After the first bad impressions, we thought we would give this hotel another chance but things got even worse later. Our air conditioning, despite several attempts to report was still not fixed after 4 days. The bed sheets and towels were worn out and torn. After 2 days we had ants everywhere in the room. The queues are an absolute nightmare. People are pushing eachother to get food since there arent available seats for everyone. And to top it all off, there’s a concert hall next door so if you’re planning have a quiet evening in, you can kiss it goodbye since you can literally feel the beat in your bed. Food is mediocre and drinks are very limited. Overall a terrible experience.

The absolute WORST HOTEL EVER! Let me save you some money and time, do not go there. It is a cesspool. No cleaning, bad rooms, bad service, terrible condition, awful smell, bad food and very very DIRTY restaurants. This hotel should not be open. They need health, safety and cleanliness guidelines. They will not refund your money even if you don't want to stay there. It was awful. As you can see in the photos, people were so angry and wanted to leave this place but they wouldn’t refund them. We left even though we did not get our money back. It was so dirty, we didn’t want to risk getting sick.

EDIT: I'm dropping the rating to 1 star, as the hotel is going down, and it's currently closed (from what I've heard from other tourists who stayed there after us). Last couple of days of our stay were a horror with long queues in the restaurant, lacking food, we've heard about some cases of food poisoning (with a 5 yo who ended up in a hospital under IV due to severe dehydration after constant vomiting). Let's start with good stuff: this place has a huge potential. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, pretty good swimming pools (1 big, 3 small and a small water park with slides and kids area). But all of this is completely ruined by couple of facts: - last Saturday (3.08.2019) the restaurant staff went on strike. The tables were not cleaned, there were literally piles of dirty plates everywhere, there was only one cook behind the counter (previously there were at least 3 with at least 2 more outside), barely anything to eat was left. Since then the table crew have been replaced and trained, but I can't say the same about the kitchen staff. The food is repeating every day, most of it is made from frozen bits (meats, nuggets, fries, pastries etc). Half of the stations are off, and there are long waiting lines for everything - the terrain around the hotel is neglected, especially the piers at the seaside. There are holes where you can fall in and break a leg or injure yourself heavily. - a lot of sunbeds around the area are broken, and nobody is fixing or replacing them - despite the fact that we had all inclusive ultra, there were no imported alcohols available at the bars (they were promised by the hotel manager on TripAdvisor website) and the local replacements are, let's say, disappointing - AC in some of the rooms is very inefficient and has to run 24/7 to keep the interior cool. The staff gives extra room cards to ensure this. To sum it up: great potential, mostly wasted. Definitely not the advertised 5 star level. I hope someone buys this place, renovates it to match the standards and makes it shine again, because current owners don't seem to care.

Terrible place, dirty, not 5*, staff is on daily strikes cause the new managment is not paying them... it was recommended by last year's visitors, but this year is a disaster, especially last few weeks. We left before checking in...

Tasteless kitchen, unprofessional workers, weak security. If you are cool with the same type of food every time, then this place is for you. There are also good things of course. Rooms are clean and super comfortable, beach and pools are great. This hotel is ok for only 1 or 2 nights but if you are planning to spend all your time in the hotel then this place is not gonna satisfy you for sure.

My wife and me had a little runaway here as a gift for the wedding. The food is good, but everything else is different than expected from a 5 star hotel. The WiFi is so weak, it does not work in the room, and barely works in the common areas. The lamp on the bedside table in the room has no socket to connect to. Why place it there then? The toilet paper holder was destroyed, falling apart just by touching it on the wall. The overall lightning in the bathroom is weak with a capital W. Same applies to all the other common areas, including the hallways. Atmospheric feeling of being in a thriller, go figure... There are too few sunbeds around the pool to accommodate all guests. Same applies to the beach. The beach is 4 meter wide at maximum, so given 2 sunbeds you have about 30 cm to walk on. The beach is rocky, use sandals when swimming. Most staff does not speak English but are helpful. All in all, totally unacceptable experience of a 5 star hotel in 2017. It feels like a scam. I suggest the management rethink their business model and customer offers.

On first impressions the hotel was perfect. However that stop at check in, our room had broken air conditioning was told it would be fixed in the morning, which I accepted as we arrived gone 1am. Got to room had to climb stairs (I've just had a spinal operation, this mix up I blame jet 2 for) room was nice, clean and big. Room 1104. Although they were abit tight only 2 coffees no tea and no milk. Little did I know this was a theme of the hotel. Next day still no aircon no water left no toilet roll we were on one strip rations. Rang through to reception 12 hours later still nothing, had to ring again. Went to see jet 2 rep about room and various other issues one being the restaurant was disgusting and dirty. Was promised a room Friday best room in the hotel he said! Sea view he said! This was if we put up with no aircon and they would give us a fan. So we said yes ok feeling happy they would keep to their word! Well see pictures about best room in Hotel! I'd hate to see the worst rooms view. (Room 4117) basically back of the water slides. Anyway was just glad to have aircon and not sleep in my own sweat... 4 days in and I wouldn't rate this a 5 star hotel. If you haven't been to one before it may be ok for you but if you have I wouldn't bother you'll be disappointed. The food is buffet mush and rush, service from the staff is like an effort. Glasses smashed on the floor and they arnt bothered bits of glass still left on floor after cleaning. This is not turkey as I know it and I've Bern to many parts of Turkey were they can't do enough to help you. Here you're an inconvenience, saying that this does not apply to all staff maybe 2 or 3 are nice. If you want drinks I suggest you get them 3 at a time for one person as they are quite tight. The electric must be off for the fridges as the water is warm. Use a app to translate because English isn't great. Overall I wouldn't come again. We started going into didim centre 5lira for 2 on a bus and 30 lira taxi. Recommend Istanbul bar lovely service and staff. Even sending us a free car there and back tonight. This hotel is maybe a 2 star in my eyes.

