The food was fantastic, and the service was good. Be prepared to pay 20% gratuity on all parties larger than one see receipt. I had the chicken and waffles, and it was lightly breaded and delicious. The wife had a beet omelet; yes, it sounds weird, but it was flavorful. A minor issue is the restaurant could use a good cleaning; very dusty, and not appealing, and the environment is loud with a full house.

Went today around lunch time while downtown Birmingham. The waiter we had Jameson was great! Although we had some small mishaps with my wifes order he fixed them or made accommodations quick. I ordered the Gingerman French toast with no whipped cream, scrambled eggs, and the bacon fried rice. The French Toast was thick and the cooked apples made them pop with flavor. It also had pecans witch added some crispy elements. Eggs were perfect and the bacon rice was different but really worked. I enjoyed it and we had a great waiter. 1st time and we will be back

Our server was fantastic and so was the food and our drinks. If I’m ever back in the area, I’m just going to order 10 strawberry shortcake pancakes to go and eat them until I can’t anymore. Sooooo good.

The host was pleasant and the service was okay. We were never asked, " How's the food". The food presentation was good. Had the Sprout bowl with scrambled eggs. I was expecting vinegar but nothing in the bowl escaped the vinegar including the eggs. My guests meal was okay. We both left saying to each other that we would pass on this location in the future. I have had much better meals at the other Toast location. This location has Birmingham prices and an extra charge for service. Other locations may have the same service charge. If you like people watching Birmingham offers up some interesting views.

Great indoor outdoor brunch place with variety of options to choose from. I got the Nova egg breakfast and was great with the bacon fried rice.

I love going to Toast for breakfast. Each of them are so unique but all have good service. Birmingham has cool outdoor seating.

Great atmosphere. Busy, so plan accordingly. Food is decent, portion sizes are smaller for the cost. Prices are fair for the area. Jamison provided great service!

Lovely little place to have a brunch in downtown Birmingham. Food was very good and looked great as well. From the kids meal of French toast to omeletes of all kinds it was good. The service was attentive and helpful. Good for people accross from the park and The Towsend. Relax and have fun. Street parking or just your downtown parking issues.

I’ve been here numerous times, it’s close by so it’s convenient for brunch. The food is usually not bad, my favorite meal I’ve had here was probably the avocado toast. The classic two eggs any style breakfast was kind of bland, everything was pretty dry, so I probably wouldn’t get that again. The atmosphere is very unique and busy, but very cool! The service honestly has never really impressed me, I haven’t left remembering one of the servers names or having connected with one of them. Not bad service, just nothing special. It’s worth the trip if you’re in the area, not a bad brunch spot.

Most delicious vegan options, most beautiful presentation, most fabulous host and servers, the fluffiest and healthiest bread selection, on top of a well designed interior, stop by and enjoy

The Birmingham location is top tier! Plenty of outside seating for people watching while eating. My waitress and hostess were amazing! I can't say enough about there service. I do believe Iris or Isis was my waitress name. The home fries were delicious, I added cheese and onions for an extra kick! Turkey sausage patties were the perfect size. The banana nutella belgian waffles were good and sweet. Perfect compliment to the sides. I got the passion fruit mojito. More champagne than the other options as an fyi to anyone! The right amount of fruitiness with bubbly. I'll definitely be back!

Toast is such a cute brunch spot in Birmingham. It has quality food and a large menu that it makes it easy for anyone to find something they’ll like (especially if you have dietary restrictions). The few things that keep me from giving Toast 5 stars is the added 20% gratuity, poor service, and menus that showed the pre-Covid price increases to the current prices. I truly understand raising prices, however it was definitely unfortunate that the menus weren’t all changed to the new prices. It left my table with a sour taste in our mouth has we compared the $1-3 price differences between the prior menu and our current one. The other issue was the service and the required gratuity. Our server and the hostess staff were not extremely friendly or willing to go out of their way to ensure we had a good experience. While there’s no guarantee, I firmly believe the restaurants required 20% gratuity for all in-person parties leaves the waitstaff feeling like they do not need to go out of there way. The service was not worthy of a mandated 20% tip as we had to flag our waitress down to order our food, fix missing items from our order, and ask for the check. The food at toast is amazing which makes this review difficult. Without the mandated tip and the differently priced menus, I think we would’ve felt better about our brunch choice.

First time and having breakfast, very nice plate presentation, fresh. They have very unique gourmet omelets. Definitely want to go back and try and another one.

You pay for what you get. The coffee is really good, but it's about $10 for an iced coffee. But the dishes are amazing and I'll definitely plan on going again next time I'm in town!

