Hotel 20 Mars was great if you imagine it as a youth hostel. The wifi was excellent, and it's location was ideal - on the edge of the souk with several sandwich shops within close walking distance, as well as a Carrefour and Aziza. The owners were kind and helpful, letting us store some food items in the kitchen fridge, and dealing with our lack of Arabic and French. The AC was possibly the best feature, it being July when we were there. The breakfast was just baguettes and yoghurt, but my friends really enjoyed the fig jam, and there was coffee! The courtyard was lovely and we ate some extra meals on the upstairs balcony.

I hope this place opens back up. The nightly entertainment was mesmerizing and experiencing the nearby International Festival of the Sahara was fantastic -wonderful lasting memories.

Opened 24/7. The owner saved us when we arrived at 5am to Douz and gave us a room. Clean and cheap 30dn for a double one. Also they offer tours and excursions. For a very reasonable price, much more cheaper than you can find online. We went with private guide Mohammed and enjoyed it a lot. Very recommendable.

Hotel is near the Louage station and is central. Room is basic, reception not too welcoming, door of the room has a bit difficulty to close and lock. This hotel' s services is the worst I have ever stayed during my 2 weeks in Tunisia so far.

Perfect. Loved the room, small but just right. Beautiful simple decorations. We had a room with private bathroom. It was all very clean and súper price for what they offer You. Also breakfast is included and delicious. Will come again.

One of the best Hotel I ever stayed in

I love Douz! I stayed in Hotel 20 Mars a few years back. My memories are of doing Tai Chi on the roof and in a square when I thought everyone was at evening prayers and having a friendly discussion with the manager & not so friendly visitor about reading the Koran in your own language (if you don't speak Arabic). Most of all I remember, being alone, going to bed early and a folk music party starting soon after. I heard people speaking French but when I met them next morning, they turned out to be Czech. The group guide by an amazing coincidence, was an attractive woman from Prague whom I had met the year before during an Irish rain storm in Killarney. Unfortunately, I did not bump into her when I visited Prague a few months later. A great place to stay.

Small but clean single room, 13 dinar per night. Clean public shower and toilet. Breakfast included. Wifi strong.

I enjoyed a lot staying at this small and cosy hotel in the city center of Douz. It has a big courtyard and rooms are displayed arount it. Some rooms have private bathroom and aircon, some rooms have a shared bathroom and no aircondition. Breakfast is pretty basic but ok. Internet works well in the rooms. I also booked with them a desert trip and stayed one night in the desert near Douz - I had a shock though to ask for another piece of melted cheese and to be told there's nothing else to eat for breakfast.

Great place and not expensive. Rooms with showers and also hot water. Brilliant central location if you are solo travelling and are coming off the bus or louage
