Myself and my daughter dropped in to Brogans on our way home from croke park after a somewhat disappointing display from the Dubs but it was great to visit Brogan's and i have to say the pint off Guinness was cracking like golden nectar i have always enjoyed dropping in to Brogans it's one off the very few bar's left in Dublin City that has retained it's old style decor and always a warm and friendly welcome from the bar staff well worth a visit.

Spacious, hospitable decent prices and a gorgeous pint of stout. The young barman showed a depth of awareness and bar craft far beyond his years. A great spot for a pint before a show or if you have some time to kill.

Great pub with a local feel to it. Super Guinness and friendly staff. It would be my go to pub for meeting people in town with it's perfect centre location.

A real Irish pub in the heart of Dublin. Nicest pint of smithwicks in town.

Went here for the first time last weekend. I saw a video ranting and raving about their Guinness, putting it to the same standard as a well known bar that do one of the best pints in Dublin. The pint looked lovely in this video so, myself and a friend headed in to try it. The pints we got were shocking. They weren't cold enough, they were bitter and the head had turned brown and disappeared in no time. They were in absolutely no, way shape or form to the same standard as the other pub the video had mentioned and they looked nothing like the pint the guy in the video was given. The bloke that poured our pints was more concerned about looking busy than taking the care to pour a good pint. He spent his time running up and down the bar pulling taps, then over to the till and doing a million things at once, all to serve 3 people. It was the kind of movement you would expect from a barman in a busy nightclub or venue at midnight on a Saturday, not before 6pm to a pretty quiet pub.

Brogans was quite on a Wednesday night. Pint rating from 3 pint drinking Dubs was 6.7 out of 10 and that was been generous. Great pub but pint should be better!

Nice quieter bar.. Away from the madness. Still a good atmosphere and attentive staff.

Popped in for a drink before the Olympia and I wasn't disappointed. Prompt service from the very capable young barman and a lovely pair of drinks. I would definitely recommend Brogans.

Visited here during a recent stag, spent a good while here sipping on pints and spirits, decent boozer spent most of it standing outside watching life go by

Great craic, pints, service and Guinness memorabilia. Beautiful building, landlord says it’s the oldest on Dame Street.

Just arrived in the city, I walked one hour in circles to find a decent pub in Dublin. Lots of tourist everywhere. Music too loud in many placed. Finally i decided to step in the Brogans. Best choise ever made. Nice pint at reasonable price for Dublin (6,50 euro). Nice Guinness. Loved the pub and met some locals. Thanks for your company to Peter and David (Piero e Davíde 😅) and for the pints. Thanks to the owner for the pub's style. Very simple. Real pub! With off course no table service. No funny clothes for the waiters.

Great old pub and a really nice pint. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place really comes alive after 11pm where it's standing room only.

Another great little historic pub. A good and fair price for a pint of Guinness. There's does need to be better ventilation, as going in there especially when there is a game going on, the place can be a sweat box. Other than that, the atmosphere in the place is great.

Nice place to visit. Handy location with a good atmosphere. The young barman was very friendly and made it a very pleasureable experience as he was was very attentive. Typical price rating for Dublin City centre. Only down fall for the place was the toilets they were very small and filthy dirty one had vomit all over the toilet walls and floor we were there for over two hours and it was still in it when we were leaving. Other then that can't really fault it.

Brogans is a well established ale house in the centre, and is a pleasant spot for a beer or two when in that area of town.

Always a good shout before a gig in the Olympia, Brogan's (formerly the City Hall) is a decent destination in its own right. Well worth checking out.

Was in last niht before Beatles gig, Great staff very friendly even tho place was packed to the rafters which generated a good atmosphere, but Rushed Guinness not good and the place needs a good clean especially the windows which a couple were broken and boarded up ..toilets also need attention no excuse

One of my fav! Great old brown pub with probably the best Guinness in town. Great to just sit down and have a chat. A real artistic pub as well, lots of locals and theater folk come here. No music is played and any important sports are on. If I remember correctly, you do need to pay with cash. Really love this place!

Good pint. Best in the radius between the Citizen Edward fitzgerald and a couple of cans in trinity on an east west Point and Ryan's on Camden Street and any pub on the north side on a North South point.

Had a lovely couple of Heinekens and the company I was with had a couple of Guinness and bottles of coke. The owner, Ben, had a full bar but was handling his customers and their orders very quickly. A good few hours in the afternoon were well worth the visit.

Good venue for drinks before gigs around Temple Bar. One drawback is that is can get packed. Thats the price of success.