Hotel is very nice and i like vibes of this place. Rooms are always clean, food is tasty, pools are clean as well. But the only thing that is makes you sad when u go there is Wi-Fi. It’s only in one place and because of it connection is not good too. Please work on it Definitely will come again👍🏻

Today in the morning we returned from a wonderful week in The Roxy Luxury Hotel. It was a amazing week with great and kind people such as the animators that were very friendly and full of energy. Not only were the animators very kind but also the cleaners, photographers, and cooks. There were fantastic animations through out the whole day that kept my family and I busy and entertained at all times, including the eveaning shows. We also had a beautiful room and the hotel was very clean and well taken care of. I am extremely pleased with my visit at the hotel, I really recommend visiting and I would love to go back to the hotel in the future.

Very nice hotel but.... Invariably the food was luke warm very much same same. I know we arrived at the end of the season but this is supposed to be 5 star. They ran out of shower gel for the bathroom, wine at various times and even soft drinks in the onsite bars. The mini bar in the room consisted of a bottle of water, three cans of soft drink and a small bottle of soda. Once used they were not replenished, so to say the room has a mini bar is an insult. The majority of the staff really should have gone home as the attitude towards guests left a lot to be desired. The theme night meal was disgusting and even that was cold. How can so called chefs not manage to make meals for less than 20 people, at least edible and hot. Distance from cooking area to table about 10ft. Had booked the Aurum executive but it was changed with only 4 days to go, so really didn't have much of a choice. Certainly on this showing I would never choose this hotel again.

Reception is very slow and makes you upset. They made us wait for more than 2 hours. No parking place for your car. I had to call three times to get them fill mini bar and only by 23:30 :( so far sea is great, food is ok. Rooms are very nice. Air condition at restaurant and lobby is NOT adequate.

I stayed in aurum moon for 8 days. So now I am going to tell you the positive and negative points of this hotel (even details that seem important to me for a 5 star hotel) : Positive: - The food is really tasty and quite various. Nothing to say about their kitchen. - The beach is large enough to welcome all the customers of the hotel so it won't be hard to find some place. - The design of the rooms and the hotel itself is luxurious. The pool is big enough. Negative: - The WiFi is very weak around the pool and doesn't work AT ALL in the rooms. - The animations are bad compared to other hotel I have been to. There is supposed to be a pool game every day at 12:00 but it happened only ONCE during my 8 days here. The animations on the evening are made by the animation team, no professional dancers compared to other hotels. You just get bored watching them trying to dance or whatever. - The "disco" isn't a real disco. It's just an open area where they put music but no one dares to go dancing because as it's open, everybody (parents, children...) is watching the area. - Even if the beach is large from left to right it is very narrow from the water to the back. Like 3 or 4 meters maximum. It isn't a pretty beach with sand, it's rocky. - The food service in the afternoon is supposed tonne until 17:00 but at 16:30 they say it's over. - Very important : there is no parking !!! - For the food, at any time, there is always at least 15/20 minutes of queue because they put only one spot for each sort, so people wait so long. If they had put each sort of food in 2 different spot, people would split and they wouldn't be that much queue. - You must negotiate the price because I compared with other customers during my week, and we didn't pay the same price ! - It's far from Didim's center town so when we got bored at evening we didn't had anything else to do. To finish, this isn't what a 5 star hotel should be ! In apparence it's beautiful and luxurious but in fact there is so much negative points. I wouldn't recommend it, I got so bored that I was happy the holiday was over.

Don't let any bad reviews put you off this is a well maintained and run hotel/resort. As with any resort which can have upwards of a thousand plus guests each day it gets busy and the facilities take a hammering. Take this into account. There were a lot of reviews giving negative or bad feedback but if you read them properly you'll find most of the complaints are about things outside of the hotels control,.such as greedy visitors, guests not knowing a word of Turkish but expecting the staff to be fluent in English, Russian etc. Some bigoted reviews as well which don't carry any sway with me. The food was good standard all inclusive fayre with a large choice and range which would suit all dietary requirements. If you want fresh salad items they're available as are cooked items. Yes it's repetitive but that's the nature of these resorts. If you're looking for five star luxury and expecting to be waited on hand and foot you won't get it, however that said this hotel was clean, well presented and the staff were good at doing what they should. The room I was in was in the beach block with a sea view. Couldn't fault the room it was clean as was the bathroom. The shower was amazingly good and toiletries were provided. The housekeeping cleaned the room well and did this each day, some of the housekeeping staff are better then other though and we had a different one for the second half of the week and although she cleaned everything didn't quite have the attention to detail of the first one. The beach was perfectly adequate we were able to get a lounger everyday and went in the sea everyday which was warm and clear. The beachfront bar served alcoholic and soft drinks and the staff were good. There was one evening where some of the popular drinks ran out, Bailey's, gin, white wine but there were others available and they were back in stock the very next morning. To summarise, would I recommend..... Certainly would, try and stay just out of season and we paid a total of £35 a night for the two of us all inclusive bear this in mind when booking. To all the negative reviewers, I appreciate you may have had some issues but don't forget what you pay a night and the fact that some of your gripes aren't the fault of the hotel. Finally j should mention the entertainment... The animation team were good, not for me however, not my thing and the evening entertainment was good. All in for £245 for a week for two of us all inclusive I certainly can't moan. Thanks.
