This palace is located in tangail district. I visit here July 2020. I love thia place so much. Here we spend some quality time. In afternoon here nature looks like cool. Here we found a pond and swimming sometimes. Now here ticket price some increase. If you go here you found ancient history. This palace is now running as a picnic spot. Love this place.

Located in Dhanbari, this palace is accessible from Dhaka via public bus transportation. While not particularly large in size, the palace offers a serene environment, featuring a lake and several historical buildings. Though these structures remain locked, visitors can still appreciate their exteriors and surroundings.

Dhanbari Nawab Palace is situated at the heart of Dhanbari a Sub District or upazila of Tangail district in Dhaka division. there are number of landlords houses in triangle district this one is one of them. the place is not far from Dhanbari upazila office. The place is easily traceable and accessible There are several interesting things and places to see there. Though it is not a big one, so you won't have to lose much time to explore the whole of the place. At first you will see the palace, which is well decorated. Previously I saw in pictures that there had a lot of eye soothing flower decoration all around the place which locked very beautiful. but unfortunately, during my visit I found that the people who have been appointed to take care of this place, are not that much caring for this place; though I am not sure about the people who are taking care of it but they are not doing the work or their work properly. There is a Ghat and this one May bring some peace in your mind. As soon as you finish exploring the palace, you can go for the mosque situated just beside the palace. There is a unique speciality of this mosque and that is the recitation from the holly Quran never stops here. It continues all day and nigh, whatever happens. There have wheelchair accessible entrance and parking all around. So, you can visit there with your personal vehicle. If you are choosy about your food, you are suggested to bring food with you. Have traveling.... Peace........

Looking beautiful the architecture of the building is up to the mark. Only one bad & unfair things is the entry ticket fee, It's 80tk. Is too much and unethical. Otherwise everything is fine. The building of the Masjid near Nabab place is looking too nice, when you look at the mosjid you feel peach in mind. So request to the caretaker please reduce the entry ticket fee.

Dhanbari Nawab Palace is a charming site with a lake and historic buildings. Although the structures are locked, visitors can still admire their exteriors and the beautiful surroundings. Located in Dhanbari, it's easily accessible from Dhaka by public bus. The palace, now known as 'Royal Resort' under the management of 'Light House,' is in Dhanbari Upazila, Tangail district, around 150 km from Dhaka city on the Tangail-Jamalpur highway. While not massive, the palace provides a peaceful atmosphere, making it a pleasant visit. #DhanbariNawabPalace #HistoricSite

The 'Nawab Palace' ;present 'Royal Resort' monitored authority of ' Light House', is located in Dhanbari Upazila of Tangail district, about 150 km away from Dhaka city on Tangail - Jamalpur higway. This palace was built by the Nawab Ali Chowdhury during 1919 to invite the British Lord Ronaldshay. He Came near Koyra using the Steamer and had a reception with 30 elephants. It was owned by Muslim landlords, so they didn’t have to leave the country or had nothing to fear. They were powerful during their ruling period. And yet still they are powerful on that region now a days. That’s why this palace is still in a very good condition and has been taken proper care to maintain its state. One of the decedents from the Nawab Family named Nawab Hasan Ali Chowdhury was the Industrial Minister during the reign of East Pakistan. Also he was a member of the Parliament during 1978. Later, after his death, his daughter Saiyeda Asheka Akbar was the member of the Parliament during 1981. This information will give you an idea about their power and now you understand why the palace is still in a good condition. This 700-year-old traditional mosque adds beauty to the royal resort of Dhanbari Nawab Manzil. Built in the Mughal style of architecture, the Dhanbari Mosque features exquisite craftsmanship in its mosaics and marble floors. This Dhanbari mosque, built on about 10 khata land, was rectangular in appearance earlier, but after various renovations, it has now become square in shape.

Well preserved than most of our historical sites, but they could turn it into a museum instead of a so-called resort. I can still remember visiting there in the early 90s; the interior was nothing but extraordinary. People should be able to experience those artifacts not only in books but in person. I hope the authority will get that sooner.

There is nothing good inside. But they take 80 taka to enter which is very high. There was only some historical pictures in the belkoni. But you can't enter in the building . Only VIP can enter in the building which disappointed me. You can enter there only to take some snape. But the mosque which is outside was very beautiful.

Dhanbari Nawab Palace is located in Dhanbari Upazila of Tangail district, about 150 km away from Dhaka city on Tangail - Jamalpur highway. Localy it is called Nawab Manjil/ Zamidar Bari. Now it has been converted a Resort. All the rooms are locked and you are allowed only to look out side which is not that much attractive. Few old photos are hanging on the veranda. You have to pay Taka 80/= to get entry in the premises which seems high. There is a small children park and a Dighi (Big Pond) at the eastern side of the palace. There is also a three-domed beautiful mosque at the eastern side. The interior and the out side of the mosque is decorated with chini-tikri mosaic having floral patterns in most cases.

It is a traditional zamindar palace. Which has stood as a historical monument for 700 years. Very nice to see the enchanting environment and wonderful sights.

Entry ticket 100 which was not worthy enough. Entry was restricted to the old rooms,Nobab Darbar hall, no mesuem. Totally waste of time & money. Rather than Mosjid was good enough. Allhamdulilah

I was totally disappointed to enter this house after traveling 40 kilometers in the evening Hemnagar zamindar bari. There is nothing in that house except the front part of the main building. The pictures circulating on the internet about this house can be seen from the side of the beauty practice of this mosque for free. The price of the entry 80 Taka does not go with the beauty in any way. If anyone wants to visit this house, I would suggest to visit the mosque next door. Moreover, there are many abandoned zamindar houses in the vicinity which are much more beautiful.

Govt. should take more care of this historical place. It's not a place for dating!! We aren't giving 80 taka( that's too much compared to other places in Bangladesh) to see the couple's sitting behind trees and exploring each other rather than experiencing the heritage..

There is nothing special as per ticket price 80 tk per person. Only have a nawab palace but can’t enter the room & can’t see anything without a building. So, it’s just a building to take some pictures, also in the same thing in middle area. Not worth place as per ticket price.

  • 3/5 Kumar S. 2 years ago on Google
Nothing special to see but costs 80BDT ! Apparently, it’s overrated compared with ticket price.

  • 4/5 Bushra T. 2 years ago on Google
There is a counter outside, at the left hand side of the main gate, on the wall where you buy tickets (80 Bdt/person). You can go inside the kachari, the palace you first see. But you cannot go inside the main palace which is restricted. There are slippers and swings for recreation. You can take picture. You can use the ticket for maximum 2 hours. No one is allowed after 5 pm and the gate is closed. There is no food to buy inside. But outside the gate there are stalls all around where you can buy tea, or other food.
