Art
is
intrinsic
to
our
human
experience,
it
is
to
the
human
soul
as
medicine
to
the
human
body.
Befriending
art
has
transformed
my
life
beyond
the
monotonicity
of
misery
and
despair.
A
painting
can
hold
within
it,
the
secrets
to
your
existence
and
reveals
to
you
the
keys
for
your
maladies.
It’s
not
the
artist
that
unveils
themself
in
the
painting,
it’s
the
sitter
that
becomes
part
of
the
Painting
and
find
in
it
the
remedies
to
their
soul.
The
gallery
has
been
a
source
of
inspiration
and
priceless
education
to
many,
since
its
opening
in
1854.
At
times
of
crisis,
it
is
more
important
that
the
doors
to
the
Gallery
should
be
wide
open,
let
it
be
a
refuge
for
the
lost
souls.
I
would
like
to
remind
you
of
George
Bernard
Shaw,
how
he
spent
hours
wandering
the
rooms
of
the
gallery
calling
it
a
place
to
which
he
owed
“much
of
the
only
real
education
I
ever
got
as
a
boy
in
Eire”
Please
negotiate
with
the
government
and
health
officials,
how
to
operate
safely,
while
keeping
your
doors
open.
My
dear
friend.
