food at this restaurant was mostly salty. It took over 30 minutes for the food to come out, even though there weren't many servings. The portions weren't large and the steak was salty and not cooked to rare, even though I asked for medium. The best part of the meal was the coke.

I loved the look of this place!! the fish tank was so pretty I had to get a picture. This was my first having New Orleans food that tasted authentic! I really enjoyed myself. I ordered a hurricane and the Catfish with Crawfish Etoufee to go. My food was very good, i wish it were spicier but that's a personal preference. I would definitely order this again!

This was an amazing experience. The Pasta Orleans was by far the best pasta I have ever had. My waitress Samantha was awesome and very helpful with the menu. This was a great end to my hectic day. Alligator Voodoo was cooked perfectly. The J Lohr Cabernet she suggested was a perfect pairing. Overall, the atmosphere was very laid back. Beautiful place. Great evening. Kansas doesn't have anything remotely close to something of this caliber.

Wow. I mean, I don't really know what to say. The emotions are so mixed. Really it was just our server was having such a hard time and we're pretty sure our order got dropped completely. First we got bread, which was so good, but the two little ramekins of butter turned out to be ranch dressing. We all kinda tasted it before deciding that's probably not compound butter. We told the server and she seemed horrified, but then she told us a story about how "they were out of butter and the other server says to just get it out of the fridge, so I just reached in and grabbed that on accident". After about an hour our little table of four including two kids finally got our food and it was cold. It was tasty though.

Crab stuffed shrimp was good but the tuna steak was cooked completely inconsistent. We asked to send it back and instead they just took it off our bill. We also never got bread like all the other tables and the waiter left us with empty glasses most of the night. That being said, there's an excellent bakery down the street when you leave here hungry....

My dinner here was great. The fried alligator was incredible. The orange roughy was perfect. The sides and special sauce so very tasty. My server was absolutely outstanding. The only issue is, I wanted to go back. The second night I tried there was an hour+ wait, long line. Ok, popular, no problem. The third visit there was no line but we were greeted what we all 3 felt was very rudely. While there was no line we were told they were full up. "No, no, no!". We were told 25 minutes or more, but the way we were told scratched this off the list. The 3 of us left and felt like we're just were not wanted there. Very disappointing.

Everything was hot, fresh & delicious. I went Monday September 4, 2023 (Labor day) at 8:30p. I sat at the bar w/ my partner. The place was pretty slow. The bartender was kind & very helpful. We even ordered sushi togo. My was really good and flavorful. It just wasnโ€™t as spicy as I wanted. My love adored his Chicken Pasta Orleans. && babyyy that Alligator Voodoo was so fresh & powerful!

We had a good meal. The sushi was pretty good and my husband had a catfish poh-boy that he enjoyed very much. Very nice atmosphere and service was good. I'm not sure I'd return with so many other offerings around Greektown.

Very good food. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Delicious! We shared our dinner which was Pasta Orleans which had crawfish and shrimp and the Pasta Orleans/chicken. They were so delicious, I can't say enough!

First time there. I will be back. Atmosphere was great. Good even better. We had a large party. Took a little bit longer to get everyone meals. Thatโ€™s ok because food was good. Park in front of restaurant. Cost 10$. Not bad !

Iโ€™ve been here multiple times and Iโ€™ve loved it every time. One of my favorite restaurants in the city. The jambalaya is excellent, Iโ€™ve also had the char grilled chicken and loved that as well. Very fair pricing for the quality and amount of food. You gotta stop in and check this place out. Great Cajun style food. They also have a sushi bar, which Iโ€™m excited to try.

Visiting Detroit for the first time and a fellow coworker suggested this place. Nice restaurant specially for cajun new Orleans style dishes in the heart of downtown Detroit. They serve some hot fresh bread and butter as your complimentary appetizer to get you going . I got the crawfish etouffee which was delicious and super filling. Give this restaurant a try yโ€™all!!