Visited again after five years or so. I know it’s in downtown Birmingham… but everything is sooooo expensive now! The food is meh, but the atmosphere is good, which is what attracts people. We stared at the menu for a really long time probably because nothing seemed very appealing. Had eggs Benedict, nothing special but don’t get Parmesan cheese oat or whatever it’s called……. Everyone disliked it. It’s a cute place to go for a date but for food? Definitely not :(

This is a fun brunch spot right in the middle of downtown Birmingham. They have indoor and outdoor seating - definitely recommend outdoor seating when weather allows. The inside does have spaces with lots of natural lighting but nothing beats outdoor seating and seeing everything happening around. We ordered the Plain jane french toast & bacon and Trashy hashy & english muffin. It was plenty of flavor with good portion sizes and came out quick. They also have good drinks, especially the mimosas. The servers were also very nice and attentive which you don’t always get when there’s an automatic gratuity (20% here). For parking you may luck up with street parking but there are also parking structures within walking distance.

Good vibes only at this beautiful brunch place in the most iconic city - Birmingham! Good ambience and feel good place. All the servers are amazing with good service. A must visit place in Birmingham for good food options. Only thing off about the brunch was the vegan scrambled item, this was a big no no. Did not taste good at all.

Went here on a Sunday Morning and had a great time. Our server was very friendly. The venue was quirky and memorable. I very much enjoyed the Elvis Breakfast. While overall pricey, I would recommend checking this one out.

The ambience was good. Drinks we ordered were the guava and passion fruit mimosa. The gauva mimosa was slightly stronger than the passion fruit. For food we ordered breakfast burrito . It was so well done and delicious . It’s a must try place for brunch

Great vibe, ambience, staff. Went for bfast and the menu was impressive. I asked our enthusiastic waitress if I should have the parisian omlette or huevos. Without thinking, she replied, " huevos are much more exciting." I ordered and they were exciting and delicious with mounds of avocado, beans and all else that goes with it. I'm happily stuffed. Coffee prices, however, were ridiculously high. French Press for 2 was $13 and tea was $4.50. Without taking that into consideration, a definite great way to start the morning.

Waiter was great. Place was cool. Food was fine but overall over priced for what it is. Chicken and a waffle $20. Cinnamon roll $9 and it's normal sized. My cappuccino was $7. So $36 just for my order! I mean I understand inflation and all but even still that's a bit much. Wife got Texas hash and it would have been better sans all the cheese that was over whelming. Definitely worth checking out, but don't expect the food to blow you away.

Overall, very cute place. Think we came at a busy time, Saturday at 2pm. I wanted a lot of sweet breakfast options, like pancakes and waffles, but there’s only two options for each, one being a seasonal option, and the other just plain. I would recommend this place to people who want savory breakfast options. The food looked very good, and maybe it was just the meal I got but it wasn’t that flavorful.

The restaurant is very unique in style, the red seats, the colors and the decor make the ambiance either festive, elegant or even for a romantic date ❤️. But I must say for breakfast that Chicken and waffle was delicious, crispy flavored chicken and tasty waffles but the best part was the amazing potatoes!!!! And thanks for making my bacon xtra crispy!!!! You won’t be disappointed. A little pricy but worth the freshness and the customer experience/ service 😊

Ingredients seemed OK, but the two dishes we got lacked flavor, which is not really a risk one expects when ordering breakfast enchiladas. Food came out insanely fast (almost worrisome). And, not to be a diva, especially at a chill brunch spot, but both of our water glasses were empty - we left before they could have been refilled.

Food was bombbb💣 The roared green tomatoes and #2 toast starters were so good. The cappuccino was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Scotty nova was so flavorful. One of my top brunch houses so far. Really loved the ambiance as well.

Beautiful little spot in Birmingham Michigan. The style is very unique. I would recommend the bacon rice for its very fresh tasting vegetables and campfire hot chocolate on a brisk cold day. Stop by this place you will definitely be impressed with Toast!

Gem of a brunch spot in the area. Great food and service. Wait times typically range anywhere between 30 to 45 mins. But the food is worth the wait. They have appetizing menu options for food and drinks. Highly recommend this brunch spot

Toast is a fantastic breakfast or brunch restaurant with a fun, laid back atmosphere and unique, delicious menu. There are so many omelette and pancake options that you don't normally see. I opted for the wild-mushroom omelette with a side of bacon fried rice and apple cinnamon pancakes.

👍👍 This was my first time at Hattie B’s and I can’t believe I waited this long. It was absolutely the best chicken I have ever had! The Pimento Mac and Cheese was fire! The Bacon Cheddar grits were good but nothing too special. The Potato Salad was to die for!!! I made sure to save room for dessert and...
